  1. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

Has anyone else had some issues every once in a while where stuff like coins, dollar bills and especially hearts somehow pop through the geometry and are lost forever? FOREVER!
  2. Oculus rift

Oh, man you can look down and see your Heavy's body?? SOLD! The future is now!
  3. Was the intro music a mix of the various different versions of the past or was I imagining things? Also, iPhone's podcast app has been updated to something slightly more usable (no skeumorphism). Although I already kinda miss the big ol' useless tape player..
  4. Nintendo 3DS

I'm already pretty god damn happy with my 3DS purchase, having only played two games so far. My brain is exploding from the thought of all these amazing games that are on their way. Thanks for persuading me, Thumbs!
  5. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

    I love that it's 2007. The future.
  6. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

    Sweet!
  7. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

The wave starts over. WHAAAAAAAT?! That would've made it infinitely more enjoyable had I figured that out..
  8. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

I don't know. It wasn't the first boss, for one. I wish it had been a puzzle, but besides that it also just felt more like an endurance test. It's not hard, it's just how willing are you to go through that again and again until you're fast enough to make it through all those god damn ghost waves. There wasn't anything to figure out. No weak spot to look for. Also it didn't help that when I died the first time I had to redo the big clock section again (but that's a general problem with the game). I can live with the actual boss ghost guy being the same one every time, but only if his surrounding gimmick is fun (like the first one). It just felt out of place (more action less puzzle) and boring for a game that is otherwise so clever. And it felt like a very high difficulty spike, action-wise, compared to the rest of the mansion. It wasn't that it was bad, I was just completely exhausted after playing it and not in a fun way. Now I'm just sad that this isn't the worst boss of the game, apparently. At least the mansions are fun as hell, still. The puzzles ramp up in difficulty nicely, I think.
  9. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

Oh, god.. the clock guy isn't the worst boss? I'm afraid of continuing this game now.. The first boss was such a magnificent thing. Would love to know what the bosses were like before Myomoto turned the tables.
  10. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

The clock boss? God, it was dreadful. After finishing it I put down the game, haven't returned to it again yet.

  12. LucasArts is no more

I remember back when the Charlie's Angels sequel was being advertised I got really confused.. "Is there a Full Throttle movie coming out?!"
  13. LucasArts is no more

Jesus, naked Mario dude. You need to play both the original Monkey Island and Grim Fandango. None of which are repetitive. Only awesome. Also, just play all the games. Day of the Tentacle. Sam & Max Hit The Road. The Dig. So many absolute classics. LucasArts being gone is sad and people losing their jobs is sad. But really.. I had completely written them off ages ago and only had slim hopes for more of those Special Edition adventure remakes. Star Wars games had gone sour for a long time. It probably had a lot to do with awful management, beause I'm sure there were loads of talented persons working there. Anyway, here's hoping this only means there a slightly higher probability that old adventure licenses get into the right hands, somehow..
  14. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

Yep, the game is now ten times better due to being able to make Luigi say "Yoohooo?" all the time.
  15. DuckTales Remastered?! WOOHOO!

This makes me... unhappy. Modern Video Games!
  16. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

Holy cow, what? This will immediately increase my liking of this game tenfold, I imagine.
  17. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

The original did not suck at all! It was delightful and full of the same charm (i.e. Luigi whistling through the songs). It didn't have the level structure, just one long romp through one mansion, which to me feels superior. You really missed out.
  18. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

What? The two reviews I read said it was near perfect.. (Eurogamer and PocketGamer) Anyway, it changes gears, switches things up often enough so it doesn't feel like a chore. Even stuff that is literally a chore (clean up all 'em cobwebs) ends up being more fun than it sounds like. At least up to where I am now, the second mansion. I do wish E. Gadds would not talk this much, though..
  19. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

Yes. I'm only about to finish the first mansion, but this is a wonderful game. More thoughts later, I'm going to play more now..
  20. Nintendo 3DS

Oh, hang on. I think something similar came with my European 3DS XL.
  21. Nintendo 3DS

Is that Layton offer US only?
  22. Nintendo 3DS

Yep. Played the first four or five levels. So far, it is amazing. So much charm.
  23. BioShock Infinite

Ken later explained that she changes costume throughout the the game.
  24. BioShock Infinite

There's a twist in the end? Unexpected!
  25. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

Yeah, Last Crusade was hard and more Sierra-ish. I think there were also a lot of random puzzle stuff like the location of the Knight's Templar tomb was randomized and you had to go through some books in the library to figure out where it was.
