  1. YAR! it be talk like a pirate day!

Wait, I didn't look on the main page yesterday. What did I miss?
  2. The Sims 2

I borrowed The Sims off a friend once and played it solidly for a week or two. Then I got bored of it and threw it away (not litterally). The Sims 2 looks really really cool, but I'm afraid that I'll get bored of it like I did with The Sims 1. Personally, I'm not interested in the new Rollercoaster Tycoon game to satisfy my Sim needs. I've never liked the series before, but the 3D engine and gameplay enhancments look exciting.
  3. The official How Would You Seduce Yufster? thread!

    Okay here's another idea:
  4. The official How Would You Seduce Yufster? thread!

If you liked that then take this for suggestive inuendo... ness.
  5. The official How Would You Seduce Yufster? thread!

You mean this little thing? ;D
  6. The official How Would You Seduce Yufster? thread!

Hah, except that "ordinary fence" was actually the last remaing segment of the Berlin Wall. Not interesting at all! I'll try and dig out a recent Gabzo photo for the ugly mug thread sometime. ;-*
  7. The official How Would You Seduce Yufster? thread!

I would go up to a statue of a naked guy and grab his stone penis with one hand whilst simutaniously winking at the camera. Apparently she likes that stuff.
  8. Quake IV in PC Zone

I love the way it'll be a sequel to Quake II and Quake III, but I think that if it was a sequel to Quake I storyline wise it would be cooler. I agree the weapons look very samey (as does everything, now that I think about it), and it looks like they might even have the Doom style flashlight in there. Hmm.
  9. Quake IV in PC Zone

Heh, I hope that last line was sarcasm. But yeah, I'm a little disapointed that Quake IV looks so much like Doom III, but then what do you expect? Maybe I'll grow to like it. Of course, to really apredciate the graphics you have to see them in the magazine, as the scans just don't do them justice. The outdoor area here looks cool, but it could do with being lighter and more colourful to make it less Doom like. Doom used to be the bright and colourful one but then it went like Quake, so why should Quake become like the original doom? Another thing I don't like is the plot - cyborg aliens from another planet? (Snore). Bring back weird cults worshiping the God Quake (that was what it was all about in the first place, remember?) and adventures through time and space.
  10. Quake IV in PC Zone

Well PC Zone have a "massive exclusive", not a "world exclusive". Hah, well, I've got nine pages to do including the cover, so it's a bit more than that... but I'll do it anyway, just for you. ;(edit) Wait, in the article it does say it's the world's first look. I never trust PC Gamer much anyway - remember the Monkey Island 5 rumour? ; (edit 2) See the scans here: Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Page 5 Page 6 Page 7 Page 8 Sorry for the loq quality, but I didn't want to take up too much space - you'll have to buy the magazine yourself (or wait for PC Gamer) to see it properly. In the meantime, copy them into your favourite image editing programme and zoom in for the fun!
  11. Quake IV in PC Zone

Dude I wrote "scab" not "scan". I'll give you my scab but not a scan. Well, I might, but I kind of regret typing that now because scanning requires effort and I can't be bothered.
  12. Game Stars Live

Sounds great - I should go sometime! Any chance of pictures?
  13. Baldur's Gate III

I needed a place to get excited about this game and post wild rumours, so I'm giving these forums a try. There's two nuggets of information floating around that you may or may not know about concernign BG III. First up there's additional information from (another?) PC Gamer. I'm very confused about this, because some sources say that PC Gamer simply says "more butt kicking for goodness is finnaly on its way. Atari has spent the last several monthsworking with an unnanounced developer on the high concept of Baldurs Gate 3.", whilst other sources say that PC Gamer says this, which has rather a lot of information The two peices of information might come from different PC Gamers (US/UK is a likely explanation). Or maybe the two quotes are from the same article, but people have split them up for some reason. I dunno. Secondly we have a possible sub-title for BG3, as seen in this magazine scan. It may be faked or it may be unreliable, but hey, any rumours are good rumours. That's the two biggest peices of information about this game, although there's also a rumour that Bethesda is the unkown developer (who I believe are also working on Fallout III). That's a very dodgy rumour though, and is probably not true. Incidentally, if anyone wants information on the *original* BG3, then look here.
  14. Baldur's Gate III

Not big news, but at least we can rule BioWare out from the possible list of developers: link. Shame, I reckon they would have been good.
  15. Baldur's Gate III

this information about Neverwinter Nights 2 is also interesting, and may inferably tell us something about BG3 - firstly, that it's likely that it'll use the same modified engine (which sounds awesome), and secondly, that it'll use (hopefully) the same Stronghold system. This is just speculation though, and in truth we have no idea how far the two developers will co-operate, if indeed they co-operate at all.
  16. Baldur's Gate III

Yeah, I'm damn excited too. I forgot to mention this extra bit of information from PC Gamer in my last post: I think I would have prefered a game set *after* the events of TOB, though obviously not with te character (just with the plot related to the previous game's actions). The prequel idea could still be cool though - and the possibility of finding out more about character's backgrounds would be great. If the polls thing is true, then I hope Kivan from BG1 gets voted in to be included somewhere. The only bad thing is that the henchen stuff sounds a bit too Neverwinter Nights for me. We'll see, though...
