  1. Engine licencing a good deal for ... ?

Left 4 Dead is also being built on the Source engine. Co-op zombie game. Yummie.
  2. Engine licencing a good deal for ... ?

About mods: The only good mods to come out started out with a very minimal amount of original assets and focused instead on the gameplay. They call it a beta (or alpha) and let people play it. Gradually, it then gets some more original assets. So, people don't have to wait. Gameplay gets balanced. Assets eventually get created. That's basically how Counter-Strike was created, if I remember correctly. I may be completely incorrect, though. But it still sounds like a good plan.
  3. Well, in all fairness at least a big portion of those FPSs are actually above mediocre. Back when FPSs still were 2D they released games like Redneck Rampage.
  4. And then there're developers who claim that single-player is the gaming equivalent of masturbation, making multiplayer games superior. Like sex. I hate this sudden surge of MMOs as well. It seems like it came with the whole growing social aspect of the internet. Which isn't a bad thing, in itself. It just seems like these gamers are more keen on living some sort of virtual life than living their own. And that scares me. That, and the fact that 90% of MMOs are crap. So, I agree!
  5. And subscription fees. Extra meh.
  6. Super Paper Mario

I think it's more the the middle ground between a puzzle-game's pace and a standard Mario platformer. Doesn't look too action-y to me.
  7. Super Paper Mario

Yeah... because that's just the easiest thing in the world.
  8. Super Paper Mario

Man, why couldn't the release it on the GameCube as well, like they did with Twilight Princess? Not owning a Wii is really starting to get on my nerves.
  9. Wii not taking games Seriously

Is Mega Man Powered Up the PSP remake of the first Mega Man? 'Cause that looked awesome..
  10. Housewife Superstar

    How awesome is that?
  11. Reh Dogg

Haha, love it when people try to sing both the main and background voices.
  12. Housewife Superstar

I think that in taking all these stereo-typical 60's housewife things not too seriously, they sort of redeem themselves from any feminist wrath.
  13. Is Odama worth US$38?

There's a chance Nintendo will re-release Odama with reworked Wii controls insted of microphone controls. It supposedly works better and is more fun. So maybe it'd be worth passing on that 50 big ones.
  14. Back when apocaphilia was news?
  15. Oracle of Ages [crap pun deleted]

Jabu Jabu's belly returns in Ages? Man, I'm never playing that game.
  16. Does the Wii nead *real games* ?

Look, I just played TP on the GameCube. I don't know how I'd fare with the Wii version, but aiming is a huge fucking problem sometimes. It's just too slow.
  17. Heroes in a half shell

I'm hoping the new TMNT on the GBA will mimic Turtles in Time somewhat. That screenshot that got leaked looked amazing.
  18. I was really shocked when I read this on Wired News. I mean, what the hell do they expect from a substitute teacher who goes on the internet in a school that apparently hasn't installed pop-up blockers on their computer? Shit like this happens, and should be dealt with in subtle manner. I thought we were living in the "future" where people know how idiotic the internet can be and realize that children can be exposed to porn on the internet, even if no-one intends to do so. Reminds me how concerned I was when one of the kids at the pre-school I work at said to me "I hope you're fired tomorrow!" and I thought how easy it really would be for him to just tell his parents some lie about me and Poof! I'm gone.
  19. It worked. You are. Although, probably more because you volunteered for the Ocarina bet.
  20. Yes, thank you! The Zoras are so motherfucking irritating. Sure, the Gorons can't handle their own problems either, but at least you don't have to chaperone them through the dungeons. They stay out of the way, unlike the god-damn Zoras. The Water Temple and Jabu Jabu's Belly were pretty much my least favorite dungeons.
  21. Buying a new Mac/PC, advice?

You asked if the regular MacBook's break easily. I have to say, and this is coming from a man who's dropped his two times and once stepped on it, it doesn't. I mean, sure you can just about barely see that the cover has moved a little bit from the drop and it isn't as easy to pop DVDs in the cd drive (still easy, though), but it still works like a charm. And before you start rampaging about my clumsiness with hardware, both instances happened because I walked into an ethernet cable, lying around the living-room, that was connected to the computer. So, kids, use wireless. Except for the power cord, of course, which just pops out in case of tripping (genius invention, BTW.)
  22. I Bought an Xbox 360 Today!

Oh, and there's probably going to be some revisions that might be worth waiting for. Less noise from the console, stuff like that.
  23. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I've got a small 4:3 TV, so widescreen is out anyway. How superior are the controls? The GC controls are just as fine as Wind Waker's, right?
  24. I Bought an Xbox 360 Today!

Not a mistake. You should perhaps wait until there's something exciting besides Live Arcade..
