I can confirm that it is understandable, to a certain degree, without having read the comics. And my girlfriend didn't get the video game references, but understood that they were Video game bleeps/bloops/references. That's a start, right? And I enjoyed the film immensely!

Oh, man. Thank you so much for that link! I remember playing this all the time when I was younger. Yeah, the best bet was to always start with a job at the fast food place, since you could just eat and work at the same place. Didn't the music use to sound better, though? Or is that just me?

I'll give you the character thing, although I can still enjoy it for the cheese. But the last few missions felt pretty intense, IMO.

Just barely managed to finish the last mission! Man, this was some good fun. And apparently, I didn't even finish every mission. The only thing bothering me is that my computer is too shitty to play it on High quality graphic setting. A lot of the in-game cutscenes felt like they had a lot of work put into them, and it just lost a lot without the good shading and effects and high quality textures and stuff.. I'm loving it so far! I was never any good at the single-player in the first StarCraft, so they've done something right in this one. I've done 15 or 16 missions now, and they don't feel too hard on Normal.

Haha, I don't really care about sucking. I don't suck that badly, it's just my last public game experiences have left me thinking "I don't really suck this bad, do I?", since I get kicked so many times. But I'm hoping it's mostly just a case of the general public being impatient assholes.

I had loads of fun with you guys, until some freak thing caused me to boot out of the game mid-load.. By the time I was back in the game, all the spots were taken. Probably for the best, I suck at Versus.

Speaking of Street Fighter 2, did anyone see the Capcom-authorized flash port? It plays kind of choppy on my computer, but otherwise seems pretty faithful.

I always liked the idea of putting a gun in the players hand, and then making the player go through a whole game (talking to people, solving crime, detective-style, maybe? or anything else) without ever firing a single bullet. But having that gun in your hand, and the fact that if you click the mouse button once, you pull up the gun, and then once more you'll fire, causing endless amount of chaos around you, most likely resulting in death, would make me so nervous through the whole game.

Man, internet people can make me angry. I joined a scavenger game today, and granted I suck at it so far, but playing as the survivors everyone of my team mates were down and trying to save one of them I threw away my canister. Sadly, it was too close to 0 on the timer, so we ended on a time out just before I reached the canister again. This was the first round I'd played on the server, and before the next round started someone yelled "pmc! noob!" and a window popped up. "Kick bigjko?" And everyone voted yes. What the hell? Give a man a chance, for christ's sake! EDIT: Last night's scavenger mode with ysbreker, though, was awesome! One guy on my team had a mic, and acted out a leader-role for us, so everything was relatively smooth for a noob like me. And survival mode is also awesome, and I got to play that with some nice people as well.

Modern Warfare 3: The War Journalist? I would actually play that..
