Hitman 2 (or "I could've done better than that where's the 'Restart Mission' key?!")
GregD replied to Intrepid Homoludens's topic in Video Gaming
Hitman 2 rules imo... So cool the way you can complete the levels extremely quickly without being seen or firing a shot in a short amount of time if you know how... (i.e. speed running) -
The H3 demo is real annoying since its like a quarter of the way through the game so it makes no sense. I loved Hitman 2 & 3 though 3 was a bit short. Hitman1 is very old gameplay wise compared to the other 2.

GTA Vice City and replaying Hitman Contracts with just a suit (trying to get no disguises and silent assasin on as many levels as I can). I want to check out the new splinter cell at some point. I still havent finished emporers tomb, I reinstalled it the other day but it seemed so boring that I couldn't be bothered playing.

I really don't see how they make their money... or even a profit, banner ads i guess.

Parents beware! Your kid might see a digital nipple!

OH NOS Digital Nipples at 3 o clock!!!11 Lol Thunder great photoshop'd pic -
Metal Slug X was a cool game... This game looks interesting... shame it's only a console release, mind you I don't think many PC gamers would pay for it since: a) It's not an FPS It's not in 3D c) It's not Star Wars (n.b Special thanks to LEC Marketing/sales for that last one)

If you like it fair enough, but imo it's a waste of money unless you really are a hardcore gamer who enjoys reading this stuff and paying for it. I don't mind reading gaming articles as long as they are free. I realise it's for entertainment and it's your money etc but isnt a game fans money better spent on the actual games/games industry rather than just reading about them? That way at least more money gets put into new games.... (or back pockets for those of you who are more cynical). If you pay for a content service I really don't see what your money goes towards in the long run, other than paying server costs? Or maybe you get more content... big wow.
-
I for one would never pay for content, let alone game news/review/article content when it's free in other places. I don't see what's so great about gamespot other than you can get some game preview movies before anyone else... big deal.

Yea just gonna have to wait for HL2 for the gameplay.
-
For sure but carnage isnt all I want, I want gameplay and adventure. I doubt I will be getting that with doom3.
-
Call of Cthulhu looks interesting... But maybe it will just be another silent hill type game.

Long are the days gone of the classic RPGs unfortunately.... Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and Secret of Mana 2 on the SNES... some of the best ever made. If MMO RPGs werent: a) So envolving that you potentially dont have a life outside the game. Expensive/pay per month Then they would be good, also there's no real end to them from what I can gather so it's rather pointless playing something you know you can't finish.

Carnage meaning lots of blood and gore I guess I agree about the story and atmosphere, im wondering if ID will pull it off this time.
-
I personally like to think its about both

"stupid people who don’t have any taste" I.e. those who say: "'After careful evaluation of current market place realities and underlying economic considerations, we've decided that this was not the appropriate time to launch a graphic adventure on the PC"
