My god! Scavenger mode is intense!

What? From Broken Sword's Charles Cecil. This should be.. interesting. I'm kind of already sold on the idea, as long as it isn't an ultra-realistic war-torn take on Minesweeper.

The Secret of Monkey Island... Deleted Scenes!
BigJKO replied to ThunderPeel2001's topic in Video Gaming
Fair enough. I guess I've just worked on too many productions myself where time and money was short and it ended up being something I was proud of, yet not the best thing possible, with a lot of oversights. Working on a tight schedule means you'll make mistakes and still work 24 hours a day.. -
The Secret of Monkey Island... Deleted Scenes!

I'm also sure LucasArts has enough time and money. The Special Edition team, however? Not so sure and don't know why you're so sure. Did you read some memo about the development that I didn't? Anyways, it's your opinion. It just sounded kind of shitty, the team saying "We didn't uncomment a couple of sections of hidden scenes, because we respect the fact that they were never meant to be there anyway," and you immediately calling it out as "lazy". -
The Secret of Monkey Island... Deleted Scenes!

Oh, come on. LucasArts may have gone down the shitter as a whole, the Special Edition wasn't as good as it should've been, but you can't really say the team is lazy. For all you know they did their absolute best, within the time and money constraints given to them. -
I like how the profile settings, etc. are all waves as well. Shows off the power of waves.

It's important we get this right. I'm certain he devoured it. But on a serious note,

Close Range: The Game Where You Shoot People in the Face

I'm really looking forward to playing them through again, without pauses, when the DVD is out. Right now, it just feels like a long, single adventure game that I'm enjoying, just a bit at a time. It's awesome.

Finally got around to downloading my copy of the latest one, and it was awesome! Definately my favorite, so far. It felt so epic. And the manatee love-part was fantastic. Loads of great, very episode-specific puzzle designs and mechanics. I was really afraid I was about to go on a slimy grub hunt, but it turned into an awesome face-off face hunt instead. Hope the Pirate face-off thing isn't just a one-off mechanic for this episode. Would love to see more of it, when we get closer to the finale. All of the characters were pretty great in this one. And I'm really rooting for a little bit more romance between Guybrush and the bounty hunter (whose name I've forgotten, again), they have great chemistry. In a different way than the great chemistry between him and Elaine. Oh, I'm talking gibberish. I just loved this episode so much. Oh, and the end credits were hilarious. "Like these people had anything to do with it." Good job, Jake and rest of Telltale crew.

http://www.thedeadbolt.com/news/106527/monty_python_jimmy_fallon_news.php The first bit is the best, as well as Eric Idle's answer to Jimmy Fallon's question "Did you ever think the show would be a disaster?"

Sour puss..

Screw that! I'm begging! Puuuuhleeeze, the next one who gets an invite, hand it over to an invite-starving bugger like me.

Why do I remember the Hell music being somewhat more dramatic and hell-ish, and not elevator-music-y at all like in the video? Other than that, I remember the sound effects as always being sort of trashy, noisy and all on top of eachother.

I like the idea that Epic Mickey focuses on all the old, forgotten Disney creations and how they're turning against the memorable ones.

Just watched it tonight, and it is indeed great. Reece Thompson is awesome. In fact, most of the cast nails it. I've heard it resembles a film called Brick, which I now have to see. Anyways, this film needs more word-of-mouth as I hadn't heard of it until Scrobbs mentioned it.

Oh, yeah. The intro with the tarot cards was awesome! What a great way to catch up on the story so far. Also, indeed the transitions were amazing. They add so much. Although, the transition from the big island (with the two arguing pirates) did seem to stay on blank water for a little too long.

Run DMC makes everything awesome.

Ah, finished! This was awesome! Only got stuck twice, and that was more a case of me not exploring enough. Anyways, this one felt really tight. A lot more focused, the music was very memorable and the humour and timing was a lot better IMO.

Talk to Morgan. You owe her something.

I already like Episode 2 a lot more than the first one! The first puzzle was fun, and the whole had me laughing.
-
Oh, I thought it was Telltale's concept art Guybrush... But yeah, it was definately just thrown in to show scale and such.
-
It's still the same drawings in the foreground, though. He just applies fancy transparency, reflections and lighting on them, which IMO enhances the ambience.

I'm kind of liking it. Some of the graphics looks fine, some of it looks really, really amateur. But mostly I'm enjoying going through it again. But the motherfucker has started crashing constantly. And not even just back to desktop. It's restarting the god-damn computer! I can't get past the Fettuccini brothers section without it crashing my computer... Now I'm sad.

And they're up! Joy. EDIT: The price is right. 5$ per game. And there are some awesome instruction booklets for Loom and Last Crusade.
