  1. favorite tv shows

How was The Matrix responsible for the Dreamcast's downfall?
  2. Cursing in Oblivion

Just wait till you get the part where Septim says "I'm gonna ice those niggas". That line really ruined it for me. Seriously though, even though I haven't reached that part (I think- is it a side quest?) there are other instances that pull you out of universe as well, such as the times when one character has multiple generic voices for different lines. But I agree, they should - and largely do- keep the vernacular consistent.
  3. Oblivion

I heard there was some sort of 'Fallout 3 Preview' (whatever that might mean) on the disk...well, is there?
  4. Game designing makes you go bald

That last one really cemented it.
  5. Serenity/Firefly

Sometimes trailers excise all of the wit, style, or concept from good movies and make them seem like low-brow drivel (Fight-Club, but maybe on purpose). This movie's trailer is just like that. Shite.
  6. I think all of the communiactions are text based, but I could be wrong, because I was getting wierd bugs and had to quit so I haven't gone through much of it.
  7. Seen any good movies lately?

I thought 21 grams was pretty awesome, the story didn't carry any special significance but the staggered plot and acting (especially Del Toro) were great. The ending monologue or whatever was wholly unecessary and ditruptive to the silent mood of the film though, they should have taken it out and named the movie something else.
  8. An article for your perusal

Yeah, I had to highlight the text just to get through the article, white on black is a bad idea.
  9. Sin 2 Episodes

Actually it was pretty well known, mostly for being a buggy piece of shit.
  10. DS release list

"Every dog in Nintendogs is available in all three versions of the game, but from the start you're stuck with the first six dogs listed specifically for the version you pick up. Eventually as you earn money, you'll gain access to more and more of the dogs that aren't native to your copy." -taken from ign.
  11. The Swordmen Game(Prince of Persia3;o)

The constant mis-spelling of "prize" almost had me there, but it is just marketing. So .
  12. Penetration

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but I can't help laughing!

  14. Chan - Street Fighter

My friend was telling me about that...it's actually a pretty good parody, especially when they start moving in frames like animation.
  15. BFME2 - Another reason to hate EA!

They should make a Hobbit RTS entirely focused on cooking for dwarves, tightening belts when hungry, and singing bizarre songs. That's I game I could support.
  16. Psychonauts postmortem in Game Developer

AAA basically means 'a sequel to a very successful game', in a practical sense. There's no actual 'A' ratings handed out...
  17. Somebody justify Beyond Good & Evil to me

I didn't like BGE much either, but it was extremely well realized and a polished game. And I enjoyed the photography aspect; I kind of wish the whole game had been centered around the photograhy rather than banal action. In any case I wasn't able to finish it.
  18. Current status of your thumbs

My right thumb is also scrolling down webpages My left thumb is rotating a guitar pick around in my mouth, which I chew on like an infant.
  19. WoW coca-cola advert

    Woah, there's TV in China?
  20. Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince...

That book is basically just Harry Potter anyway.
  21. Lucasarts on Star Wars IP

So basically what they're saying is: we ran out of star wars movie tie-ins and now we're planning for the new Indiana Jones movie.
  22. Why the Hate on Metal Gear?

They've getting worse with each installment. MGS1 was childish, inept, and at times laughable, but it was fun most of the way through and pulled off the 'cinema' style like none other. But (for me atleast) the games always get less and less fun the further I get through the game. And I think the reason is: guns! Guns break the game. There is no finer part of the MGS series than the very opening of metal gear solid 1, where you have simple logic-puzzle layouts and no weapons. These first enviornments are well designed and tense, forcing the player to actually avoid detection and hide when spotted, instead of the tranquilizer-gun antics featured in the last two games. And each new weapon saps that inital fun a little more until you're left with the MGS3 endgame drivel: mowing people down with your high powered shotgun while trying to navigate the confusing mists of the faux jungle, stopping occasionaly to blow a stamina-replenishing squirrel out of a tree with a rocket propelled grenade. The saddest part was that the original MGS1 formula, with dumb, half-blind guards and fast hide timers, was balanced exceptionally. It was the stealth game that was actually fun. But there's none of that left, it's all gone to pot. And stories...wow...totally embarrassing. MGS3's story wasn't even wierd or quirky or anything, it was just random shite.

  24. Why isn't Psychonauts selling well?

I can't wait to see the kids...
  25. Why isn't Psychonauts selling well?

Maybe you don't understand. PoP sold so much because it was bundled with everything under the sun and prices were slashed on all fronts. They didn't sell close to what they were expecting, so they decided to latch on the first game onto a bunch of other big-selling hardware and software, hoping the install base would grow and be open to a sequel.
