  1. Hot Scoops, Inc.

Sounds awesome. Still haven't played Minerva's Den because I'm not interested in BioShock 2 the main game.
  2. I didn't try that except once when I either ran out of torches or accidentally cast darkness, but that sounds like an interesting way to play it. Besides, there was a gold key I only found in the dark, that I completely missed when it was light. BTW. Is there only one gold key per each of the treasure rooms?
  3. The Elder ScrMMOlls

    I'm like
  4. Life

parrrrty time! congrats! I finished painting my new apartment's living room. Well, not compeletely finished as it was the first time ever I painted a room and I botched up a couple of small spots that now need fixing. Still needs furniture and a kitchen and curtains, but it's coming and I will hopefully move in in 3-4 weeks.
  5. I liked the game, but lack of story and grindiness make it -ish. The end boss is somewhat ridiculous, although I guess it could be kind of interesting, but I was going by spoilers near the end just to get it over with.
  6. Post your face!

  7. I disagree. IMHO, Warband is all about the melee, at least in multiplayer. It requires insane amount of practice to be good at it, though.
  8. Can anyone use Dreamweaver?

Hmm... I've not much to add that others haven't said, but IMHO syntax highlighting is the least difference between notepad and an IDE (but it's probably the one thing you have to have to even be considered an IDE or coder's editor) I'm mainly a non-web developer nowadays and I never remember how all those CSS field names are written exactly. So autocomplete, or even just error highlighting, helps me a lot with that. Knowing the navigation and basic text manipulation tools (and their shortcut keys) are probably the most important thing about editors to me -- because I do most of my work in Eclipse, I prefer to use that for HTML / CSS / JavaScript as well. I mean all the stuff like "move line up" and "autoident" and "select the word to the left of the cursor" and stuff like that. I don't know, most editors probably have a very very similar set of those kinds of tools, and you can change the shortcut keys, but I never bother with that -- I prefer my software to be non-customized where it can be, so I can more easily use it on whatever computer. So that's why I prefer to use Eclipse for almost everything.
  9. A Valley without Wind

RPS Interview Part 1: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/07/arcen-talk-a-valley-without-wind-part-1/ Part 2: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/08/arcen-talk-a-valley-without-wind-part-2/ Sounds pretty interesting, a post-ice-age 2D survival game with a procedurally generated world and some other cool-sounding concepts. [edit] Added part 2 link.
  10. I would love to play Warband (I used to be good at it, but now probably suck) but I agreed to play some Team Fortress with workmates at this time
  11. A Valley without Wind

I lost interest in this completely some time ago after playing a pre-alpha or something. My disappointment started with the switch to side-scrolling.
  12. Zorro Joins Double Fine

    That's a familiar logo on that T-Shirt
  13. Non-video games

I played my first game of any kind of Risk yesterday - LOTR variant. It's a rather dumb game IMHO. I don't like dicefests.
  14. The Witcher 2

I agree with you completely. I actually wrote a lengthy post in reply to brkl about this, but then deleted it because I didn't find the right words. You said it better.
  15. Zorro Joins Double Fine

Congrats, Chris! Any links about this?
  16. What does your view look like?

View from my new apartment's office room (sorry for the HDR bullshit, but I couldn't get a good single exposure)
  17. Life

    Congrats!
  18. Crap, now I want to play Far Cry 2 again.
  19. Non-video games

What I would like to do is a Mega-Dominion with maybe 20 or so action cards instead of 10 and and changed victory conditions so that the game would last for a few hours. Would probably have to include the higher valued cards from Prosperity (only played that twice).
  20. "Adults Should Read Adult Books" - Joel Stein

I haven't read this thread, but I have a question. Is "Catcher in the Rye" young adult fiction?
  21. Dishonored - or - GIFs By Breckon

even Arx Fatalis? What was so fuucked about that?
  22. Thanks, listening to it now. Also, good use of your thumbs!
  23. I will risk all of you laughing at me for not backing it when the game comes out and is great. And then I'll buy the game for $5 more or something. I hope the Lizzard Suite Larry one fails, though.
  24. Boobs, boobs, boobs...

    What's going on here?
