And this is even the default view in my case (I've never looked at it so I know I haven't changed it)

But it doesn't work if it isn't sincere. -
It was this place that gave me trouble. But it turns out it's a "you can't use the old man to kill the snake" situation (well you can but it's difficult). You gotta use the wizard! Anyway, I'm liking it so far so maybe I'll cough up the 30€. I was afraid it was gonna be 40€ for Europe on Steam.

I have problems with jumping as well. Some jumping related puzzles are a pain.

I think Remo mentioned something about Steam pre-order coming soon. Finally I could add a new piece to my collection of gear-themed desktop icons.

haha. the ending is brilliant. but you totally failed in talking about Penumbra. -
I also watched this like 20 times. I especially love everything starting from the escalator.

And that will smith movie the game, can't 'member the title.

It also reminds me of Anachronox a bit. Don't know why exactly. Based on the trailer I thought there were probably two playable characters, but it turns out the world is split into a day world and night world and the main character Lex transforms into a "Night Lex" in the night world. This is the only thing I don't like so far.

They've turned the game's website into a Myst-like semi-game. http://risen.deepsilver.com/ Also, from one of the cinematics there, it appears you won't be playing as one of the little people.

I did a fair amount of shooting, probably because I sucked too much. Especially against F/M. The game is really good, though. I just never got hang of blocking / dodging.

I heard Steven Spielberg's next game will charge you 1$ for every time you don't cry when you're supposed to. And 10$ if you don't cry at level 17.

Reminds me of Arcanum somewhy.

Wow. How the hell do they manage that?

AkuMifune, I don't know how far you are yet, but I have one suggestion for anyone who hasn't played it yet: Forget the areas outside of the cities. There's nothing interesting there. Just try to get through them as fast as possible. I initially tried to explore it all until realizing there was nothing to be gained, just more repetition. I enjoyed the first game too, BTW, but yeah it wasn't deep in any way.

Well, in an interview the designer said they have about 15 mission types and by combining them they can create infinite variety! I call that bullshit. An example was that an escort mission might turn into an assassination mission. But anyway, it does look good even though I hate those things I already mentioned and a couple of more. And I'll probably play it.

I think I'm excused by the fact that I was on the internets and was angry at a game that is not yet released.

Maybe you already saw this link at Mojo, but there's an interview with Tim and some ~15 mins of footage from the beginning of the game. http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6211060/?tag=top_stories;title;5
