Yes, the North American Man-Boy Love Association sure pops into your mind when you hear the word Namco...
-
If they release the second one here, I'll be pleased. Otherwise, Namco can go fuck themselves.

Also from Anchorman: "I would like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party." Best pickup line, ever. What do you say, do I get a copy for that?

Coming in late, but I thought Metroid Prime's save system was pretty stellar. It provided save points almost everytime you needed one, granted you just took your time and explored as much as possible.

I distinctly remember the cars not disappearing until after a set amount of time off-screen, and that time was ample. Whereas in the 3D incarnations the cars disappear almost instantaneously after going off-screen (or into the fog, another thing I really hate about the 3D versions) Why I remember this is because I remember I used to make a lot of big piles of cars, only to blow them up and see a very big explosion. I had to walk a bit to get more cars, and the other cars didn't disappear in the process, although if I remember correctly, if you walked far enough and took your time, they did indeed disappear. Useless post of the Year.

Could've damaged the power supply unit? That's some bad shit.

Call of Cthulhu is scheduled for early 2005.

I laughed out loud at that one.

Nintendo DS multiplayer wireless puppet theater conspiracy theory madness
BigJKO replied to Jake's topic in Video Gaming
Just to be clear it's not Nintendo that's laying these hints, it's N-Sider.com. They, along with other video game media, know what this big announcement's gonna be, and they're just putting down these hints so to create discussion. -
Can someone explain what this game is about? Or how... it works?

I just dropped my cell phone! God damnit! I'm leaving this wretched forum, for good!

I do believe he was talking about the first two Duke Nukem games, who were in fact side-scrollers.

I really don't see the point in putting roads in the air... I can see the point in having to go over railroads, but that was easily done with a small bridge in TT. But putting roads in the air for the sake of it is just silly. That said, the track-laying thing had me baffled. Drag-n-Drop worked so well. And I couldn't even get a Lorry Station built. Little too much like Rollercoaster Tycoon to me. I personally didn't find anything wrong with the graphics, but like Marek had mentioned it's all just too... grainy. The buildings do look very nice. I just wish it had kept the clean style of TT and RCT. I'm gonna give it another whirl later on, but first impression was lackluster.

When did surgery become so popular?

Late September is the best guess right now. They seem pretty much finished this time.

Well, third-party developers seem very eager to create something unique for the DS' unique abilities. Atlus' surgey action game seems wildly unique, for example. And kind of fun, too.

The Sega-McDonald's deal was announced almost a year ago. I though that was over already.

Locomotion wins the interface competition, though. (Although it's basically just the same as the RCT interface) That Railroad Tycoon 2 interface is ugly, big, and IN THE WAY!
-
By god! You're right! I couldn't see it in those other screens, but dear lord, that screenshot is just about the most annoying screenshot ever, due to ugly noise. Send Chris Sawyer an e-mail, Marek.
-
I agree the coastline needs a little bit of a makeup, but I don't really see your point with the random noise thing. There's just as much of a grainy feel to Transport Tycoon as there is to Locomotion. At least, that I can see. You're just being insanely picky.

Your ramblings about blogs has left its mark in the Google ads... And yes, Super Smash Bros. Melee rocks. And Viewtiful Joe must be in my hands! Soon!

StarFox Adventures had real-time fur, I think. With the nifty pixel-shader technology I think it's easier for games to do this now. Or was it some other feature of DX9.. I don't remember. Anyway, it hasn't been done a lot, but is definately possible.
