Just bought myself a 20" iMac, and MAN IS IT BEAUTIFUL. Oh, how I love being superficial.
-
I must be missing something, because the way I remember it you unleashed Smash moves with a direction and A button pressed simultaneously. Which would work easily with the Wiimote on the side..

RE: Safari 3, I've always used Firefox, and lately it's just been crap on my Mac. So I installed Safari and it's loads better. It's got pretty much everything that I used in Firefox. And it's faster. Never could stand using Safari before, but this new version feels much better.

Except that everyone who's played Smash Bros. Melee knows that one of those four control methods is perfect.

Damn straight!

That's totally awesome (and kinda creepy how easily one can be stalked.. I didn't even know which clinic she was at), hope you get her as a vet. She's pretty good, as far as I know.
-
Her name is Freyja, and she's a veterinarian (wow, took me a year to spell this word.) DanJW, no.

You can't play GameCube games with the Classic Controller. The reason simply being that when the Wii plays GC games it becomes a GC, disabling all manner of Wii-functionality, ensuring maximum compatibility.

Cool. I might actually be able to pop by, because my sister lives in Brighton and I had plans to visit her sometime soon.

Heroes finale was almost disappointing, but somehow worked for me. LOST finale was brilliant. Little Miss Sunshine was an awesome, heartwarming, hilarious film. 300 was better than Sin City, IMO. That said though, I thought Sin City was boring. Pan's Labyrinth was fantastic.

I said what a 3D engine can do for StarCraft, not what a 3D engine has done for RTS games. You... YOU'RE LAST GEN!!
-
SiN, I think you're underestimating how much of a difference a 3D engine can do for StarCraft. I mean, maybe nothing we haven't seen in other RTSs but maybe something miles above what the original StarCraft team could even dream of doing. Does that mean it's innovative? Maybe not (again, we don't really know what they're doing behind the scenes) but Blizzard have always been a "perfect a formula" and not a "invent the formula" kind of developer. I'm just excited because Blizzard always make simultaneous PC/Mac releases. First game I'll have played on my Mac in ages!

In case anyone here is interested, I've recently finished my current project. Two very, very short animations. http://www.jonkk.dk/film/anim/aheadOfTheGame.mov http://www.jonkk.dk/film/anim/aBlueDay.mov The music is composed by my awesome friend from Iceland. And played by him and others. Hope you enjoy!

Awesome you saw that! It was 100% a little homage to the car driving in the opening of DOTT.
-
Thanks for the awesome feedback! I like the Blue monster and would love to make more animations with it. Who knows what'll happen?

1) Yes! 2) Let me know if you find one.. And thanks a lot for that link, Marek! Have been frantically looking for a competent HTML editor.

Mario and Sonic team up for the first time in Video Game History?
BigJKO posted a topic in Video Gaming
Not in Super Smash Bros., but in some game affiliated with the next Olympic Games in Beijing. It kind of feels awesome that they finally made a game with both Mario and Sonic. Considering the official site is hosted at Sega's site, I'm guessing it's a Sega developed game. Nintendo surely has a say in it, though. -
I just bought Wind Waker again (sold my copy some time ago, without ever finishing it; triforce hunt...) and I've got some days off from work before Easter, so I'm pretty fucking excited for gaming right now. Impulsive, huh..

I'm pretty excited about FF:Crystal Chronicles 2 (can't remember the actual name.. Tale of Two Crystals or some such.) Saw a video somewhere from the intro, which was real-time rendered and had voice acting. I thought to myself, that's a whole lot of voices to fit on one little DS card. Even if it's just the intro that has voice acting. Oh, and MySims definately looks more interesting now than it did before.

You work at Sega? Best of luck with the project! -
Probably because it's really not that important to consumers. You buy a PS3 because you want to play PS3 games. That it can't play a Final Fantasy game from PS2 right out of the box isn't going to stop a lot of consumers.
-
Voted five because I'm super excited about everything that's happening right now in gaming, but don't have the time or money to actually play any of it. I would be playing Sam & Max, though, but the only computer in the house is my girlfriend's MacBook (and I wouldn't dare try BootCamp on it.)

Nintendo don't need a HDD extension. Flash memory is getting cheaper and cheaper. Just store Saturn games through the SD slot.
-
Yeah, I feel the same way as Rodi. I never really experienced Katamari when it was fresh because I didn't own a PS2. It does seem like the Wii version will be different from the rest, seeing as it's beign released later than the others. Just the controls, maybe?
