No chance. I did find a third party that reckons they can do it for £90, though. Hmm.

Fuck you, iPad!!!! Apple wants £256.44 (that's $406, US readers!) to replace the glass. Fuck you, Apple!!!

You do a pretty good job, IMO! No problems! Let me know how you get on. I can keep on making improvements to it.

Did some say "text adventure"? The following was written by our very own Ben X: http://www.johnnywalkerdesign.com/TextAdventure/

You do realise I had my Santa Hat avatar ALL YEAR, right? I only changed it a few days ago. -
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

I'm sure someone can do a better job, but I had to see your avatar Xmasified... -

I'm sure someone could help out. -
Ooh, I loved The Lives of Others. Hope you do, too.

I respectfully disagree. I think they CAN hit some interesting things from time to time, but often they just go for the easiest target, and then make a mess of it. They're great at writing characters, that's true, but storytelling? They've become so predictable now, and they're never satisfying.

A few of us are already playing this. It's damned good fun once you know the rules! Check it! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/letterpress-word-game/id526619424?mt=8 (I believe I'm ThunderPeel2001 )

Yeah, as I say, it took me several games to learn what I was doing. Basically, it's like RISK but with words: You want to capture as many tiles as possible. If you manage to sandwich a tile between tiles of your colour, then it goes a darker colour and cannot be taken by your opponent until they capture one of the neighbouring tiles. The game is over when all the tiles on the board are taken. The winner is the person with the most tiles.

Indeed! But only if it's accurate, otherwise it may as well just be entirely fictional. (Of course, if it's an unusual game setting, that's pretty cool in its own right.) I really enjoyed driving around LA Noire, because of how accurate the roads were -- although I thought the game itself stunk. I heard a rumour that Assassin's Creed recreates ancient cities accurately, but I can't seem to find any evidence that that's actually true. I'd love to spend time in an accurately historic world. I think gaming is the perfect tool to learn about how things were in the past.

I'm updated my avatar accordingly. -
Also, got to say I love the interface. Going back to GameCenter after playing it makes it look even uglier than usual.

Haha It took me a few games to learn the rules. Another top tip: The game ends as soon as the board is fully coloured. It turns out I'm: JohnnyWalker2001 after all.

Very nice indeed! I recently converted the Raiders of the Lost Ark Story Conferences (featuring Spielberg and Lucas) to ebook format, so I could easily read it on my phone Link: http://thunderpeel20...-ark-story.html

The best thing about the trailer was the music from Die Hard they used.

It isn't a game, and I don't think it even means to be.

Mead sounds cool. I want mead.

The person who wrote this article is an idiot. This is like saying, "Apparently this car has a simplistic steering wheel interface. I can only guess that it has wheels on the outside, why otherwise would you need a steering wheel". Really insightful. Firstly, Facebook and Wikipedia run on PHP; You cannot infer anything from its use. Secondly, of course there's a bloody database!
