Some people are complaining that Shadow doesn't have the same ethereal graphical quality as the original release. And after seeing some side by side screenshots I agree, it is really stepping back from the original vision and giving it an 'Uncharted'-like feeling instead.

Anybody playing this? After two hours I'll say this: it feels great to control and is just so so polished. An indie game that just kept polishing itself for a decade! Lovely illustration and animation. It has really sucked me in so far.
Gameplay and story so far are pretty basic though, I'm not sure what to expect on this front.

I'm on board but the whole thing looks kind of big doesn't it? I think the WiiU gamepad is too huge to be a good portable system.
-
As I understand it the PC version is not very stable, but can someone comment if the pop-in that is so obvious on the PS4 version is fixed on the PC version?

I've seen Pokémon Go with a couple of people now and, it's weird: it looks like a pretty ugly / visually uninteresting game with mechanics that don't terribly appeal to me beyond the gimmick aspect of augmented reality. Yet, everyone goes nuts about it, which must be a combination of Pokémon and the adventuring vibe? Like, it's just inherently fun to go outside to do an actual goddamn quest in real life, wandering around - no matter how shallow or ugly or iffy the game itself is?
Yeah I think that's it. Also I assume most of the people who are into Pokemon Go don't normally play games? People also like a fad to latch on to.
Oh well, hopefully it'll shut up the Nintendo investors long enough that they can make some real games in the background.

Man, dreadful trailer...it's like a slap in the face of the fans who backed the project: "Oh do you like video games? You nerd? Did you back this project? Hmm? Why are you hitting yourself? Huh?"

Does anybody know which SD cards (Europe?) work for the 3DS? This recent bundle barely fits in my SD card. Would getting one from a dollar store be a REALLY bad idea?
32 GB is the limit I believe. They do have the info on the ninty website so google it.
Me too! I gave a criminally low amount solely for that and Retro City Rampage. I've only played some of the latter game which is pretty clever!
Yes! I only gave the bare minimum of $1 and made sure not a cent of it went to 'charity'.
Shantae is fantastic.
I played for a few minutes and can tell it is Wayforward at their best, just have to get some work done this week so I can actually play a bit of it. Also Griddlelol I am playing through Tactics Ogre now, which I remember you couldn't get into. My sentiments were the same as yours, I just could not get into it and finally tried again (third attempt!) and I am sixteen hours in and hooked.
on holidays in europe and why does this stoopid charger not handle 240 volts ugh. I basically only use the 3ds when I am traveling.
Just get one at Müller for 10 EUR, that's what I did...also I got the Hanafuda plates on:

Used this bundle to finally get Shantae 3ds.

I really enjoyed Mario tennis on virtual boy.

The patent application showed handles on the controller that make it look very ergonomic, you can probably just snap those on (if this is the real design) so I'm not too worried about that. Some of the reddit comments suggested dynamic physical buttons being a possibility, but I doubt it...that tech looks expensive and is probably not durable.
Who knows? We will see if it's real or not...
-
New pictures look real though, so I'm not sure what to think.
-
Yeah those both look fake, still not much information on the system in general so nothing concrete to discuss really.
-
IGN says Firewatch has already sold 500k copies, which puts its revenue around 10 million USD so far (or at least close). Congrats guys, hopefully Camp Santo will keep them coming!
-
I backed this too and have it installed but no time to play right now.
-
Yeah I know, that was announced like ten minutes after I bought it on ebay.
-
No 71 purchased, but altogether costs more than 35 clams to come from Japan... ...thanks miyamoto
-
Oh that hanafuda one is actually really nice (No.071)...will I be able to obtain it though, that's the question...
-
I cannot stand the faceplate designs, I just don't wish to put any sort of character onto a system. They're truly dreadful.
My only option is ordering a replacement part from Nintendo Japan adn then have it forwarded to me with a special service....probably it'll cost me at least 30-40 dollars.
-
Does anyone, anywhere in the world, know how I might go about getting normal, white New 3ds faceplates?
-
Tom Francis can be proud of what he created and I hope the game has sold enough well as he surely deserves it.
Yeah I agree, even if Gunpoint proves to be his only success I would say his development career was worthwhile for gamers in general.
-
Oh I'm surprised I never commented in this thread, Gunpoint is great. Definitely one to look for during steam sales or humble bundles if you're not sure about it. The whole thing is two hours long which is just perfect for what it is.

I guess I'll just include the game systems I bought with my own coin:
Gameboy Color: Metal Gear Solid (this is the first thing I ever purchased on Amazon.com)
Gameboy Advance: Golden Sun (really didn't enjoy it, system in general was too dark to play)
PSone: Metal Gear Solid (the real one this time)
Dreamcast: Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Shenmue
PS2: Metal Gear Solid II, Zone of the Enders
Gamecube: Metroid Prime, Zelda Windwaker, Pikmin (what a wonderful time!)
NDS: Zelda Phantom Hourglass
PSP: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, My Summer Vacation 4 (the second time I bought one)
PS3: MGS4, My Summer Vacation 3
PS Vita: MGS HD collection
So far that's it. If last Guardian is good I will get a PS4 I guess...
Woah, Kojima moves hardware.
This list of course doesn't include the half dozen computers purchased during this time.
-
Yeah my Surfacepro 3 basically can't handle this game, in case anyone else is thinking about running it on one.
-
I'm kind of laughing because one of the highest reviews right now is from IGN...what does it mean??!

I am looking forward to Ace Combat 7-- always liked the series a lot and VR is an obvious next step.
A bit worried that they are putting too much money into it and it won't be fun as a result (grumble grumble)
