With the L twisted into S without using a controller?
-
This might be awesome. Can't wait to try it. When?
-
Same here. It probably took under a minute.
-
6th of July, not June, I think.

What are you talking about? I didn't understand one thing. Anyway, Assassin's Creed 2 looks fucking incredible, but the story may be even worse? What the fuck, is that the best outfit the assassin could find to blend in?

The gameplay is probably going to suck but I'm very likely still going to play this. Fahrenheit wasn't that good, but it still did some interesting things and was worth playing. Omikron was actually pretty good at times, even with it's hundreds of flaws. Even though Quantic Dream maybe full of crap about some things, they are experimenting and finding new ways to tell stories in games. Not that many developers are doing that. The fixation on QTE's is detrimental though. -
Just completed the first mission in Thief II The Metal Age. I've finished the game before, but now when playing this right after Thief Gold (patched with some Thief2 models and textures), it definitely looks and sounds a lot better than the first one: textures are sharper, models more detailed, sounds are better both technically (3D works) and aesthetically. The Guards have also learned a few more tricks it seems.

I don't remember that well how it was compared with Thief 3. There's some rooftop action (which Thief 1 didn't have at all), some missions have lots of machines, and at least one woodsie mission. Several missions are just looting some manor as I remember. I don't think the Thief series even allows for as much variance as Hitman, though. I just finished Thief Gold and I'll probably start Thief 2 now so in a couple of weeks or so I can comment more on this. [€dit] you may want to look at the Missions Overview in Wikipedia but it probably contains spoilers

Miniature Kamikaze Frog-Dinosaurs. What the hell? [edit] oh wait, those were in Thief II too. I had forgotten.

Plants vs. Zombies were fun for a week for me, but after completing most of the mini-games and stuff, it's not that fun to play them again.

Man, Thief Gold is huge. I remembered as if I had gotten almost to the end when I played it, but I think I never got past The Sword, which is about 1/3 through. At least I don't remember playing any of the ones after that. Some of the missions have really large maps. I'm in the Lost City now, been playing about one mission every night. Sometimes it's fun how your play style is forced to change if you bring the wrong equipment: I usually try to just avoid guards, but in the Thieves Guild level I brought way too little water arrows so I ended up knocking everyone out instead of making it dark. 67 knockouts.

Don't worry, they'll fill the rest with QTE's in the DLC. -
I would say 2 is the best one. But 3 has one of the most awesome horror levels ever made: Shalebridge Cradle.
-
Yeah, requires about 3 different patches, tough. I just started playing again a couple of days ago, it's still awesome!
-
If you give me your address I'll send you a double-pack of Thief I (not Gold) and II it's the cheap SoldOut Software packaging though
-
Yes, you should. And that day is today.

That kid is an asshole. He should pull the arrows out.

I don't think PopCap actually spent 3 years developing it. I think it was said it was in pre-production 3 years ago but was put on the shelf for a while.

They got it from Tim, watch the video embedded in that same interview. He said something like "[George Lucas] said to emphasize the main character more." It seems like they extrapolated it though.
