Sounds like the creators of The Neverhood are working on a mobile version of it. Wonder How it holds up today. There are some updates on their twitter account www.twitter.com/NeverhoodMobile There's no official press release, so this could turn out to be a joke. A very mean joke..

Hmm.. I can't remember. There might've been a zoom function. As far as I recall, there was just a "show-hotspots" button. I'll check. EDIT: Yeah, it shows the hotspots if you want to, but no zoom. Anyways, Neverhood had some huge hotspots, right? Big buttons and not a lot of them per screen. And it zoomed in to a larger picture everytime you had to do something a bit more complicated (sliding puzzles.. ugh)

Turns out Doug retweeted it! This might actually be true. https://twitter.com/#!/TenNapel - It's down at around June 17

Why wouldn't it work? Broken Sword worked fine on an iPhone screen, I thought.. But yes, this does all sound a bit fishy. They are following Doug, though. But not vice versa.

Here They've updated the entire Wii System, including disc reading being faster as well as channel switching. But the most important update was the Shop Channel, which now includes features that should've been there in the first place, like the most popular downloads and Search functions.

Well, that's what the Nintendo DS sounded like when it was first announced. Weird idea. Only tech demos, at the time.
-
I don't know what to think. Not enough info. Can it only support one tablet controller? 3rd party support sounds strong, I guess? Wasn't actually expecting the huge tablet controller. Was hoping for something smaller, I guess. Still, might feel ok to hold. Can't wait to hear some first impressions from the floor. That Zelda thing they showed briefly looked good. As did the bird tech demo, reminded me of Sony's demos back when Playstation 2 was announced. Can't wait to hear more. Oh, and I'm not a big fan of the name. But of course they wouldn't have dropped the popular Wii name already.

That's.. kinda creepy.

Even though I was secretly hoping they'd go for NESCafé (I mean, c'mon!) the latest rumours seem to indicate it might be called, simply.. Nintendo. That would be great and simple, but hasn't that rumour surfaced everytime they announced a new console? Also, they might possibly have done away with the ridiculous friend codes. Finally. We won't have to wait much longer to know. To watch the live stream on Tuesday go to e3.nintendo.com.

God, this thread is amazing! Everyone having a seizure about the Wii name. And me arguing bull-shit, and revealing that I didn't know what googol was..

Yeah, if there's going to be decent third-party support on the Striim, the developers also need to stop making half-assed shit for Nintendo. Nintendo needs to straighten out their support for third-party's of course, but if they do then Rockstar and Capcom etc. better bring out their big guns. Otherwise, they can't expect anything to sell. On the bright side, this might possibly happen. It's rumoured that Nintendo might not release their first-party stuff on launch, to give third-parties a chance to be exclusive on launch. Sounds a bit far-fetched (and again, those third-party titles better be friggin' good if this happens) but hey, it could happen..

Fun Fact: EDIT: Even the corrupted cores had insane amounts of dialogue:

I missed a lot of things, I think.. I can't remember any of Ratman's little holes, except the big one with his mural of Chell (the one from the comic) so I'm pretty sure I missed The National's Portal song. :-/ I'm definately going through this thing again. So many awesome sections I wanna replay. Sadly, there's no "Select a Chapter.." option in the Main Menu.

I added you kushet. I'm up for some co-op later! Man, Valve have really outdone themselves. Both in the co-op and singleplayer..

Yep, I think that means Nine people are playing Portal 2, right.. now.. (!!) This was posted on the Portal 2 Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150228527438689&set=a.10150228527433689.346684.93235358688

I think I found something hidden in the vines to the left, as well. It just appeared as the potatoes started counting down. I think it has something to do with the Borealis.. I've highlighted it in red, because it's well hidden, obviously.

I laughed when someone on the RPS comments suggested Valve might punish us for being so gullible as to surrender all our CPU's to a homicidal A.I. super-computer in the first place!
-
Heh, yeah. I guess you're right about the first one. But for me he made sense. The other two, after throwing so many rythmic and pattern challenges at me, and then giving me un-rythmic, reflex-only end bosses, just felt kind of cruel..

I'm late to the Bit Trip Beat train, but is it just me or are the boss fights excluding the first one, really, really boring?! Or am I getting Breakout and Pong bosses because I'm playing on Easy? It just seems completely out of context from the rest of the level. Worst thing is, I couldn't even beat the Pong guy.. :/

I think it's fair enough, they have to make some money in the long run as well. Besides, they make it clear you'll be able to play it and have fun with the starting deck and that you'll get a random pick of cards. Besides, they hope to be able to implement game modes where you can win cards off players, if it doesn't get labelled as gambling. Anyways, looking forward to this!

So, introversion + new game + procedural content = Sure, procedular content isn't the almighty solution to development problems. It's tremendously cost-effective, but might not produced as elegant world as artist might. But given that in most cases, in my humble opinion, games don't always feature the most compelling and/or beautiful game world even with artists working their ass off trying to so something worthwhile, I'm loving the concept of procedural content. And you have to admit, those very early development shots of Subversion look pretty awesome. The possiblity of this within GTA, for example. You'd start the game creating a city for yourself, ala Animal Crossing, and then you'd get a slightly different experience than anyone else in the world. Silly example, maybe.

Anyone who knows anything about the development history of Duke Nukem Forever won't care, 'cause they're finally playing whatever's left of that game. And those who don't know about the history won't care, they're just getting a Duke Nukem game..

Bejonze - #110 - EU I've added Rodi, PirateBoo, Cigol, Sleepdance, toblix and Turanos! Couldn't find Karimi's character..

I really enjoyed the movie. I haven't read the comics, so I have no frame of reference but it seemed like they were very faithful to the source material. So much so that it has some very distinct film-making tricks, and the editing is lightning fast. Not in a confusing way, even, if you let yourself be taken in by the hyper-ness of everything. I can agree that there's not a huge emotional core to it, but I got feelings from it in a different way than with successfully dramatic films. In a more immature and simple way. Anyway, definately worth seeing.
