Well, that was weird. I guess I finished Minecraft. Everyone probably knows what the end is but just in case I'll add spoiler tags. Overall, the ending feels kind of tacked on, but maybe this was just the first iteration of the adventure mode? Haven't been keeping up with what they have planned.

Actually I continued anyway -- found some nether fortresses and a stronghold and messed about for three or four hours trying to get the nether portals right to fast travel between my main home and the stronghold. Now I'm more than half way there to opening the end portal, just need to find more pearl-dropping endermen. I'm also still playing another world occasionally with my neighbour's 6-year old kid, but in that case it's more like he tells me what he wants to do and then watches as I do it. And he doesn't have enough patience to build something big, so we just explore and build small houses and stuff.

Yeah, Kvothe, while annoying at times, is actually a pretty interesting character. He is somewhere between anti-hero and hero. He seems to have good intentions most of the time, but will lie, cheat, steal, destroy if it benefits him.

Didn't find any thread for this. This game is going to be sweet. I played Lugaru a bit, but thought it was just an interesting idea with mediocre execution. But it seems in Overgrowth the execution will be much better. I love the amount of time they are spending on little details like eye movement. woRoM-9oH0o Oh, and apparently if you preorder, you'll get to try the things you saw in that video already. It's interesting that several indie devs seem to be taking this route nowadays -- pre-order and you'll get access to (pre-)alpha stuff. I think that started before Minecraft, even?

Aargh. Started a new world and messed around for hours. Then went on a map-filling and feather gathering mission (so I could have more arrows for Nether), fell to my death in the middle of a jungle. It was impossible to find all my stuff again, lost all arrows and feathers and the almost filled map. Think I'm done with the game for a while. There needs to be something to counter this shit for me to keep playing it.

Looking forward to it, but there are two things I'm disappointed about: * the assassin's outfit * the assassin's gait They are too similar, especially the gait seems to be identical (as much as I can tell from still screens). Then again, I can see why they wouldn't want to redo animations and fine tuning and other stuff it may concern, as that might take a lot of time. And it's not really the clothing that makes someone a hashashin is it. An assassin should blend in. In the first game, he did mostly, but I don't know why they stuck with that.

Sure about that? I'm not sure exactly how joint stereo works, but I imagine that it just detects if both channels are the same (for some length of time) then it only saves one channel for that time. The suggestion to use stereo would mean that there's a subtle difference between L/R channels at all times so it would still be 2 channels all the way. But I might be totally wrong about this. Nevermind, seems I was wrong.
