  2. The Witcher

If you have the North American version, is it the Director's Cut? That makes the NA version the same as the European one. Not sure if the two additional stories are in the Steam Enhanced Edition already.
  3. Games News and Gaming News

RPS for me mostly. Also I sometimes check Eurogamer. And TIGSource. I don't really need that much game news, it's ok if I don't know about something the minute it happens. For really interesting news, I can wait till someone posts about it here on the Idle Thumbs Forums.
  4. Sony Shitshow

Well said, that pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject that I was too lazy to wordify.

    Anagramed.
  6. POLITICS!

First in Portal 2 (spoiled ending if you clicked), now the US president says "Well handled" *. What's with all these Idle Thumbs references? ** * did you notice how he was deliberately avoiding a fake german accent when he said that? **

  10. What's not working with it now? I popped into the nether a couple of times when I visited the server.

    Evaporated.
  12. Braid

Jonathan Blow gave a rather lengthy behind the scenes talk about Braid. I found it really interesting. Warning: major Braid spoilers if you still haven't played it. gwsi7TEQxKc Sounds like he thought about how every little detail affects players. I wonder if many designers go that much into details and just don't talk about that.
  13. Spider Solitaire

What? A thread about Spider Solitaire? Crazy. So I play this when listening to podcasts or watching videos of talks. What I noticed just now is... Hmm. I'll start from the beginning instead. When I got Windows 7 I observed that Spider Solitaire no longer had the M (hint of next Move) and D (Deal) shortcut keys. You just have the H key for hints. Is this right? Anyhow, M and D are now back. Did the game observe my behavior of still pressing those old shortcuts even though they didn't do anything and eventually enabled them? If true, that would be cool. But maybe I'm just crazy.

    Marooned.
  15. I just popped into the server for a few minutes. Awesome stuff you guys have built. And I probably didn't even see a 100th of it. Will probably start playing again once I've had enough of SP.
  16. Sony Shitshow

This is off topic, but there's this one stupid mailing list that keeps REGULARLY SENDING ME THE PASSWORD. Like once a month. It's not like a mailing list password is a security problem, but it's so stupid anyway:
  17. What the hell is Hector?

Not surprising considering the game was made by some Irish guys.
  18. What the hell is Hector?

Played it. It's good I guess. At least has a quite dissimilar theme from any adventure games I know and not afraid to make really lewd jokes.
  19. Metro 2033?

Just finished. Man, this game should be either: a) shorter less punishing Some of the levels near the end are somewhat crappy. Otherwise, really cool game. Does very well in taking STALKER's atmosphere to a more straight shooter / horror setting. I personally still prefer Stalker by far though.
  20. Variety

Not sure if it qualifies, but the Amber series by Roger Zelazny had various chase sequences. One of the first ones involved at least one car. I read them years ago so I don't remember if those parts were good, though.
  21. Sony Shitshow

Suddenly I'm glad that I had to use fake info because PSN is not officially supported in my country. I may have used a password there that I use elsewhere though.
  22. Portal 2

Yeah, those were somewhat annoying. There weren't any timed puzzles in Portal 2 I think? Maybe a couple of places where quick reflexes were needed.
  23. Portal 2

That's one of my favourite parts of the game! Also what is this rat man thing? Did I miss something in Portal 2?
  24. Metro 2033?

This thread getting bumped made me go and play some more. Really enjoyed one level where there was a fight between , even though it was really long and tough and made me replay some parts more than 10 times.
  25. Metro 2033?

I stopped playing it probably because it seemed quite demanding. It was really good, but like Amnesia it felt like you have to plan and prepare for playing. Make sure you're in a dark room with headphones etc. Should get back to it.
