I almost read that entire thread title without realizing this was spam.

Yeah, this is first time I've managed Lords, so I'm no authority on the managerial quality on display here. But I'm having loads of fun with it, even when I suck at it. I think it has to do with the fact that it's pretty clear what you're doing wrong, when your team is losing. Or it's pretty clear what the other team is doing right.
-
Have you player online yet? I suck so hard, I feel like I'm actually ruining the game for my team mates. I feel they'd be better off with a shitty bot.

I don't know if there's balancing issues, but I've seen lots of people use the healer class. He really does a difference if used right. As far as Solar currency, I think he gets them for each time he heals someone, so there's that. Don't know about points, obviously he doesn't get any actual kills. My biggest pain, at the moment, is that my shitty internet connection keeps booting me out of my games. Which registers as me "quitting a match in progress" Resulting in me getting no win XP, when I actually finish and win a match.. :( But yeah, art style and just the silly, 80's atmosphere is great. Theme song turns into a cheesy hip hop song, when you select Froggy G. Love it!

Hey, I was wondering if anyone's playing Strategery on iPhone. At some point they added asynchronous multiplayer, and I wanted to see if any thumbs are as excited as I am to play it. Also, any other recommendations for mobile asynchronous strategy games are welcome in the thread!

My Strategery games with Wrestlevania and AteBit have confirmed that 2-player land grab make for very one-sided games. I'm in the middle of a "full map at start" game with AteBit, and here's hoping it's a bit more interesting. Also, new game coming soon: Rad Soldiers from the guys behind Brink. It's basically X-Com with Friends. Looks nice.

I just started this game for the first time. Playing it on a 360. I'm only half-way through the first mission, but so far I like what I see. It's pretty, that's for sure. The cover mechanic is satisfying (hopping from cover to cover especially). Choosing my first augmentation to upgrade was great. Felt like when I first played Deus Ex 1. Still haven't gotten quite used to controlling a first person shooter with a 360 controller. But at least I'm being stealthy, so aiming isn't too important right now. I get quite stressed playing a sneaky man, so I guess the game is immersive! EDIT: Some of the human purists just called the police "the po-po".. Really?

Insta-Buy! Put this "non-combat game about exploration" up for preorder and I'll throw my money at you guys (and gal).

Yeah, my name is the same as here, as well. And I kind of agree, it seems at a glance pretty shallow. Maybe it'll change. I think, if you start a larger map maybe there's more strategy involved.

For me it was almost unplayable. There was a delay between a projectile hitting zombies to zombies actually getting hit and losing hit points. Leah was rubber banding all over the place, lagging behind slow-mo, then suddenly speeding up to be way ahead of me. Sometimes I'd get into a fight and it just stopped. I could hear a couple of zombie grunts, hit sounds and then when it decided to run it again at normal speed I was dead. All this while playing by myself..

I just don't see how any amount of lag is acceptable in a single-player game. But I guess this'll all be a bit better for me when they get EU servers up for the full release. Still, it's annoying having your game interrupted by a sudden drop in WiFi connectivity. I'd tolerate it if I were playing it with friends, but not in single-player..
-
I'm worried about the fact that the single-player was barely playable for me, due to lag.

The new HBO series GIRLS just started. First episode is pretty darn promising. The lead actress, Lena Dunham, also writes and directs the series. All of the leads are pretty strong. Looking forward to seeing more.

IDLE THUMBS - CONTROVERSIAL!

Wow, really? I'm halfway through my NG+ and I'm still finding huge, new areas. Even one with a warp gate. And I guess I don't consider the game completed until I solve the Myst-like puzzles.

Right. Was thinking more of, stuff he does at all without his creative partners, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost.

I'm hoping Pegg improves his solo act with this one: GAe5c1t8iuc

Yes. I'm on my second playthrough and I feel like a genius. Then I got stuck again and frustrated. Still, I love this game. This is the first time in years I've written stuff down in a notebook for a video game.

Man, the game is miles from being out and people keep producing awesome things for his little fictional computer. (Pac-Man)

Are you sure you've discovered all the places on the map, the ones that are empty are the ones you haven't found the door to. Should lead you to new areas to explore. At least, it did so for me. I had hit a bit of a wall at one point, but ended up finding a whole new branch of levels to play with, just by searching for some new doors to open.
-
I'm not sure, but I don't think you have to do the deciphering. The Leaderboards say I'm 80% done with the game and I still haven't done any code crackin'. I think all that secret stuff is to get all the anti-cubes. I could be completely wrong about this, though.
