Believe it or not, this is my computer room looking tidy... Click to see at a ridiculous size... There's a piano in the corner to the far left of this picture. Yes, a piano. Not one of those pathetic keyboard things...

I have it for PC, but it doesn't like my analogue gamepad, so Rayman walks if you push it into the diagonal position. This, of course, makes it impossible.

On the contrary, I'd have assumed that the impurities and salt would have raised the amount of energy needed to change the state of urine, so I would have thought that more energy would be required to freeze it. I can't believe we're discussing this...

Have I missed anything?

I have every issue of GamesTM, and can thoroughly recommend it. It makes a real change to find a games magazine with good, adult-orientated writing. And I don't mean crude writing...

Starforce protection on a f#&king demo?!!!
RLacey replied to Intrepid Homoludens's topic in Video Gaming
I thought that the Starforce protection was only applied to the US version. I guess I was wrong. Hmm... You are aware that we're not banned from talking about adventure games, just because this isn't Adventure Gamers, aren't you ? -
I remember watching that movie about 20 times. In a row. I couldn't believe that they had announced a sequel.

How I Nearly Died, and somewhere, a cow roams free along the highways...

You want us to find it funny? Ah, OK... -

Oh well. At least you're OK. -
Hmm. Reverse that order, and I concur...

Hmm. I've now downloaded 3 corrupt copies from FilePlanet. How unlucky can I get?

There's something about writing this in pink...

Command & Conquer 3 screens (warning: deceptive title)
RLacey replied to Marek's topic in Video Gaming
I'm surprised that EA cancelled this. Let's think about it. It's a Command & Conquer game. [tick] It's a sequel. [tick] It's in 3D. [tick] It's going to be bought regardless of quality. [tick] This post was brought to you by the EA games commissioning division. -
And there goes all the female visitors to Thumb...

Hmm. So, either we all have dodgy copies or Yufster was fibbing. Which could it possibly be?

Anyone wanna send me one?

The weird thing is that I *do* have the game, and yet I've never seen this intro...

You can't get enough of -->

Only windows and OpenGL ports. Worth getting if you're using XP, though. A truly great game.

They were translated into English fairly recently. I've had them in French for a few years.

Ah, Outlaws...well worth getting, and, as people here have said, it has lovely music. I got my copy for 99p second hand, and that was a complete bargain. And, as the music is CD audio, you can listen to it anywhere!

I *assume* it's part of LucasArts' policy. Every time a UK magazine has a Star Wars themed cover, they have print a copyright notice. Maybe it's only for exclusive artwork or something.

I'd still take the potential ability to play the game without using Steam any day. What if/when Steam goes down? I'm afraid I disagree here as well. It's far, FAR harder to back up the latest version of software when patches aren't easily downloadable. I like auto-update systems, but there are other, better examples. Even the original's check-for-update system had much this effect - it let you know that it needed updating, and provided a list of mirrors for the file. This way, though, you can make a backup of the patch, and so don't need a DVD writer to make a backup of your Steam files.

Given LucasArts' policy of insisting that magazines credit screenshots from their games, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the only way they could get permission to use the game images. But then I'm cynical.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read something about boxed-copy owners being able to play the single-player mode without connecting to Steam. I can't back that up at the moment, though.
