I have not actually played Sonic 4 ep 1 yet, so that may save a lot for Mr. Hedgehog and Sega. I don't think Sonic Advance 1 and Sonic Rush are a lot like, but I might be wrong as my experience with Sonic Advance 1 was less than 30 minutes and Sonic Rush I grinded through back when it was new and I sold the game right after that because it didn't deserve a place in my gaming shelf. I don't think Sonic is shit, at least it should not be shit when treated properly. It is a good character that had good games. Especially Sonic 2 on the Megadrive.

This is not about Sonic 4, but about Sonic Colors/Colours. I couldn't be bothered to give that game it's own thread as Sega clearly has not learned anything from their past mistakes. What is with the horrible autotuned crappy music? PrmdU6x6Nco They've had a big problem creating good music for Sonic games ever since the Dreamcast era began. Also why does Sonic still have to speak? Haven't they learned that at least the English audio is always horrible, has been since Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast... I tried the DS version demo of Sonic Colours from the Nintendo Channel and I had the same feeling about that gameplay as I had about Sonic Rush. Not a very good game, the homing attack is something that of course doesn't need to be used, but I've never been a fan of this feature. The level layouts seemed pretty messy, even though some level layouts in old Sonic games were also quite "everywhere" and not always so linear looking. My problem is most likely that I value Sonic 1-3+Sonic&Knuckles so high that all these later attempts feel quite mediocre after 5 minutes of playing. Though I recently dug up old copy of Sonic Advance for Gameboy Advance and that was pretty good actually. I've read a lot of people saying that Sonic Colours for Wii is the best Sonic game in a long time, I can't say anything about that as I've only seen the youtube videos with autotuned musics.

I watched They Live yesterday. 1988 movie made by John Carpenter. Movie is starring Roddie Piper, who I guess was a big clown wrestling guy once. The plot is amazing, though a bit slow as things start going to full gear only towards the end of this 94 minute movie. This movie will tell you the true reason why global warming is happening. The reason why I discovered this movie was a regarding a scene where some famous words are being spoken that GeorgeB3DR & co. took to use in Duke Nukem 3D also. The idea behind this movie can still be very much discussed today as gathering money and greed is reality very much still today, so the message is still valid.

I am not going to write a misleading title that will get you excited for nothing

I want to sell the t-shirt by the way, it's still in almost new condition as I've only worn it once years ago, propably will put it to auction in eBay or a local site like Huuto.net. -
Is there actually anyone working at Lucasarts anymore with the exception of Clint Hocking? Again they "let go" aka fired around 50 people working on an unannounced game that will propably never be done now. Is Clint even there anymore or was he let go also? Game industry sucks so much these days.

PC release is coming soon in two weeks and so far Steve aka Mr.Minecraft, Captain Viridian from VVVVV, Josef from Machinarium, Half Life 2 Headcrab and Goo ball from World of Goo have been reveiled as the extra exclusive characters. Seems Headcrab will be in the Steam version and Goo ball in the non-Steam version. Still two characters to be unveiled next week for the PC release. It's pretty cool that all versions will have their own characters, but very nuts for some people that want to propably own all versions then to have all the characters. I wonder what characters will the Wii version have, in that sense it's a bit weird that Commander Video is in all versions instead of just the Wii version as Commander Video has been the character of one of the most important Wiiware flagship game series. Steam is supposed to have from 23rd November a pre-order bonus that you get it 33% cheaper if you pre-order SMB.

Yes, I was questioning this couple of days ago that who needs artists anymore, when you can just put a hologram on stage with a synthetisized voice coming from a voicebank.

I just wish the age ratings were not that big in the cover, they kind of ruin the bottom area of the cover...

I'm very much interested in RB3 and so is my wife, but we are still in the middle of RB2 career mode for Wii and we haven't even played that in a while so it might take quite long before we'll get RB3.

I wanted to buy that from a local supermarket 12-14 years ago as a Virgin White Label re-release if I remember correctly. The premise seemed really interesting, but this one game that I actually end up not buying for some reason. I always got a strong Blade Runner feel from just looking at the box and the background art pics.

I watched during the weekend Anvil! The story of Anvil. It was propably the best metal related documentary movie I've ever seen. Really touching movie that shows basically couple of Canadian guys in the 50's who don't want to give up on their dream of performing to big audiences after being famous for a moment 25 years earlier and then getting lost and dropping out of people's radars. What I learned from that movie was that the world is a shitty place, but Japanese people never seize to amaze with their hardcore attitude and honesty.

I used to refresh the forums all the time to find new comments in threads some years ago, and I'm not kidding.

Propably Steam and GoG have helped a lot to sell Psychonauts. Would be really interesting to see actual numbers between boxed copy sales and digital download sales. I bought from US the boxed copy back in the day from Gamestop and got a pretty ugly hippie style Psychonauts shirt as pre-order bonus and last winter I bought Psychonauts from Steam for $5. So at least I bought it twice. -
He used to make money with some tax loopholes in the German tax laws, but I think those were fixed a year or two ago. These days he has some new ways of making money propably. I doubt that they get that much money out of ticket sales and dvd sales that they would make a lot of profit. Propably he has some new loophole in use.

Apparently you can already buy the soundtrack of the game? Amazon Also the official webpages are still saying that it's coming out "later this year". Hmm, I happened to pop in at Adventuregamers after a very long hiatus from there, apparently Gray Matter has been released in Europe this week in Germany at least, with german and english audio tracks. So I guess pigs can truly fly. Gray Matter finally released and Duke coming out next year, weird times... There is no digital download however, and US release is apparently pushed to february. This is the limited edition/collector's edition of the game: http://astore.amazon.de/wwwdtpagcom-21/detail/B003ZHIDL8

R6qDMv21g So what is this, both Sean and Jake in action. This done a few months ago at PAX I guess and the other one with Sean is fairly recent. This one seems to be pretty chaotic.

I had this game on my wanted list a long time ago. The game has changed developers so many times and dropped of any radars that I have almost no faith in it, even though for old times sake I would really like to see a new game written by Jane Jensen. Is it actually for real coming fall 2010 this time?

I think it's time for me to upgrade my PC... Suggestions?

Do not get Vista. -
Those two episodes are propably me and couple of my friends ultimate most favourite Simpsons episodes they ever made.

They should add there that in heaven gameplay is made by Nintendo and in hell gameplay is made by modern Sega.

Totally derailing CoD: BLOPS, but I was googling something yesterday randomly and suddenly came up with some old post of Ron Gilbert's at Grumpygamer from 2004/2005, in there 90% of the comments were of Yufster and Kingz using the comments area as their personal message board. I'm personally quite tired with games like MoH and CoD. I was also hoping these wouldn't sell.

I think we still have that crap as a filler in the Finnish MTV3 and Nelonen channels during times when no actual programs are on the air.

Slightly disappointing that I did not have time to search for Die Weinhändler in Hamburg last week...
