Hmm, yeah I think I did catch wind of this. But ALSO, the Lego MMO in the works... Now that is what I call awsome. They have the scope to add any "world" in at any time and it will fit perfectly. City Lego for a Second Life/sims type experience, Harry Potter or whatever lego for wow style fantasy, racing car lego for, well, racing games, and space or Star Wars lego for planetside/guildwars style deathmatch. And while most MMO's let you collect and upgrade your equipment, how many allow you to upgrade and swap out your fucking head!? That's what I'd do with it anyway.

It's going to be Zelda, isn't it? Or... a nintendog! We can pass him around, train him something, then pass him on again. Imagine how fucked up he'll get with so many owners! -
Yeah, I was never all that enamoured with Resident Evil (mainly due to the afore-mentioned people-that-drive-like-atruck thing). I always seemed more fun to watch than to play (I actually watched someone play through most of RE1 and 2, so I knew what was what). All that changed with RE4. The over-the shoulder controls were the best thing they did to the series. RE4 does have some scary stuff in, although the majority of the horror is of the "oh shit that giant thing is after me" type. It's a superb game though. Looking forward to number 5.

Also, I really *is* nice in real life, and I is also devilishly handsome. And yeah talking to Nachimir was a little bit like looking in a magic mirror that turned my hair blonde. Was fun chatting with you dude

Hey, the uncanny valley is a nice theory. The problem is that no-one has any idea what to do about it right now. It will only be crossed slowly and incremementally and it will likely be in another 10 years or so.

I thought that was going to be lame, until he started picking up bits of laser, at which point it became brilliant.

You can get a return ticket for about £18 , London to Brighton, if you ask for the right thing at the right time. Welcome to the British rail system.

Innovative marketing ploy though, wasn't it?

DEVELOP CONFERENCE: PEOPLE WHO SHOULDN'T BE THERE WATCH
DanJW replied to Salka's topic in Idle Banter
They're in Brighton? Amazing. I'm going to try and sell them a Big Issue. -
What video?

consolevania's international shared game playing thing

An RPG like fallout might work, but for the "where to save" thing. Imagine loading it up to find that everyone hates you Oh wait, that's like real life -
FACT: the Develop conference is installing klaxons that will sound automatically at Yuftser's approach. For your safety, duck and cover if you hear the klaxons. And for the love of gord don't say anything until they stop.

I just found this awesome excerpt from Discover magazine. They set up the two top ranked Chatbot AI to talk to each other. It is sumultaneously the greatest and most disturbing thing I have read in a long time. Edit: yes even more than Facade.

Cor. What a faux par!

Yeah, I bought Shadow of the Colossus while I didn't have access to a PS2. Had to be done.

Yeah, hopefully something like "Level 1: retreive your ejected eyeball from up a tree while trying not to snag your optic nerve on the various obstacles."

Oh yeah, since no-one answered earlier - I suspect that the guy in the parker is a reference to another well known home-made game review show broadcast on internet. Who may or may not have a representative quoted on the thumb frontpage.

Sonic is out on XBLA. Everyone owns some form of copy, but yay! anyway. Blue Sky in Games FTW

Hahahah, I wonder what the BBFC will make of this?!

I think they do enjoy it. Also Videogaiden has much shorter episodes over a shorter period of time. Consolevania can be produced at their own pace and they obviously have more freedom with what they can do. And yeah, the "sponsors" stuff looks like a reference to the beeb to me Also, when he tuned round to find Watson behind him, I lolled. And finally - good eulogy to the Overblood jokes too

Halo PC was quite possibly the worst port ever. Especially for a game that started out development on PC.
