Yeah, I know you and many others are the old guys of AG and Mojo, but I will always remember the time when Idle Thumbs was unveiled. I too (user id 28) was around there during the old site before it was taken over or something like that and the new adventuregamers.com was created. I remember a lot of the history of Idle T and AG. Crap, it wasn't leather jackets, it was rubber lifeboats. So I remembered the original Indy quote and not your version of it.

Gamasutra used to have good comments discussions going on all the time, but I haven't seen stuff like that in a while.

Has it really been seven years already? All I remember is that some King's Jester came selling fine leather jackets at adventuregamers forums and so I arrived to the new shiny site filled with great opinions and at time awesome news posts. Man, adventuregamers, I haven't really visited that site in ages.

You got a point there,

Shacknews and Kotaku in their current state look like shit. I use a news reader on my phone to check mostly RPS, Eurogamer and Gamasutra. Occasionally I do still include RSS' of Shack, Kotaku and Joystiq, but I don't like to visit the actual sites of those three. Giant Bomb I don't go to, but I do have their Giant Bomb application on my Android, though the news and reviews don't update that frequently so I don't know are those always really working. The videos do seem to get updated daily so those are fun to watch while on the move.

I think that was somehow explained in the first episode, right?

I finished Back to the Future: Double Visions, episode 4. This one was good, but not as good as episode 3, that was the highest point Telltale has reached so far. I'm hoping the final episode will be the greatest. More thoughts are in BttF's thread.

Finished the fourth episode. Wasn't as good as the previous Citizen Kane Brown episode, but still better than for example the first one which was pretty mediocre. The length of the episode is about the same as the other episodes. I am continously amazed how good imitator AJ LoCascio is. Really nice performance in each episode. The DeLorean looks really weird because I noticed that the wheels are not moving when the car moves. At least not at the school when Doc arrives. Really weird. I didn't notice this before in the earlier episodes so I'm not sure is it only in this one or in all of these. I can't wait to see what happens in the final episode, even though from the end teaser I already got really curious ideas about it!

Yeah, my comment was basically just a sidenote, I'm not really wanting to have games on usb sticks. I was in Helsinki and I was checking the prices at verkkokauppa.com and those have come way down recently.

I have to disagree on that. I already played a more interesting "shooter" this year and two more interesting ones are coming later this year, that's just me and my opinion though. But anyways for me this would give nothing. I'm not interested anymore in all-in multiplayer games, with the exception of Quake Live. No doubt Splash Damage is talented, I put countless hours in playing Wolf:ET, which was one of the best MP games I played. That was a sweet game and I'm still surprised that Activision gave that out for free, would never happen in today's market where Kotick is ruling with an iron fist.

32GB usb sticks are already like only 40 euros and will cost even less in the future.

Maybe they will pull a Far Cry 2 and make it totally different from the previous games. New guy, new setting and yes, the grenades will roll uphill now. Or maybe they will make it a space marine horror love story rpg fps in space, the moon might be involved also.

Oh man, I had so much fun this weekend. I was reading my friend basically liveblogging his first playthrough of Portal 2. After every stage he was basically blogging to me on ICQ what he was thinking and what happened. In a true IGN fashion he said

Conduit 2 however is a pile of steaming shit. The first one was at least ok with a crappy story and solid voice acting (Kevin Sorbo! ), but the second one utterly destroys the really smooth controlling scheme they had for the first one and also they got some douchebags doing the voice acting and the main character is acted out like trying to be like Duke Nukem junior. How is it even possible to totally fuck up the controls when those were the best part of the first one that they totally got working?

I never really realized that PSP is so thick and huge. It's like a brick, but the screen is pretty sweet, really nice big size. The UMD discs are quite horrible, and the disc drive is slightly noisy when the disc spins. I have now Little Big Planet which is really awesome. I've never followed the PS3 games at all, but I salute the decision to take Stephen Fry as the narrator! Fry means it can never fail! I'm laughing my ass of with his dialogue. This was mainly done by SCE Cambridge and Media Molecule only assisted them, at least according to the credits, but seems the PSP version is very solidly done. Also bought Loco Roco and Patapon while I was on my trip. Loco Roco is just pure happiness and fun. Patapon and God of War I have not yet tested, but those time will come. Thanks Sno, I checked up a little bit on Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and it looks very much interesting. I ordered Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for 11 euros, should arrive in a week or so.

Long silence ends and Rayman Origins has now changed into a full retail game, sadly still only for Xbox and Playstation. Release window at the end of this year. No Steam release in sight. It's good that the game gets a full retail release, Ancel gets more space to use art assets etc.

Not going to get excited about this. Not at least until the final unveiling happens in E3. Some of the rumours seem to be so bogus stuff.

Rush gig was awesome sauce! It lasted 3h 15 minutes and at one point in their half time video they were dressed up as the fucking wizards. I wish I had a video clip or a picture of that as proof but sadly I do not. Rush is amazing, and Neil Peart is one damn great drummer.
-
Time to see Rush for the second time in my life today so I'm off to Helsinki. Come on Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart! Rock on!

I was at home and just happened to turn the tv on and right at the moment I turned it on the first plane had hit the tower. I immediately called my friend who was in the Finnish army at that time and as I was speaking to him I saw the second one hit on live tv and I was disgusted, shocked and just lost. I was just thinking what the fuck is going on? Miffy, that's a real shame for Canada... it's really strange that people had the chance to change things and still somehow the same guy stays in power. That really should be illegal.

I am eyeing a doublewhammy of Metroid Prime Trilogy and Metroid: Other M for 36 euros. Is it worth it? I think it's very much worth to go for it.

Well... I bought a PSP 3004 then. Despite the recent PSN happenings. My console comes with LittleBigPlanet and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. I'm going to search for the cheapest prices for all the good stuff. The Hut at least had lots of PSP games for sale recently. Does anyone have LittleBigPlanet for PSP? I'd really like to hear some reliable user reviews about that and you guys I trust the most.

And now the internet is in flames talking about Osama being dead already years ago. Internet

I think the free summer DLC will bring the advanced maps into play.

I'm hoping to start Double Visions tomorrow, didn't have any time during the weekend except I installed the game on friday.
