Most people use sex as a replacement for masturbation. Just saying.

Is an urban myth. Ditto for Seaman Staines and Roger the Cabin Boy

I think it would be safest to ride around on a donkey which is wearing rollerskates.

"Technical reasons" means they don't think they'll make enough money to justify the cost of translating into multiple languages; But seriously, how much dialogue do you need to do?!

If EA disappeared tomorrow, I don't think my life would be any different.

<Insert Government Office> announces new plans for <inoperable initiative> to curb Game Violence! Honestly I think journos invent these stories on slow news days. Thumbs Challenge: Invent a story and see how far is spreads! Every day is a slow news day at Idle Thumbs.

He also did Leftfield's Afrika Shox and Bjork's All is full of Love videos; some people will probably remember Madonna's Frozen video too.

Ditto, yeah. You'll generally get the best value by buying one of the previous bunch of cards (particularly the Radeon 9800 Pro's or XT's. XT is usually better). These nicely cover all the DX9 stuff all your favourite games will use, and are pretty nippy too. 128MB models go for ~€200 from good retailers (ie not PC World Waterford). 9600's go for half that; if you're getting one, make sure it's 256MB to make up for the older technology. You can typically get these with TV-Out and all kinds of other nonsense, which is gravy. Sapphire do a 9600XT 256MB with TV-Out for <= €150 Those also come in SE models, which cost less but are rubbish

There are some little tips of the hat to that in the first matrix; Trinity running along the rooftops chased by cops parallels a scene in dark city (including the up-down-up-down slopes of sheet-metal rooves). Also GITS is referred to in one of the late scenes (Neo being chased by agents through various markets etc) where a Watermelon is shot. GITS has the same scene early on in the movie. In those cases it's genuinely respects being paid, but I'd prefer to read this other script before declaring it derivative or whatever.

Fun game: Replace all instances of "play" with "masturbate" in the above translated article.

No, you're awake when they happen, but sleep-deprived. They're associated with the sensory deprivation you get when you're lying in bed trying to sleep. Sometimes they happen when I wake up out of a dream suddenly (the exploding world one happened when a really loud car drove past my window) The barcode thing came out of a rather insane dream, doom 3 was straight up sleep deprivation, and the korean thing was a dream I woke up from too. I've had a number of death dreams too (Shot in the heart by Al Pacino, exploded by a kick in the chest by the cast of Kill Bill, neck broken twice) Those are especially WEIRD. Vive la Caffeine.

My sundry sleep disorders are legion. Sleep paralysis, insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep hallucination, night terrors; yup. I've had them all. The hallucinations are the best, they've included: A Korean caberet dancing troupe complete with semi-automatic handguns. A rotating Doom 3-rendered ceiling. Terrible beasts leaping from the black lines in barcodes. Everything outside the window exploding in a vast sphere of fiery renewal. Oh my, yes.

It's Eddie Izzard of the Eddie Izzard Show fame.
