  1. Misse & Murre in space

10001! The attempt took long enough. About 2-3 hours. Uuhh... I might have polluted today's top 20 during that, (with help from that annoying coope)
  2. Secure Delivery my ass

Damn. I was supposed to receive an e-mail with the CD-key when downloading the free trial, but I still haven't. But the game probably sucks anyway.
  3. Secure Delivery my ass

On the contrary, I still think he was behind all this, scheming, manipulating ...
  4. Secure Delivery my ass

Either GameSpot finally fixed the bug, or it was my computers probelm* (I just installed windows on a new HDD) because now I'm downloading it again from their FTP server at a whoppin' 2 MBit/s. My ISP doubled the speed for the summer! * misspelled "problem", was too lazy to fix.
  5. Secure Delivery my ass

He is also my unborn grandson.
  6. why make another song when you can recylce!

That's the way to do it!
  7. Misse & Murre in space

WHAT? Shit. Now I must dedicate my life to get over 11000.
  8. F.E.A.R. - first person combat meets Silent Hill?

The 3-piece movie is now available in one piece: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/fear/media.html ("Official Movie 5") GameSpot's movie naming system is kind of weird and random. The second part was suddenly called "Trailer" for a while.
  9. Misse & Murre in space

    Woohoo! 9951. Just a little more and I'll beat 10,000 (and idlethumbs.NOT).
  10. F.E.A.R. - first person combat meets Silent Hill?

In the First Person action genre, I'm still hoping STALKER will blow me away completely, but I also have high hopes for HL2, Cthulhu, and now this.
  11. I think a little dose of "engineers" is actually healthy. Or maybe I don't fully understand that concept you brought up. For me, Appeal (of Outcast fame) seemed a lot like engineers/scientists because all their "behind-the-scenes" stuff I read/watched seemed really scientific. But at the same time, Outcast was artistically very different from anything else and is one of my favourite games. But maybe Appeal was just a lucky combination that will only happen once in a decade.
  12. I agree with Jake on this mostly (but can't think of any more examples at the moment), but I'd say the realism thing is a combination of a fad and technology limitations, and maybe something else.
  13. Misse & Murre in space

Thanx for the tips. I now got close to my record (8300 something).
  14. Misse & Murre in space

I love and hate this game. I still get pretty awful throws most of the time. To get a good throw (above 5000 or so) I have to patiently wait for that one out of thirty good starts. Most of the times the cat just rotates way too fast for me.
  15. Misse & Murre in space

Wohoo! I made it to the all-time top 20, past you, Anba. It seemed like luck though.
  16. I agree completely. And even just one ending with multiple very different paths in the middle of a game is better than multiple endings that depend on choices just near the end. I think.
  17. Not Deus Ex. You made the choice between three endings in the final level. Gameplay style had nothing to do with it. Gameplay style affected only minor things (and there was something about Paul appearing in the end or not appearing depending on something you did earlier).
  18. Misse & Murre in space

Well, I think I got it now. just 200 more points and I'm in todays top But it's damn hard using the jetpack at the right time.
  19. Misse & Murre in space

Seems to me it's just dumb luck whether I get a good throw or a really bad one. My record is 4100 + something.edit. Damn. When this throw started out, I thought that would go pretty far, but see:
  20. Ha ha! QuakeIII raytraced movie

    Oh, I get it now.
  21. Ha ha! QuakeIII raytraced movie

    Quit yo' jibba-jabba, fool.
  22. Ha ha! QuakeIII raytraced movie

    I don't get it.
  23. Happy Birthday, Emma

  25. The Geneology of Games

I once thought of doing a family tree of some games ... But it would be a hell of a task.
