So... I called up my local Gamestop and they say the PC version is not shipping till the 26th. Any confirmations of people not able to get thier games?
-
The store is up now, can we please have our topic back now, kind sirs?
-
Yeah, some of them did. The elite guards totally had red eyes.
-
PNC, but like I said, it was a black Friday sale, and I doubt you will be able to find another for that price.
-
Well, that might be an exageration. I got mine for 100 US, but it was chock full of mail in rebates and whatnot. Black Friday sales are the best.
-
Yeah, if you got an XBox and a shitty PC, than the solution is obvious. Otherwise, I would go for the PC version.
-
I may be wrong, but I think the Ti 4400 is a step up from the MX, which is really nothing more than a souped up geforce 2. Either way, that should be fine, if you are willing to turn the settings down a bit.

This game is not as tough on hardware as some would lead you to believe. I have personally seen it played smoothly on a MX400, a card which can be bought easily for 30 bucks or less, and is included with any low end PC purchased today. Bump it up to 60 bucks, and you can get a Radeon 9600 which will make it even purdier. For 100, you can get a Geforce 6800 GT, and run it with options maxed and no slow down.

There is an interesting preview of Electroplankton on IGN, if anyone is interested.
-
Or spend the 30 bucks nessecary to get a low end card that will play this.
-
I would really like to paly an Opposing Force: Source type of game where you play as some combine grunt. Oh, or maybe a Vortigaunt! And I really want to shoot some bullsquids.
-
So why is he going onto forums he has never used before and bragging off his shitty game?
-
Why not just take it to the next level, and have boxes shooting boxes at boxes? In other news, people without any post count should not be able to start new threads.
-
Hmm... I don't really live near any of those cities. I'm not sure if that is a prerequisite.
-
Yeah, but the PS2 version of SC2 sold the worst. The Gamecube version outsold it.
-
The english thing is minor. I just get tired of seeing "HElp me CHEAT need FREE GAME Sykonauts!!! Give me site PLEASE THE THANKS YOU!"
-
We need more active mods to ban annoying assholes who can't speak the language and ask for illegal downloads of independant games.
-
Whoa... a drink flavored like a Burger King sandwich? You European's are fucked up.
-
Yeah, sorry. I was thinking off SS2.
-
I think it would be cool if Beyond Good and Evil was released for free. The game is selling for shit anyway, and it would get alot of people to play it, thus increasing the chances for a sequel. In fact, I feel that most games that don't sell well should be released for free after a time. What differece does it make?
-
There is an XP patch available.
-
I played it for a bit at a convention and was not impressed in the least. It seemed to be nothing more than annoying jump puzzles and shallow, easy combat. The graphics were mediocre at best, with unimpressive animations. I dunno, maybe it gets better with time.
-
And it is in no way similar.

Which is why I love the system. The touchscreen is not any more of a "gimic" then a mouse. While it can have alternate uses in zany games like Warioware and Electroplankton, it is the first non-pc system to alllow first degree of control. Also, I cannot fucking believe that looneyboi is serious here. You are judging a fucking system based on a few launch first party outings and some games you have never played? You call it a gimic, blatanly ignoring the fact that this is a handhold system that, more or less, emulates a mouse. If thats a gimic, then all of PC gaming is played using a gimicy control scheme. You have no arguement here. You are just sitting in your little box, holding your ears and shouting "GIMIC," blocking out what might be the most creative and unique system yet. Fuck them for trying something different. Even if it can be used for conventional game settings.

Just because they use the same species in their games, does not mean it is the same game. Are all the Final Fantasys the same because they all have moogles? Are all Monkey Island's the same because they all have pirates? The storylines are all different, very much so, they just share some vague continuity. Have you ever even played a Zelda game? P.S. The day you see a Zelda game for a console that is not Nintendo, is the day Nintendo stops making consoles. P.P.S. Seriously. What is up with those cats?
