  1. Avatars must go! ...thus spake Kingzjester

A movie based on Thief that looked like that would be cool.
  2. Flatout

possibly. I didn't look at much else.
  3. Flatout

The developers did that when they made the trailer.
  4. I had a dream about Idle T.

    Well, I dream about everything.
  5. Flatout

Yeah, they have definitely crossed the line here. Not interested.
  6. Dogs

So what do you mean by "look up"? They can easily bend their necks upwards and look up, but I guess that's not what you mean?
  7. IGN reviews San Andreas: "9.9"

Yeah, while playing Tony Hawk 2 I thought: this is the best game ever. But TH 3 is not as good, and 2 won't run on XP so I haven't played it again. For some reason I've never really considered TH2 to be one of my favourites, although playing it was probably the most fun I've ever had with a game.
  8. IGN reviews San Andreas: "9.9"

I just discovered (reading a thread at AG) that several of the big sites, including IGN and GameSpot have already given out 10.0 i.e. perfect scores - to Ocarina of Time. So what's the fuzz about 9.9 then?
  9. Morrowind

I actually managed to sell it. The price had somewhy gotten even higher, more than 35,000. But I traded for it everything the smith in Gods?????? had and his stuff & cash only came about 4,000 short. I decided it was worth it and made two trips to the other merchants, having bought two packrats before. Are there any larger pack-animals available somewhere? I know there's a mod that adds one, but I prefer not to install any unofficial mods. Anyway, by then the quests in Mournhold got really tough for me so I went back to Ebon?????? (can't I remember a single name?) and went to Vivec to find a book seller, but found a complete set of adamantite armor instead. Yay! PS. Speaking of mods, I installed all the official ones and an error message pops up every time I start the game, telling to see warnings.txt which has these warnings: One of the files that "EBQ_Artifact.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One of the files that "LeilaQuest.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One of the files that "AreaEffectArrows.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One of the files that "bcsounds.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One of the files that "master_index.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Errors may occur during load or game play. Check the "Warnings.txt" file for more information. I deleted all the save games I'd made before installing the mods, how do I make this message go away. I briefly searched for this problem in a Morrowind forum somewhere, but didn't find any help.
  10. The Bard's Tale 6.7 at Gamespot

Yes, but the average score of those is usually very representative. The more reviews, the better of course. Or actually, maybe it isn't. The average user scores are sometimes too high. Maybe because people who like a game a lot are more likely to write a user review.
  11. Morrowind

Thanx Kingz. I'll try that later. I haven't really started figuring out the magic system yet. At the moment, I was teleported to mainland (can't remember the names, the place with the Royal Palace) and I keep getting quests thrown at me, although I'm a bit weak for them. I've managed so far, though. With lots of reloading, I managed to kill an assasin who wanted to murder me during a play I was acting in and got a "Daedric sword" or something from him. As I've "persuaded" most of the merchants, I could get 34000 for the sword (more than 6 times the money I've ever had), but noone has that kind of cash or items of that value. I really hate when this happens in RPG's Anyone know where I could sell it? Then I could buy those adamantite armor thingies. Some of the quests are really awesome. I got to play matchmaker, and replaced an actor on stage who "got sick" or something.

And IGN said the humor is great and perhaps even the best found in any game.
  13. show us your room!

Why do you have 3 computers in one room?
  14. San Andreas

Wow. Did you see the new San Andreas trailer. Apparently you can even skydive! I wonder what you can't do in the game? From all the things that have been said about it so far, it looks like my dream come true, but I secretly worry if they haven't tried to bite of more than they can chew. I'm pretty excited, only about a week left till the release... I suppose. They haven't said it has gone gold yet.
  15. IGN reviews San Andreas: "9.9"

Read again: He has completed the story. The 100% finished means you have completed all the mini games and side quests and have found all the secrets. Playing GTA3 and Vice City, I had about 60% completion when the last story mission ended. I assume that not many people will go for the 100% completion anyway.
  16. San Andreas

Wow! Really, what can't you do? Even the reviewer acknowledges that this is the first game he remembers that makes you ask "what can't I do" instead of "what can I do".
  17. Avatars must go! ...thus spake Kingzjester

    Mine is not a leg.
  18. The Bard's Tale 6.7 at Gamespot

The scores do serve a purpose I think. For example some time ago I suddenly got the urge to play a strategy game. I had been practically ignoring the genre for years. I didn't know which game I would want to play so I started reading reviews of games I had heard good things about, and also looked at some scores, to sort out what games I could possibly like and then read some individual reviews. If there would have been no scores at all, it would have made it more difficult to select the games I might be interested in because I would certainly not have read reviews of all strategy games released during a certain period. And that's why you make a really good point, Jaero. Not all of the review scores really represented what the game deserved, and I found the scores given by GameSpot's users a lot more helpful.
  19. Selling the drama

Man, I was pretty tired when I wrote that post. I'll try to rephrase it tomorrow maybe. Meanwhile ignore it... I have thousands of thoughts somewhere in my head about this, but I can't really phrase them well.
  20. I still have to start playing again someday. My save games were destroyed by Alexandre the Great when I was about 2/3 through.
  21. This holiday season

He probably did mean GTA3 and Vice City by "the first two games". A lot of people do that.
  22. Avatars must go! ...thus spake Kingzjester

Since you included yourself, you might as well start. Also, should I change it 3 times?
  23. Elder Scrolls IV

Reading the GameSpy preview made me more optimistic, but I won't get too excited about ``an extraordinary new "living world" system´´ until I see it.
