    Well that was fun.
  2. Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

Remember to try to get all the Rockstar Club and Games for Windows Live bullshit over with before we start, everyone!
  3. Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

Maybe someone will stream it? I won't, but I'll possibly post the entire thing (sans voice chat) on Youtube aftwards.
  4. Let's Draw Video Games

It's just a matter of getting a lot of practice, and always trying to look at life with the eyes of an artist.

In the interest of not spending all evening trying to find a chat thing, we'll just decide on the Idle Thumbs Mumble server, as I think it's been tested and works for enough people already. I'll leave you with PiratePooLu's helpful instructions for getting on Mumble: edit: Oh, and also I'm now all set for recording the game without voice chat, so I should be able to record a sweet thing maybe. Mumble We use mumble for voicechat. Address: idlethumbs.mumble.com Port: 8302 Password: wizaaaaaaaard (thats 8 a's) Don't have mumble? http://sourceforge.n...latest/download DOWNLOAD!

Also, why fuck Mumble? It's the chat system I've had the least problems with.
  7. Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

I'll be playing with the controller. Don't know about mods?
  8. iPad gaming

I'm really interested in how they're adapting the Transport Tycoon UI for the iPad.

Fucking time zones. Every time. Okay, I think it's safe to say it's happening 21 fjord time, which is 19 (or 7 PM) UTC – is that enough information to decode? Also, if you check the Idle Thumbs Steam group, it should show the event in your local time. I think I've said correct things here, and not lies. In other news, I think I've figured out a way to record game audio without voice chat (using software known as Virtual Audio Cable.) I'll do some testing beforehand, but hopefully I'll be able to FRAPS the bejesus out of this thing.
  10. Grand Thumb Auto retro PC edition

I have good news and bad news, both of which are that I'll be able to join after all.
  11. Arma 3 Beta Shenanigans

Well that was fun. I just dropped the 320GB FRAPS file of it into Media Encoder, so I guess I can spend tomorrow finding hilarious moments or something.
  12. The (Video Game Music) Nostalgia Thread

    Maybe your idle thumb.
  13. The (Video Game Music) Nostalgia Thread

I am this close to creating a «The Swapper Video Game Music» thread:
  14. Laika Believes in Magic in a Young Girl's Heart

Man, what a crazy trailer, starting out all melancholy, talking about this poor dog and how they want to comment on its fate by letting the player provide an alternate narrative, and then five seconds later this guy is going down his list of cool guns. Backed.
  15. Steam Summer Getaway Sale

    Oh no.
  16. Let's Draw Video Games

Yeah, I think that was the intention.
  17. Rogue Legacy

Nope, I'm terrible at using magic.
  18. Rogue Legacy

Yeah, buying the haggle thing and that pogo one felt terrible, because I knew they were useless, and I could've bought tons of health instead.
  19. GTA V

Though it's only a wild theory, I believe all these extracurricular activities – even if you choose to ignore them – add to the feeling of an actual living world. One of the things that makes open-world worlds feel real to me, as opposed to some kind of Truman Show, is the impression that things are always going on all over, and people aren't just standing still waiting for me to come around the corner before they start selling hot dogs or whatever. The enormous amount of non-critical-path content like TV, stand-up clubs, radio stations and so on all contribute to cementing the city as real. Or so I believe, anyway.
  20. Rogue Legacy

Amazing, you're some kind of Rogue Legacy Columbo!
