Why not just add a chemical to all foodstuffs that kills you if you fancy a 12 year old? Of course, there will have to be special foodstuffs for 12-year-olds that fancy their peers.
  2. Paedophiles

OK, I'll vote for you. Do you have any other policies I should be aware of?
  3. God of War

Ah the wraiths. I hate those guys, especially on god difficulty. Yeah, blocking them while they spin is the safest way, and grappling them finishes them off nicely.

What about those areas of the world where a girl is considered a woman when she starts menstruating? Biologically speaking, that is the most logical time (not psychologically or ethically speaking mind you).

Of course, he'd only do so if someone told him that's what people wanted.
  6. Agent 47

You totally should. Even if you can't find the save games, all the missions are worth replaying anyway.
  7. Did you know...

What? did you read it? Where does it agree with you? Did you know that youngest mother on record was just 5 years old?
  8. Agent 47

Ah, well Yeah the mississippi missions were my least favourite as well. You should definitely keep playing though, as the next batch is Las Vegas, starting with a really tricky but fantastic casino level.

Ooh, I just finished Blood Money! Fantastic game, just as everyone said. The "bonus" mission at the end is a nice payoff too. Replaying now, trying to get Silent Assassin on all Pro missions. It occurred to me that when playing for Silent Assassin, Blood Money is really a puzzle adventure game. I know I'd probably be lynched for saying that on adventure gamers though. Anyway, the game oozes style, especially the vegas levels, and I absolutely love the intro movie with the tree and the crows and the grave (nicely in keeping with the superb roses scene in Hitman 2). I've got a nasty feeling now that the Hitman movie will completely miss the mark in terms of style and atmosphere And this ultimately, might be the problem with all games-to-film.

People say that about Carmack every time he speaks about something. We know by now that he's an engineer, not really a games designer. I mean listen to his voice. He's even nerdier than Bill Gates. 'People' and understanding them are not his strong point. Why do you think he talks about 'the artists' in such reverent 'your's is an arcane knowledge' tones? edit: also, despite everything, I am really into terrain and landscapes in games these days. Maybe it was WoW that did it to me. Plus, if id can do for vehicular combat (which in most games that feature it is rather clunky) what they did for run-and-gun, then that can only be a good thing.
  11. God of War

Hahaha miffy, glad you like it. You're in for more treats, believe me
  12. Quake Zero: Free Browse-Quake 3

Presumably it will be exactly the same as playing Quake 3 in windowed mode, no?
  13. God of War

If you're fast, you can break out of the statue before you're smashed, by waggling the sticks. Oh man, the medusas (sorry, gorgons) in GoW 2 are even worse: some of them have instant "flash" gazes. Then you learn how to waggle a stick, let me tell you.
  14. God of War

which instant death thing are you talking about? The medusas? Most of the really dangerous attacks can be avoided after a little learning. Just remember to roll like crazy It is a pretty punishing game though, I guess.
  15. Did you know...

Did you know that Chuck Norris actively endorses outrageous claims about himself?
  16. God of War

Not really. It keeps throwing in enough new attack moves, spells, enemies, environments, traps and puzzles to keep it varied. Sounds like you were at the siege of Athens, about 1/3 of the way through. There's much cooler stuff later in the game. And then the sequal really does kick it up a notch.

Quake. Heheh, well id have always had that naming strategy. It's other people that have copied them.
  18. Did you know...

I did Marek, but thanks for reminding me! I love that octopus.
  19. Did you know...

Yufster is right on that one.
  20. Did you know...

Did you know that in the UK approximately 1 in 7 children are illegitimate and do not know?
  21. Rage: more quakecon news

Yeah, thats a really nice toolset. I'm of the opinion that having good tools for your level designers and environment artists to work with greatly improves the game. Also I think he said there that the toolset will ship with the game. Woot!
  22. Quake Zero: Free Browse-Quake 3

I notice that Heretic II is absent. That game was hilarious in multiplayer: you could lop the opponents arms off and then just wait for them to bleed to death. Or you could use the "turn them into a chicken" spell, with a 1 in 100 chance that they turn into a giant 15ft superstrong Chicken of Doom.
  23. Resident Evil 4 Wii

I thought he'd have better taste
  24. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=79207 WTF!! Is this a case of the left hand punching the right hand in the face? (man I'm awesome at metaphors). Spaff informs me that "John Riccitiello is fucking hardcore" - nevertheless he fails to mention Madden, or any of the other EA franchises that makes them the worst fucking offender of exactly what he is talking about. It's like that Fast Show sketch, with the men being EA and the Woman That Men Can't Hear being the rest of the game industry.
