Yeah, there should at least be a couple of "bonus missions" or something. And even the T-shirt in Vice City was "something". At least you could put it on while cruising around the town in a Freeway and listening to your favourite tracks.

I think there have been some games that have given us insight into things... Sim City. Maybe games like Civilization? They may have made us think about how our civilization functions. And maybe this sounds crazy (and I'm probably biased because I've been playing San Andreas exclusively for quite some time), but also the Grand Theft Auto series. Not really on the same scale as a good sci-fi book, but the radio stations have pushed some of our modern ideas to limits that expose their ridiculousness quite well (or not, that's probably personal. anyway, they have depth beyond their funniness) -- dormatron, petsovernight.com etc. The conflict between Sweet & CJ in San Andreas has also made me think about related stuff, although that story has most likely been done better in literature or film (can't think of an actual parallel immediately).

This happened last year with STALKER. Then it got delayed again. And again. And possibly again. So many promising games get delayed continuously that I've stopped caring about when/if they come out. With possible exceptions. [edit] If someone got the wrong idea, by "this happened with stalker" I meant STALKER also got delayed due to "common sense". Then it turned out there were ulterior motives.

TADAA! It's done. The reward was shitty though. Some cash I think, "stats boosted" (din't notice, possibly had the ones that were supposed to be upgraded already maxed), and the only good thing: tank and that military plane delivered to grove street. To paraphrase Vice City: "I completed GTA San Andreas and didn't even get a lousy T-shirt."

The stats say 84 hours... hmmm... I think it would have taken longer to get this far had I not already played it on the PS2 (not 100% though).

Thanx, I think I'm missing Dirt Track. The 100% completion guide on gamefaqs said it's open on two days only (wednesdays and mondays). I didn't know there's a gang territory in Bayside. will check it out.

Maybe he has a spider that gathers all words used in the web and uses various formulae to automatically calculate various "interesting" numbers (42, 666 etc) for them.

Oh, actually it's possible I haven't done one of these:
8-Track (Los Santos)
Blood Bowl (this the one in Fierro where you have to get the red markers before time runs out?)
Dirt Track (Las Venturas) (where's this? maybe I haven't done this?)
Kickstart (This the Sanhcez one where you have to collect green, orange, red markers for points?)

I think a webcam that is able to identify hand gestures sounds more plausible (and it's been done, too -- http://www.cs.ucsb.edu/~matz/HGI/HandVu.html). Lots of people have webcams, but I don't think a lot of people would buy these gloves. I think gesture technology is important though, but I don't see it as a complete replacement of the mouse/keyboard. I work as a programmer and I'd like to see gestures integrated into the IDE I use. I have already tried a simple mouse gesture plugin and it works very well -- Instead of memorizing lots of shortcut keys or which menus to open, I can execute some of the most common tasks by drawing a certain gesture (the plugin only supports orthogonal movements) -- which is a lot easier to remember for me. An even better way to run some of these commands would be to could just lift my hand slightly from the keyboard and draw the figure with a finger or make a sign or something, instead of having to grab the mouse.

I think the missions individually are probably the best in any GTA game so far. And I really like most of the individual "sandboxy" features. But indeed the glue that held it all together felt much stronger in Vice City. I still think it's a great game, though.

Ok, I get it, there's also a cell block H, but cell block D seems dominant.

Wasn't there a thread here recently where complaints were made about undeleteable files on windows partitions. I couldn't find it, but I remember that someone recommended a tool... Anyone still remember what it was? nevermind, remembered it, I think: Dr. Delete Hmm... after many unsuccessful attempts with regular windows explorer and FAR manager, Dr. Delete said it could be deleted easily without actually needing dr. delete.

Man, they totally forgot to add rewards for doing side quests... Getting money is nice (except when you already have more than enough), but having spent hours hunting down all the cars and oysters, I'm a little disappointed. Not sure what exactly I'd expect as a reward, but ... It was much nicer when you got a new weapon for every 10 hidden packages in GTA3/Vice City (was it the same in both?)

I mean, why is every prisoner located in Cell Block D, whenever someones location in a prison comes up in movies/books/games.

Post the funniest subjects of spam e-mail you've received. I get close to 100 fantastic spam letters a day (thankfully all on an account I've almost stopped using) and occasionally glimpse at the subjects. "You Can Be a Cop!" "help is on the way Samuel" "save yourself Hilda" "empty" "Help Protect Our Country!" "we cover all the medications you need coffin" "We've found a school for you!" "I Promised to help 5000 people" "These girls love Peeing..." BTW. What's this crap they've started putting to the end of the messages? To fool spam filters?

On the roof of Ammunation in the town with the big factory. Forgot the town's name.

Supaplex... that was one of the most played games in a computer class I went to around high school... Also never managed to beat it.

In Vice City, after I had completed the main plot, I also sometimes took a motorcycle, drove around and listened to my favourite MP3's on the "user track station" -- it made me feel relaxed too. I'll probably do the same in SA. I've usually listened through the talk stations during taxi missions.

I liked the "vibe" of Vice City more as well. *** The automatic "photo gallery" in the PC version is pretty cool. I had no idea how many shots I'd taken till I just now browsed the directory. Many of the photos are crappy angle shots from hunting the San Fierro snapshot icons (and I think that feature was a bit sucky -- I mostly have to zoom in on the icon so far that what's on the photo will be indistinguishable) but some have turn out quite good. And it's a fun look back at what you've done in the game.

Who cares?

That's either an oxymoron or you'reamoron.

How do I get rid of my muscles? The muscle stat used to be low, but then I spent an entire days worth of workout time lifting weights and have about half of the maximum muscles... now I don't know how to get rid of them. Instead, they keep growing...
