  1. Agh, don't get my hopes up. I went to check Amazon UK and at the moment the cheapest Killer 7 GC PAL I could find was 35 pounds without shipping costs included... I've never seen Killer 7 with a cheap price tag anywhere.
  2. Collector's/Special Editions

The only collector editions I have are Tales from Monkey Island Duke Nukem Forever Maybe Darwinia, I'm not really sure if it can be considered as a special edition. Also I have the Sam & Max season sets with extra junk inside. I really don't know what I will do in the end with all the big boxes, because those take a lot of space and I mostly just use/check everything once and then it's just on the shelf until the end of times.
  3. General Video Game Deals Thread

Well crap, I would've bought the game for that price. Well, maybe it comes back during Christmas sales. Was there anything fun during the Steam summer sale, I was in Japan during that time so I have no idea if they have anything interesting? Pretty much only thing that comes to my mind besides Capsized is the original vanilla Half-Life that I would like to buy with a discounted price. I bought the Humble Indie Bundle 3 about a day before the Steel Storm was added. It was quite a surprise to get the mail that HIB2 was to be also included in the pack and I did open my wallet to give them much more money than what was the bottom limit to get HIB2 as a bonus.
  4. Life

Holy shit that is such awesome text to read. I really hope you can make it and get there mate! Japan is quite a crazy place in good and bad way. Especially your future working place would be in Tokyo of all places. Man that place is huge and crazy. Every time I go there to the different areas of the megacity, it just makes my heart race and my eyes cry tears of joy and sadness at the same time. There's way too many people there, but then everything is so amazing, unique and just mind blowing that it's like a drug. What does the Tokyo American Club do by the way? If I went there at some point for good, I would propably live as a net cafe hobo while my wife would propably get work immediately anywhere with her resume. I do have to add that this has been an interesting summer, the summer is pretty much gone now so it's mainly rain and shit here in Western coast of Finland. I had super fun sick leave for the part that I went to Japan and it was 36 all the time and the cast in my hand was making my hand sweat like hell. We mostly stayed in Kanagawa, but we also had an amazing trip to Kusatsu to the mountains where some awesome onsen places are. It was quite something to go to onsen while wearing a cast, I propably wasn't even allowed because you are supposed to be totally naked there and not bring any bacteria in etc. but I just sneaked in with the cast in my hand covered by the only small towel you are given there. Now I'm back to work and the cast has been off since two weeks, my thumb is moving better, but is numb on the side, because apparently the good doctors made some nerve damage when they cut my hand. They say it SHOULD get better on it's own and the nerve damage should dissappear, but lets see. The thumb doesn't bend normally yet, but I hope it will in a month's time. On a really serious note, what the fuck is happening in England of all places?
  5. Movie/TV recommendations

You do know that Lynch didn't have much to do with the second season and some other guy was leading most of that? That's at least what I read years ago from materials regarding Twin Peaks. Have I been mislead? Weeeell, ThunderPeel said it better. I should've read all the unread comments first before making my comments. We have been watching surprisingly lot of movies during the past two weekends. I think 3-4 per weekend. Last weekend we watched two Japanese movies, Shall we Dance and Tokyo Sonata. The first one was pretty much awesome, I could never have imagined that you can make a great movie about old school dancing. The main character is great, even though is his motive at first is questionable, but what will depressed people do to change their lives. Tokyo Sonata then again was unbelievably depressing. After that movie I really felt depressed, Tokyo Sonata had as one of the main characters the same actor, Kagawa Teruyuki who had a big supportive role in Ryomaden, the story of Sakamoto Ryoma. Gah, it really saddens me that I'm still missing "the fourth and final season" of Ryomaden. Dumb guy needs the subtitles and only couple of episodes have been done so far... I haven't found any dvd set that would include subtitles...
  6. Rage

I am more and more thinking about pre-ordering Rage. Also I am more and more thinking about taking a week or two off in October when Rage is released. I still got my whole five weeks of vacation left because of the sick leave.
  7. VVVVVV 2.0!

I finally got this and several others gems with the Humble Indie Bundle 3. Have to get playing it at some point, I love this game, I had so much fun and pain with the demo version.
  8. Eric Chahi's Project Dust

Well, if you buy it from Steam for example, you always have to be online anyway, right?
  9. Iron Brigade

Ron's game should have it's own thread by now. Somebody should just give it a funny name first. I hope at least that one ends up on PC.
  10. Sno, the only commercial Quake TC I pretty much remember is Quake Malice. It had a scifi theme, but maybe doesn't otherwise match with your description.
  11. iPhone/iTouch gaming

Ahh, it depresses me greatly that the id Software games are not for Android. They put all Wolfenstein and Doom games on discount now during Quakecon.
  12. DeathSpank

I had all the time feeling after the first game came out that there was something weird happening at Hothead. The second game especially coming out the way it did felt to me that ok Ron is not there doing that project anymore. So the original vision propably changed quite a lot from what it was supposed to be. Also I will not be buying the Baconing whatever thing even when it comes to sale. Just don't care when the brains behind the project is not there anymore. But I am still happy that they did release especially the first one on PC. Even though that seemed to be quite a hellish task also to get it out for PC.
  13. Ocarina of Time 3D

I had my first taste of the 3DS Ocarina of Time in Japan. There were demo units in various department stores and game shops and I played around with the demo machines. The game played really smoothly and I really liked the 3D effect they built in Ocarina. The aiming with the gyro felt very natural to me. This seems to be the best game so far for 3DS, it's a shame I didn't have a chance to try out Starfox 64 3D, they had just released that and the absolutely fantastic looking red 3DS. Now with the price going down soon I might go for the red one when it eventually comes to Europe. God damn region locking, that really pisses me off now and forever. Is there any news by the way about the red 3DS and it's western release?

  15. Google Plus aka Emerald Sea

Hey ho, I like to not be stalked. I added myself to the doc. I haven't posted even one public post yet because I don't like those. I've been using G+ with some old friends mostly. Like usual with new products we were goofing around for most of the time, but now it's turning into a more serious usage and I kind of like it. The Android mobile app sucks though, even after the latest update it's not possible to edit your posts or see a self uploaded video. It just opens videos as still images. Everything works on PC though. Youtube videos do work on mobile perfectly. I'm just saying that +Eric Schmidt should shape up and get his act together and fix the problems. Otherwise the mobile app and the normal website are really smooth.
  16. Embarrassing Awkward Nerd Confessions

The purple tentacle looks awesome. Sometimes I play around with the idea to show some Lucasarts artwork to my brothers wife, she is really talented and creative to make that kind of plushies.
  17. Fresh Indie Game Compendium Extraordinaire

Sky Island By: Armor Games (Gionathan Pesaresi & Filippo Vicarelli) Available: Free browser game at Neutronized Synopsis: If you know Fez, then you get the idea of Sky Island, you can turn the world around to see it from new angles, but the game's basic view is always 2D.
  18. Happy Birthday!

    Happy Birthday t'blix and Subbes!
  19. capcom doesn't want my money

I did try something like that when I used to have it, I propably pressed also A so that might be why it didn't work. I gave the game as a present to a friend last year so I can't try it anymore. EDIT: I asked the friend and he tested that with Mario Kart GBA and it did work. I guess I did something wrong when I had the game.
  20. capcom doesn't want my money

Mario Kart GBA. There was no way that I could reset what was achieved.
  21. Recently completed video games

I completed yesterday Back to the Future episode 5 so now that is complete. It was a delight to hear MJ Fox acting a few roles there. All in all the season was ok, but Telltale's QA department seriously needs to step up and start working better. The game stopping bug in BttF ep 5 was something that made me really pissed during the weekend. I have also recently completed Duke Nukem Manhattan Project, this happened just before I had my hand surgery. This was a really solid sidescroller game. I had it for years and never really went all the way through, but this time I finished it and it was a delight. It took things from the two original sidescrollers and made it even better.
  22. Prince of Persia 3: The Clunky Ass

Did you write already a review about Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame, aka PoP2? I'd really like to hear your take on that. I believe that PoP3D was really bad, I remember playing it or a demo of it once a really long time ago and it was so horrible.
  23. Back to the Future

The glass house bug that you can't interact with anything when you go in there. Can't exit and can't go further in the story. I downloaded the updated installer exe and it worked and I completed it earlier today.
  24. Back to the Future

I love the game stopping bug in the Glass House. Restarting the game is supposed to help to get the highlighted item to appear correctly but I really don't want to start the game from the beginning. How is a bug like this even possible to slip through the finished game? I get the feeling that the game is much more shiny in the last one, like Telltale has done some upgrades to the engine, am I right or wrong about this? Other weird bug happened when EDIT: Ahah, apparently there is already a patched version available, I have to download that, hopefully the saves still work in the new version.
  25. BioShock Infinite

They've releasing these kind of videos after E3. I wonder when a full E3 video trailer would be released, I think only these Levine videos have released, right? gbEFXCF90rc
