It seems like the design idea behind Gameboy DS, is actually a revision of a portable game design from 1982... Interesting eh.. --- Anyone remember these Game & Watch..? Today they are highly collectible items...... And if you ask me the gameplay are still totally fun - and the design is great in an oldschool 80's kind of way....

argh - you're so right... I'm an idiot

Actually I just got one, it isn't a dual-screen. but its great... got at a garage-sale for 10$... I'm sure you can get a game & watch zelda also... try ebay.... hey you need to remake the actions from your childhood that makes you sad - that's bloody therapy...!

Problem with voice synth'ing is that while it isn't difficult today to make it pronounce the words right, it will lack any kind of personality and thereby effectively ruin any atmosphere a game tries to build, what so ever. Except of course if it is the whole point that everybody sounds like a bloody computer. But in fable, I don't think that is the case....

That's like a founding document. You might say that the independence declaration of america is the manifesto of USA. That's where your state your goals, ideals etc. example: "The Turkomenian Revolutionary Cadré: We hereby swear to bring freedom to smoke whatever we want, wherever we want, in our proud home country of Turkestan. The workers need to smoke. We are the workers. We will follow this goal by any means necessary, especially kalashnikovs." stuff like that....

hmmm, what impresses me is that almost any game title can be suggestive of the male thingie... The other thread refered to earlier in this thread, actually had as the starting point: the game title that described your sex-life best... Why does things like this always transform to metaphors for the male-make-more-of-your-own-kind-thingie....? Anyways, why do we already have a club - I mean where's our manifesto? You always have to start with a manifesto... either that or it has no point... : What is our goals? .. how do we start some revolution or other.... etc etc... come on...

There was something like duke nukem XXX, ... hmmm like that... I never tried it - saw it on some abandonware-site couple of years ago.... hmm - who cares

thanks - it's always nice to be missed.. Yea - I'm back... I were in Jordan for a month digging old stuff from the ground... good time etc... and now I'm crippling to get my life back on track - no big deal... just coming to terms with the weather - trying to overcome the fact that I really need to clean my room etc... primary existential stuff....

Hey - we don't know shit about brains....... I mean all the science mumbo jumbo with synapses and stuff - might be reasonable words to describe simple metaphoric ideas about the brain... But when trying to explain how the brain works with everything, we really stumble.....

When did I sign up? Hmm good question... I think it was maybe 2 months ago... Nobody wants that gmail invite....??? I mean it's free and filled with happiness...

I got 6 invites... Within the first two weeks or so. Maybe it was because I'm from denmark and therefore a minority in that region - or maybe because I sent in a lot of suggestions right in the start. Anyways I haven't recieved anyone since. And I have one to spare if anybody wants one... I'm currently in Jordan on a Dig / excavation - so I will not see any replies soon. But pm me or something and I will mail you the invite... Wella i'm out - it's freaking hot in here.....

But I'm kind of drunk - and going to Jordan for a month of excavation of the oldest known mosque.... So I will not.... History is a blind giant - and he's kind of running...... on a crazy superfast hoverbike... - right , that means he is riding.... wella...

Well, you can. But it's piracy of course.... bittorrent is a kind of peer-to-peer network..... There must be some kind of anti-piracy protection in the x-box, but I expect someone has worked around it somehow...... they always do....

Hunter ... -for the amiga - great game - fantastic graphic - a whole world - different for every new game.. wuhuuuu anyone remember this...? my only sorrow is that you really need to save the game, because it is so big - which is quite difficult on an emulator... two years ago, anyway...

I know I'm being an arse now - but just for the nittpicking of it. If you are saying art and craft are different, then they can't be synonymous. As of being the same meaning and all..... On dictionary.com I think what they mean is more in the sense of "the art of kicking butt = the craft of kicking butt"....
-
What's the difference then - between craftmanship, and art.....

Fahrenheit 9/11 would have been awesomer if only—

I agree ... everything is biased..... it is cool that michael moore makes into mass media with a cause that stands in opposition to very much of the mass media today.... makes a more complete picture when you take it all together... -

In my opinion, all documentaries are propaganda to some extend. Of course a documentary about mollusc apes can hardly be said to be propagandic in nature - except maybe the casual *humans destroy nature* - stuff. But all documentaries that run an argument - or try to unveil how things really are etc, are quite propagandic in nature. It all comes down to what you show - and pictures give you a feel of reality. Naturally - you show all the stuff that supports the argument or cause, and not necessarily the things which would make the picture complete - the oppositions. This combines to leave the viewer with a feeling that things are the way the real life pictures show in the documentary - which is false, of course. In the end it all comes down to the documentarist's integrity.
