Well, I'm still waiting for Cave Story to be released in European Wiiware. I hope that happens during this year. Would be a bit of a shame if European customers should have to wait a full year after the US people got the game. Super Meat Boy is coming soon and a new Bit.Trip game is coming along as well. Things are looking pretty sweet in the indie world of gaming.

I watched Salt this weekend and it was a waste of my time and money.

Congrats Murdoc, good to hear things are turning to a better direction!

oh fuck yeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!! I knew it would come!

It seems to say in quite many websites that the official word is that the PC version will come "at a later date". I'd like to hear what this is about, I'm not interested in Bioshock 2, but would be great to hear more about Steve's DLC. EDIT: I didn't know this post came out on RPS. Nice trailer, it says Games for Windows Live at least in the end. Trailer should've mentioned Steve Gaynor's name at the end, that was a slight disappointment.

The Idle Thumbs Podcast Episode 12: The Silken Goku
Kolzig replied to Jake's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
True, with the name Achievements first announced for Xbox in end of May 2007 for Halo 2 and in late 2007 added to Steam first to Orange Box. Sweet episode, shame that it's all ending (again) soon... One more (episode 13) to go and then it's over I guess. I do hope though that the PAX chat will make it's way to the net also, in mp3 form or Wizardvideo form. Did you guys know that there used to be some video game company called Wizard Video Games? -
Idle Thumbs 38 of the original podcast. If you put "Nintendo Horsebag" on Google, it gives you Idle Thumbs related stuff for the first three links.

Is anybody a sad human like me, and have not played any LucasArts adventure games?
Kolzig replied to Snooglebum's topic in Video Gaming
Not that much added content, but still worthy of a purchase, even though I just few days ago downloaded the free ScummVM enhanced version from GoG. I cut the end of the quote to leave it "spoiler free". -
The "leaked" images look great! Catwoman looks like a sex object, but that's pretty much typical comic book female character alright. Redesign of Harley looks interesting and I like it and it's of course much in the same way of Catwoman, but to me still doesn't look as good as it could be. I can't quite say it, but Harley Quinn could look even better. Two Face on the other hand looks perfect!

Ooh, I'm really getting interested, Amazon.com had a separate page for international shipping of Kindle and the Euro charger costs 5 dollars only if you add that to the Kindle deal. How does the free 3G thing work, I was checking and I couldn't find the list of the 100 countries that are supported? Wi-Fi I can get in many places so that's not a problem.

I watched yesterday Stranger on the Third Floor. The movie is said to apparently be one of the first film noir style movies. It was 65 minutes of pure perfection, I liked everything about it. Peter Lorre was billed as the main star even though he had only a side role. He was amazing in this. The movie is short and there are not that many different locations for scenes, but the actors make the worthwhile. Great performances from Lorre and McGuire.

My wishes were granted and my hopes are becoming true. Christopher Lloyd returns to the world of video games! Also cool that Bob Gale is in the project, though I don't think he will do much if he is just a consult. More likely he will just give advices if in need and Telltale team makes most of the work by themselves. Oh I would really like to be in the voice recording studio when Lloyd is there to act his part. Hopefully they can get some good voice actor to be Marty McFly. Getting Michael J. Fox is pretty much impossible I think.

That is awesome, it propably means that Beneath the Steel Sky DC is coming also to Steam. Got to get ready for purchase! -
Well, I've been progressing superslowly and played up to 1x04, so I have a lot of games to play at some point. Shame that Telltale doesn't really have anything to offer to those loyal customers who bought the seasons with the full price. Usual discount offers are always something that most already own. Like now you can get all three seasons for the price of one. Of course I should propably question why I bought the seasons on day one when I'm still in the middle of the first season and I got ToMI also on the to-do list.

Is it possible to get this Kindle 3 in Finland? Amazon is a bit tricky with everything else except books, movies and video games. When is the third Kindle coming out? That looks really sweet and with such a low price point, it certainly looks like a device I could own.

Wasn't Charles Cecil the guy who said adventure games are dead? The last two Broken Swords were quite bad, I remember waiting for the 3rd to be released and then it was pile of turd that many adventure "fanatics" raved about being great. Or maybe I remember wrong, but that game was a big disappointment. The fourth was even more worse and I never played it, except for the demo? Revolution was supposed to make a sequel to Beneath the Steel Sky, but after they lost their money because of weak Broken Sword sequels(?), they fired most of their staff if I remember correctly and put their aim in making smaller projects = remakes of earlier games. -
Fake Chris Remo?

I'm not talking about Takeshi's Castle. I know Fūun! Takeshi-jō, but that was just a comedy show. The show I'm talking about was some ironman type of competition show.

Nice! I had no idea they released this on PC. I knew that Broken Sword director's cut finally made it's way to PC, but this was a nice surprise. BtSS is my favourite Revolution adventure game. -
To me this show has always seemed like a 100% copy of this one Japanese show from a few years ago that was axed because some guy died while running in some crazy and stupid obstacle track.

I've been losing quickly my interest in the game since reading various reviews. for example the RPS take on it I read first. I thought the demo was interesting and really well done. I totally fell in love with the beautiful city and it's scenery and it made me want to play the full game, but user reviews and site reviews are quickly turning my opinion to not playing this game.

A really cool idea to have that guitar, but I unfortunately am not willing at the moment to put in a lot of money for a guitar. I was hoping something like this would happen with the Rock Band franchise and now it's really going the way of teaching people how to play the real guitar, while playing a video game.

We've been watching lately just the movies they show on tv, like two days ago we watched this one Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon movie called Premonition. It was quite ok movie actually, reminded me quite a lot about Memento, but wasn't even nearly as great as Memento was. I had this weird feeling that I had never seen the movie before, but still there was something strange about everything. Then in the end I had this déjà vu feeling that yes I have seen this before. I apparently watched this two years ago or so, but just forgot about it... Yesterday I watched for maybe the third time War of the Worlds remake by Steven Spielberg. I really don't like this movie at all and I don't know why I watched it again. My wife hadn't seen it before and thought it was pretty much a crappy movie also. I think that was actually the reason I ended up watching it again. I do like the original War of the Worlds movie though, saw it maybe three-four years ago.

I never played that actually, I've propably played all other games that they made, even the Horror Soft games. I think that slow walking was *a feature* in Adventure Soft games.
