Splinter Cell chaos theory looks pretty good, probably not as good as games already mentioned though. Sadly the PC has become kind of second fiddle for developers, so graphics are more tied to consoles when they could be far better.

Idlethumbs: shelter for battered women PC users.

Jesus, we all now Thrik will go in the lower middle, Nick will go top left and then Thrik won't be able to win. Its a retarded game, just stop, stop the madness!

Man, I played Stalker on my PC months ago. Ok it was just a shit alpha...

There is probably a sum total of 10 games that were actually really unique, expecting that from any game going in is, put simply, dumb.

If you don't have a controller and struggle with keyboard control, just get the Xbox version. The only upside for PC is the super high resolution...but I fear now that you've tasted the sweet nectar of the PC version graphics it might be hard playing it on a normal TV.

"On our main test PC, we found that certain lines of dialogue, as well as some specific sound effects, just came across as much too quiet, like they were on a different audio channel that couldn't be turned up or something." I got that problem in the demo as well, I'm thinking that the "hardware enabled" feature in the sound menu might be the problem, although I'm not sure why. Anyone know? Basically if it isn't multiplayer or Final Fantasy it will score low.

Who cares how goth it was, POP2 was ass. I would avoid playing with a large, hairy ass no matter how much black nail-polish and lipstick is smeared on it.

The demo is short enough so a save system isn't needed, just play it all the way through. One character I can already tell will be hilarious is the Russian guy, all of the characters are superbly voiced and animated, but this guy is just plain awesome.

Maybe you don't understand the dynamics of the Idlethumbs community, we are all lechers, knee-deep in illegal activities, with no hope or desire of mending our ways. So post em poncho.

Does anyone else get a wierd tesselation feel when they look at those oblivion forest screens? It seems like if you looked long enough a 3d image would pop out...

Well, I just invested Ihope this works out! Thanks for the tip! And Welcome!! :9~

You could always just go to an EB and look at their demo units, those always get the shit kicked out of them by four year olds. If six months after launch the demo screens are passable, they're probably pretty good.

Oh, someone must have just changed it then before I played the demo. One thing I'm interested in seeing (for the single player) is if the game will be entirely in small corridors like the demo, or if we'll get any spacious exterior enviornements. Those were the most impressive parts of Metroid Prime.

This was so posted like, two days ago. I had no idea it had any direct connection to SEGA, maybe they paid the guy something for it.

Having played the original Quake with a stylus (on my PPC), I think the genre could flourish on the DS, it's way better than using a controller. Metroid is kind of wierd though because you shoot by tapping the stylus down...wouldn't it be better just to 'steer' with the stylus and let the L button shoot?

Wow, a text based version of Quake. That's pretty stupid.

If I knew what Rose and Jim or The Ballad of Sweenie Todd were I too might be terrified.

Loonyboi I thought you said you did PR? Anyway I thought Civ was always pretty easy to get into. ...I'm not sure a visual presentation of Spore is enough to just write off one of the most intuitive games of all time.

shhhhhh, don't let the others know

Do you guys think it will be the kind of game where you'll spend a few days on each phase? Or is Wright trying to go the 'Pirates!' way and be able to most of the things in just a few sittings? I know that in Sim City you could spend days and days growing your city, and that Sims rubbish was pretty much an endless time drain...

I saw three movies this past week, those Aviator and Million Dollar Baby deals. Both were pretty good...and also saw Easy Rider, which was pretty much awesome.

Even though Zelda is always a thematic clone of its self, it has never been devoid of innovation. I mean, Zelda 64 basically invented the modern 3d action adventure, Wind Waker had sailing and a unique style. This one seems like a step backwards though, Windwaker looked much nicer.
