  1. I played Kick Off 1&2 ALL the time.

I even once destroyed my 512kb memory card accidentally when I lost in a Kick off 2 match against the computer, I'm a little bit crazy you know.

Kick Off 2 is definately the greatest football game ever created.

The banana curve ball control was so perfectly made, I've never seen in any other game so total control for the ball movement.

Only game that has even come close is Total Soccer, the new millennium clone of Kick Off.

  2. I had that game on my Amiga, I played it a lot, but because the game was a copied version, I had no real idea what to do in the game, it was intriguing though...

  3. I do like the look of Doom3.. which seems to be inspired by HR Giger art (Alien movies). I just don't think ID have any flare for writing a good story/gameplay. You only have to look at their previous titles to see that they obviously dont have it in this department.

Well ID isn't doing the story for Doom3, they hired years ago the guy who wrote 7th guest and 11th hour games stories.

Doom3 is going to be a very different kind of ID Software game.

  4. 19 years old guy from Finland. At the moment studying for my entrance exams to University. Found this site through Adventure Gamers Forum where I'm a frequent poster.

I'm almost like Mattsius, except I'm about three years older than him.

  5. I'm not a huge sequel man myself, but the Land of the Dead is the most perfect setting for one. I don't think it'd be right to have Manny, maybe no characters from the original. But it is a rich canvas on which to paint.

I don't support making of a sequel to Grim Fandango.

But if someone eventually makes one, I hope it would be made just like Screwtape said, no returning characters from the original game.

  6. Damn, I'm still waiting for Benoit Sokal to create an adventure game based on his Detective Canardo comic book series.

No that would be an awesome adventure game I tell you.

  7. Yeah, if I didn't know any better, I'd say it's deeper than a Magic Eye picture, the ending of The Sixth Sense and a Lynch movie of your choice, combined.

But I'm not the only one here on this retro gaming forum who prefers most good low-res 2d graphics over today's usual crapaloni 3D, am I? And I'm not talking about the Unreal 3 engine or CryTek or whatever. I'm talking about the developer houses like Revolution and Adventuresoft, who can't make or afford to buy proper 3d engines. I'm sure Blizzard could've cooked up some neat-o stuff with their wads of money. It's sad that those who're not able to make decent 3d are forced to anyway by the evil market.

    No, you're not alone.

  8. I don't have the money to buy either of those upcoming portable gaming machines, but comparing the systems, Nintendo's DS just feels so much better than PSP.

Nintendo's bringing online gaming to portables, touch screen, voice control to DS, although launch titles may not be so superb.

Sony's bringing a portable PS1 enhanced? And I see only one interesting game in it's launch list, Wipeout, and I played that game years ago and don't really want to play it again on a portable machine.

Both machines will include lots of remakes of old N64&PS1 games.
