  1. The names in this game..
  2. I think it makes sense for them. They've got Nintendo Direct now, which is popular and cheap. Now they don't need to get on stage and be awkward and get laughed at. They can do that in the comfort of their office now! The internet happened. Still leaves the problem of getting preview games in the hands of press, though. Ah, behind-closed-door events for getting games in the hands of press! EDIT: Also, this episode is already the best (I'm at the Petman bit.)
  3. Murdoc will post a link to it when he's created a game.
  4. Oculus rift

Be honest, you barfed all over yourself a little bit.. Wait, why do you have one? Are you some sort of a rich person?!
  5. Fan Edits

Topher Grace did a similar thing, editing the entire prequel trilogy into one film. Apparently it was ok. http://www.slashfilm.com/topher-grace-edited-star-wars-prequels-85minute-movie/
  6. So, Murdoc.. When's this happening? I'm anxious to be a dick to Thumbs.
  7. Nick was hired by Telltale Games and I think they officially announced his return in the second episode he was in (not Dishonoured Return of Nick, the first time he returned.)
  8. Yeah, Neptune's Pride 2 is really good at making me feel completely inferior to everyone else. In the world..
  9. What do you mean funds? How much money you have is displayed up at the top. How much Economy/Industry/Science you have is displayed in each player's info box (double-click the player portrait)
  10. Neptune's Pride

Did you create a fleet from a planet? Then it's as simple as pressing Edit Waypoints in that fleet's menu and plotting its path.
  11. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

Next thing you know there's a Nissan Leaf parked in the Gones' driveway.
  12. Yeah, the diplomacy in this is message system only. So there's no system around it or any announcements (of course, you can just do that yourself).
  13. Link 2 The Past: 2 Past 2 Furious

I just.. I don't need more videos, screens. I'm sold. Just finish and release the game, Nintendo, and my money is yours. It looks as good and faithful as a 3D version of LttP can, i think. And the gameplay seems to be completely faithful (and deeper, ho ho!) Give it!
  14. I laughed too hard when Chris said "It blew me away" after repeatedly saying "Goldblume". Only a couple of minutes later did I realise the Thumbs were just laughing at him being like IGN. I am now playing Neptune's Pride 2 and only one cycle into the game I'm already pretty terrified of failure. This is pure stress, now available on iPhone/iPad..
  15. Nintendo 3DS

Yeah, new Link to the Past looks genuinely awesome. And they got really close to the original style, closer than I thought they could in 3D. Yoshi's Island is the exact opposite! I really hope they're far from finished so that the final product looks just slightly closer to the original. So far it just looks like the original devoid of any of its charms and soul.
  16. Castle of Illusion HD

Oh man, that was awful. The animation, especially, was just terrible. This can only end up being shit, I guarantee it. I will eat my virtual hat if this turns out good.
  17. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

Yeah, I don't think John Lithgow is attached. But man, that would be awesome.
  18. Yes! I wish I had had enough money back then, I would've loved to get this vinyl.
  19. Yes, absolutely! That would be such a wonderful thing, considering how a lot of mainstream gaming news sites are essentially curated towards straight males.
  20. Yes, Ninja Fishing is the clone of Ridiculous Fishing. Or more accurately it's a clone of Vlambeer's original Flash prototype, Radical Fishing. Ninja Fishing was created and put out on iOS before Vlambeer could put Ridiculous Fishing out and stole its thunder, resulting in them burning out on the project and releasing it almost a year later.
  21. Also, the survey link leads you to Wizzard.tv. My mind was blown.
  22. Yes! It's a bloody relief nowadays to just play a game that doesn't constantly ask you to pay money to "GET ENERGYEZ! or GOULD!"
  23. Huh, was Bioshock 2 mentioned? I must've blacked out during. This was a most excellent podblast. Very educational! Most of the hype around Ridiculous Fishing on its release was possibly much to do with the news of it back when someone cloned their Flash prototype of it and released it on iOS before they could. Ninja Fishing I think it was called. That, coupled with a weird and hilarious stealth ad campaign just before release built around this fictional, upcoming social platform whose CEO accidentally sent several private e-mails to every subscriber. This turned out to be Byrdr, the in-game social network. I burned out quickly on the game, but I've heard there's an actual ending to it which sort of compels me to try and finish it at some point. I had assumed it was just this never-ending arcade thing. So it's nice to hear there's an endgame.
  24. BioShock Infinite

This blog post says it pretty well, I think.
