Until recently I was rocking the 9600 128mb I got a year ago for $50. Played HL2 fine all the way through in 1024x768 with all the details maxed.

How cheap? You unfortunately just missed out on some hot black friday sales (I got a GeForce 6800 for $200). I am sure you could get a Radeon 9800 for around $150, and their are also the new budget cards, going for 150 to 200. Shop around.

Well, I'm not gonna do a 4 gig download until I know what the hell it is.

I heard this game is PAL only. Could I use it in the US? Cause I'd be all over that game.

Just keep an eye on their hands. I had problems reaching the keys in time at first, until I started keeping as many fingers on the keys as possible. After a while, it becomes sort of easy to predict where they are going to go, as well.

The fighting is only ass easy on lil' bitch mode. Bring it up a couple of notches.

I wonder what they will do with it. I'm hoping for better multiplayer, in real levels.

I dunno if Valve has rights to Sheaperd, seeing that OpFor was made by gearbox. And I think he was arrested at the end. I'd like to see Gearbox make an OpFor2 using Source. Would be hot to see Sheaperd mixing it up is City 17, or maybe one of the other cities.

Yeah, Breen was Black Mesa's administrator, although he was never mentioned in the original. What do you want, a list of black mesa employees? Although that wouldn't be all that hard, seeing that there were 3 scientist models, and 1 guard. For those that critisize the game for not giving a clear understanding of what is happening, keep in mind that this is a sequel, and if you are big into story, you should really play the first. Otherwise, just about anyone can jump into the game and have a great time.

I'm not going to use a spoiler tag, because anyone reading this forum should realize that there are spoilers. The upgraded manipulator gun at the end of the game was the greatest thing that has ever happened ever. Tossing the ragdolls around was hella fun, and the cool black electricity effect was way awesome.

Does anyone know the timezone the midnight release refers to? Good lord am I hoping EST.

I really want Gitaroo Man, but I can only find it used for 60 bucks or so. Damn rare games and their impossibility to find.

All of the steam versions give you the ability to back up the file to DVD, so you are safe if steam goes under.

I dislike sierra's adventures with the exception of QFG which is an awesome series.

Anyone play QFG4 1/2? I was just reminescing about that game the other day. So awesome.

I don't dislike it passionately. In fact, I am totally impassionate about the game. I just feel that if it was released originally on the PC, it would have been mediocre, and the XBox versions controls drag it down to being crappy. Since I make a point to not hold the controls against the game, I stick with calling it very mediocre. I did nothing new, nothing innovative, and has nothing that I couldn't find in a dozen better titles. As to Halo 2 not coming out on the PC, well thats just not Microsofts style. I realize it bombed. But I also realize that MS cannot hold on to an exclusive title for the life of them. I'd give it a year at most.

Wow. This is the first gaming forum I think I've ever been to where someone said something negative about the allmighty H and didn't get flamed. On that note, Halo sucks, but I am holding my reservations about Halo 2. I'll check it out when they port it to the PC.

Ok, MGS2 was not a "thinker." It was fucking brain rot. Idiotic and contrived. There was no deep purpose, it was just painfully bad. And Raiden was a pansy. It's sad when the character with the mullet is the cool one. Oh, my bad. MGS2 sucks The plot devours your brain Worst ending ever.
