So you downloaded the game illegally / own a burned copy / do not leagally own this awesome game. Contact Monolith or google for CD keys.

Thats a load of bullshit. There are many genres that can benifit from first degree control. The touchpad acts similarly to a mouse, making all manner of genres that were pc specific work extremely well on the handheld, such as RTS, Point and Click Adventure, and FPS (I know, I know, FPS aren't only on PCs, just best). Plus, adding a "weird" control scheme is sure to attract the attention of creative developers who will for sure put it to use in creative ways.

If you expect someone on this forum to give someone with no previous posts a key to a game because they are to lazy to google it, then you probably have another thing coming.

I thought the game was boring (allbeit funny) until I got the jetpack. Then I thought it was really fucking good. Then it got a little boring again, but all in all I would recomend it. I enjoyed it well enough. Plus you can buy it for like 10 bucks now.

I now own a Dreamcast. Game suggestions please!
JimmyTheFish replied to Jake's topic in Video Gaming
When I first bought my dreamcast, I bought Virtua Tennis with it, mostly because it was damn near free at that point. I expected to play it once or twice then just ignore it. Low and behold, I found it to be the single best sporting title I have ever played. The multiplayer is insanely fun, and I still play it with my friends at any given opportunity. I also still play Sonic Adventures 2 on occaision, but only the Sonic and Shadow levels. The others are total crap. Like it burns when you try to play them. -
I disagree based on its inability to play certain games plus a number of user specific bugs.

Does anyone play Doom or Doom 2 anymore?

Trip Hawkins:EA Founder prediction - Nintendo will be acquired by MS
JimmyTheFish replied to SoccerDude28's topic in Video Gaming
Just beacause Nintendo was prepared for the holliday season and the others were not does not mean they are a bad company. Check the numbers man, Gamecube has been pulling in profits since it was released. XBox just recently started making profit. -
I disagree. People always talk about how superior the XBox version is, but I found it to be the same bloody thing with unplayable controls, lower resolution, and terrible split screen multiplayer. What is the appeal of the XBox version, and what (besides the supposed performance issues) makes it superior?

Red mage destroyed the food? Oh no! Jesus fuck, have you guys heard the back story for this tripe? Giving hack and slash a bit much credit, are we Mr. Romero?
-
Well, I for one won't miss them. If they had ever made a playable game, I probably would though.
-
Yeah, I played the demo... I'm still torn. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the ai was. Each character plays differently, and they all play like pretty good hold 'em players. Not great, but pretty good. Does anyone know if there are multiple difficulty settings in the full version? This would be nice for people learning to play the game.
-
Is it... worth it? I love texas hold 'em, but I have a feeling this is gonna have the depth of Microsoft hearts. Plus, I am weary of Telltales humor, mostly because of the lack of funny in the blog. Why couldn't they have made this $5 or $50 so the choice would be easy?

Thats the point of every thread.

I don't think anyone here is defending EA's business practices. Personally, I am boycotting them, not that it really matters though. All I am saying is Don't judge a game because of the company that put it out. I'm talking in circles here. I am done with this topic.
-
You are talking in circles. You are making assumptions based on no real data. I saw the trailer, and it said nothing. You complain that its not original, then complain that it is not based on the movie? What the hell man. I think the concept of bringing an older movie back to life with a new storyline is fairly creative, but whatever.
-
Thats bullshit, and you know it. Not every game is a work of art, and not every game needs to be. "Production line mentality" works just fine in some cases. Just hold off on your judgement until you know something about the game. Who the hell said this is a GTA clone? Was Mafia a GTA clone? No. Just because you use some of the same gameplay mechanisms does not make it a clone. Besides, I think this is just about the only method of gameplay that would concievably work with the license. What do you expect, a platformer? I'm not defending the game itself, I'm just saying, wait a little before throwing on the hate.
-
Oh, come on guys. I understand you don't like EA, neither do I. But you are blindly insulting a game you know absolutly nothing about. Not everything EA puts out is bad, and I understand not liking it from a moral standpoint, but not liking it because you assume it is going to be bad based on NO evidence is just retarded.

Well, buying a premade pc is pretty much a recipe for headaches.

Anyone here try playing CS:S Bot Zombies yet? It's hella fun with small groups. Here's how its done. 1. Start a server with the maximum player limit for the level. (smaller levels are best) 2. Put as many bots in as possible, but make sure they are all on the same team. Set bot difficulty to the hardest option, and make it so they can only use knives. 3. Join the game. Open the console and set mp_teamautobalance 0, and bot_walk 1. This disables autobalance, and makes it so the zombies walk around aimlessly until they see you, at which time they charge at you. Then simply try to stay alive. Some people play deagle only, but I find the pump shotgun to be very satisfying. Oh, and it is also cool to prefix the bot teams names with "Zombie" or "BRAIINNSS" or something appropriate.
-
I dunno. I perfer it when they charge when they see you. Otherwise it would be way too easy. And office is the best map for this.
-
My only problem with playing them on level 3 is that they have a tendency to shoot before they go around a corner. They react to traps way to quickly. But besides that it is an awesome AI.
-
Thats half the fun. They set traps and do their darndest to sneak up behind you. The Source Bot AI is just about the best Zombie AI I have ever seen.

More Stubbs the Zombie/Rebel Without A Pulse stuff
JimmyTheFish replied to Jake's topic in Video Gaming
I'm not too sold on the setting, dosen't seem right for a zombie game. The concept is boss though, and I hope they pull it off. -
So let me get this straight... you were expecting more control with analog sticks then with keyboard and mouse? What world do you live on?
