There's nothing complicated about this. We should just blow it all up and start anew.

the thread where obscure mysteries go to maybe be answered

I haven't noticed. Then again, I've only listened to one album a few times. -
I don't trust trusted computing either. Is that shit going to appear in LonghornVista?

I think there was also a Nashville... or something, that was also called windows 96? Not really sure, but I once saw something like that at someone's who was really into piracy and was downloading all kinds of crazy shit from BBS-s all the time. That was probably a beta or something. I agree with Doug though -- if there are good enough reasons (better performance seems good enough), I'll upgrade.

My thoughts exactly. But it does look good. I hope there won't be too much reason to upgrade though when it comes out -- XP is good enough for me (I'm using the classic style, don't like the XP look).

Everybody in the world has skills that are wasted somewhere/somehow if you want to look at it like that. maybe they're just practicing before moving to amusement parks...

Good old wikipedia says: Alternative numbers While most manuscripts of the Bible read six-hundred-sixty-six or 666 for the Number of the Beast in Revelation 13:18, some early manuscripts contain 616 instead. Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus (5th century) and Papyrus 115 (3rd or 4th century). Irenaeus knew about the reading 616, but according to Metzger, Bruce M. (1971). A Textual Commentary on the Greek New Testament. New York: United Bible Societies. ISBN 3-438-06010-8., p. 751, Irenaeus "says that 666 'is found in all good and ancient copies,' and is 'attested by those who had themselves seen John face to face.'" The minuscule manuscript 2344 (11th century) identifies the Number of the Beast as 665. In May 2005 it was reported that scholars at Oxford University using advanced imaging techniques had been able to read previously illegible portions of an early (third century) version of the Book of Revelation, part of its Oxyrhynchus collection of papyri. The fragment gives the Number of the Beast as 616. Scholars now believe the number in question has very little to do with the devil. It was actually a complicated numerical riddle in Greek, meant to represent someone's name. "It's a number puzzle -- the majority opinion seems to be that it refers to [the Roman emperor] Nero." [2]

They're doing some pretty cool stuff with google maps (I guess google allows their maps to be used by thrid parties then?) http://www.ahding.com/cheapgas/ -- find cheap gas http://www.ahding.com/movie/ -- find where movies are showing I wonder when they'll make a game based on google maps.

Actually, I changed my mind and think the original keyboard concept posted here could be useful for some purposes. For example, translators? I sometimes want to type in Cyrillic, but I do it seldom enough that I don't want to buy a special keyboard for that and can't remember where the keys are. It would be cool if the keyboard could change the key labels for that purpose. Pressing alt-shift or whatever it was to change the input language would actually update the keyboard as well. I doubt the production costs would be worth it though...

I've seen nothing that beats the standard KeyTronic (with windows keys). Das Keyboard looks good (seems very similar to KeyTronic in shape), but I agree with Yufster about blank keys. There is no use for that other than trying to be cool. Some Microsoft and Logitech keyboards are good too.

The gameplay in the Psychonauts demo didn't really impress me. There, I said it. I'm almost not interested in the game at all, but part of me wants to play it because Tim yadayada. PS. probably thanx to my previous signature, the forums are now at the top of google results for "psychonauts sex", "psychonauts porn" and top3 or so for "psychonauts nude patches". yay!

I haven't heard it put like that before, but I agree. Lately I've been doing just that sometimes -- zooming out and finding everything in the world ridiculously funny.

I hate everything. [edit] <-- except the carrot juice.

Do I really have to? I don't really want to.

Speaking of telefragged, a few days ago I noticed the SCRAMM forum is still online. PS. link - http://www.telefragged.com/message_boards/scramm/ Posting doesn't work though.

Considering the lack of porn in this thread, I'll post this: http://www.nihilistikrypt.net/404.php

I think that's what I'm going to do as well (if I can get and adapter for the PS2 controller) -- I really hated the constant keyboard tapping required when flying in Vice City.

Sorry... I didn't have time to read it, but the outline seemed spammish.

I was looking for it in the store a couple of days ago, but didn't see it. Then I noticed some kids were looking for some game too and though: what else are they looking for than GTA, everybody is playing GTA. I followed them as they were going to ask a salesperson, and there it was, hidden in a corner, away from the the rest of the games. I think I'm going to buy it today, as it's payday.

Or in Windows XP, right click on My Computer and select "Manage", then "Device Manager" (get's you to the same view as Tanukitsune's directions). But you should also choose View -> Devices By Connection from the menu, otherwise it doesn't show things like buses and other stuff. In my case "ACPI Uniprocessor PC -> Microsoft ACPI Compliant System -> PCI Bus" has lots of devices where I can see that there are PCI-Express slots. Should be the same for AGP. As I remember there should be something like "PCI to AGP bridge"

Is this spam?

I will say that too
