Help is welcome! Especially on the design of the building and the thumbs.

It looks good from below. I started working on the Idle Thumbs House of Parliament/amphitheater behind the wizard's tower, in which people can vote* by lighting up huge signs (haven't started on those yet). It might be a long project, since I usually have only a couple of hours to spend on this in a day. The amphitheater area is blocked with a dirt wall for now, but there isn't much inside yet. Some of the wiring is in place going up to the placeholder pillars where the thumbs should be, and a maintenance room where some more complex wiring could be done if necessary. I'm thinking of two options for the wiring: 1) one person can vote at a time, by standing on a pressure plate corresponding to a thumb (really simple) 2) separate voting places for everyone, and some kind of counter that counts which thumb has more votes and lights that up. In case of doing the second option, a switch in the maintenance room could toggle between modes 1) and 2) * I have no idea if we need to actually vote about anything, this is just for fun.

Wow, that still water trick would have been handy earlier. I did something similar but I didn't know it would become still by itself so I put buckets of water there very quickly after digging out x. Like a checkers board. I believe water travels for 7 blocks before you have to drop a level.

I recently played Broken Sword on the iPhone, but the new content is tempting.

I can recommend visiting Erwin's Zombie Fire pit. Fun!

Oops, not sure if it's near the burning forest. I entered somewhere else but the exit I dug straight from the obsidian (the one with the marker) is near a sign that sais Mountain claimend by PiratePoo

I found an Obsidian mine!!! But I was too lazy to dig it all up myself, so I just drained the water and made a way to the surface and marked the entrance like this (see attachment) It's on the edge of the burning forest uh... is there a better way to take a screenshot on Mac than Cmd-Shift-3?

I hadn't seen that TED demonstration before. God, that was awful.

I built a dirt memorial in my Dirt-Free Bedrock Cave. If anyone wants to check it out, the cave entrance is south of the big tree and south-east of PiratePoo's (/compass gives you the bearing). The cave itself is not complete yet, but should be dirt-free now except for the memorial. Damn, it was hard work digging out all that dirt.

Cool. We should make something that can be read from "space".

The more than huge cave system I found in single player some days ago... well it's even bigger still. I found some passages I had missed the first time there. And they just keep going and going and going. It might take me days to explore. Also, learned to not play with lava so much. But thankfully, chests seem to be a bit like manuscripts* in this game. *

I'm T4ffer in Minecraft. I dug a crude spiral stairway straight down to the bedrock, a bit South-East (I think) from PiratePoos place and made my home there. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, I started cleaning it of dirt and leaving natural bedrock formations and occasional decorative redstone pillars. But somehow I expanded it far more than I initally had in mind and also managed to get some water and lava in there. Once I have made it look better, I'll make it easier to access.
