Those glitches are the best. A new award category is needed for GOTY's.

hehe. I work in a place that still has some old soviet buildings, some pretty much look like taken from Stalker. One is still saying "Long Live KPSS". So I'm reminded of the game pretty often. Also, I think some scenes from the Tarkovsky movie "Stalker" were filmed about 500 meters from our office (can't find a reference right now though).

Yeah, I have the opposite opinion: Jurassic Park , Back to the Future game: want.

Maybe thumbs guys could join the RPS "clan". I kind of did already, but I have only been able to play in one "training (k)night" so far.

I'm doing the same, but haven't bothered to go check a FAQ for what needs to be done and I'm out of ideas.

Is anyone else here playing it? I've completely stopped playing the single player, but I've played ~150 hours of multiplayer. Scary. I think I've never played any multiplayer game that much before. No One Lives Forever may have come close.

I don't have a good tale about it, but I also felt very sad when I lost a horse I had for a long time. Not as sad as (ending spoiler)

After the "Kill a cougar with a knife" challenge I was expecting there'd be the same challenge for a bear. I tried several times, using lots of medicine, but every time another bear showed up and finished me. Then I finally happened on a bear that was alone, put a few shots into it at first -- that seemed to make it less aggressive -- and finished him off with a knife.

I somewhy got a Robocop vibe instead

I kind of agree. Mexico got a little boring and west Elizabeth seems even more so. Though I like the variation it brings to the landscapes, it would have been enough if those snowy woods were accessible from Hennigan's Stead and Thieves' Landing would be merged with Blackwater. Also it seems the game got suddenly harder after Mexico. I died a lot doing random stuff in West Elizabeth.

This game certainly has a lot of glitches. Thankfully I've not encountered too many. Mostly animal spawning (had a cougar spawn 6 times or more in a row 5 seconds after I killed the previous one), and horses being suicidal near cliffs.

I saw some of you were in free roam when I played some single player. Unfortunately, I don't have gold now so I couldn't join. Maybe next week.

What do you mean, "smallest crosshair?" I'm also very confused about duels after I got to Mexico and the Dead Eye upgrade and stuff happened. I didn't have trouble with them before, but now I'm unable to shoot their weapon off their hands (that's what I'm always trying to do as well). I want to make just one shot so I mark their hand, but Mr. Marston doesn't always fire for some reason until I mark more shots and then I usually end up killing them. [edit] never mind, I just read this wikia page: http://reddead.wikia.com/wiki/Dueling

I've been in Mexico for a while and it got a little boring

What's R1? Pressing down the right analog stick?

I saw one of those jumping cart bugs. The carts in this game are funny. A single-horse cart is no slower than a horse without a cart. At least it didn't seem slower when I chased one. And their handling, especially during a firefight, is harder than cars in GTA, although you'd think the slower speed would make it easier.

I'll post here when I get the time to replay the series.

Yeah, the only bugs I've seen are models becoming invisible. Such as one of those horsethief ladies. I lassoed one and thought to take her back to the sherrif, but her model disappeared after hogtie and the game entered a state where I was carrying an invisible body and could do nothing else, so I reloaded. Other bugs I've happened on are the regular physics weirdness that happens in any game, such as applying force to a body in a direction it cannot move, and it builds up and suddenly flies incredibly fast in a tangential direction to the pressure applied.

There was a long thread about stalker already some time ago

God damn, this game is so engrossing, I didn't realize it's already 5 in the morning... I mostly hung around Armadillo and MacFarlane's ranch so far, but now I took a ride around the western and southern parts of New Austin, hunting treasure and stuff. I thought I lost another horse, as another came up when I whistled, but the next time my old horse was back. The game sure looks purdy, and more varied than the initial area makes it seem. Most of the other settlements seem to be waiting for missions though not much to do there so far.
