  1. Yesterday morning I was just going through Kickstarter projects totally by random and suddenly I saw Turrican, my all time favourite Amiga game mentioned. I clicked and oh what I noticed, a Kickstarter project regarding the musics of Turrican games by Chris Hülsbeck, the man who worked with Rainbow Arts and Factor 5. Turrican Soundtrack Anthology, at least 3 CDs limited collection set and digital download featuring all of the musics of the Turrican games with best possible audio quality. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chris-huelsbeck/turrican-soundtrack-anthology-by-chris-huelsbeck I pledged my share and would pledge more, but recent developments like rising amount of other good Kickstarter projects and upcoming summer vacation trip are taking a big piece of my budgets.
  2. Epic Mickey

Not exactly unbiased source of a website, but: http://mynintendonews.com/2012/04/26/warren-spector-scared-of-next-gen-costs-praises-nintendo/ “Honestly? I don’t care much about hardware. Nintendo games are some of the best games in the world and from a more graphical standpoint, the Wii can’t do what a PS3 or 360 can do.” “It’s about design and not so much about tech for me. Honestly, I’m more scared about what will come next than I am excited.” Oh yeah and first video of the 3DS game was released in the beginning of the week! It also has some familiar Spector hype included. _bxq7gd7LRU
  3. Chris Hülsbeck's Turrican Kickstarter

YES, budget goal of $75000 reached today! 37 days to go, so my hope now is that the extra budget for the ultimate 4th CD compilation will be next goal and it shall be reached.
  4. Amanita Design and GOG: This could get ugly.

Hmm yeah, I noticed the email also yesterday. Not a really nice move, GoG probably isn't happy about this latest development again. But I personally bought the HIB so I can't complain, new stuff is always appreciated.
  5. I have just played around with the Minecraft Pocket version, especially now with tablet and bigger screen it's much more comfortable to control and play. I guess mobile and PC versions don't work together, at least yet? Would be fun to visit idlemc to really see what you guys have been building.
  6. Oh hi, welcome to Thumbs! So you are the guy in my Steam list.
  7. The Walking Dead

Yes, the idea I got from the Q&A videos and Episodes videos was that if you read the comics, you will get more out of the game. Meet characters of the comics before Rick meets them and so on. As I have understood the games are in the comics world, but not in the same time and place as Rick, but he will meet some familiar characters. "No need to read the comics in order to play the games, but you will notice little stuff if you have read." something like that I remember Sean and/or Jake saying in the Playing Dead episodes.
  8. Zorro Joins Double Fine

I had a feeling something like this would happen eventually after move back to SF. Huge congrats to Chris! You are The Man! And a big thank you to Tim, he certainly hired an awesome guy to his firm. EDIT: Haha, now I saw the posting at Double Fines pages, awesome shirt! :tup:People always ask me what the fuck is that shirt when I wear it to work.
  9. New people: Read this, say hi.

    Hey! Welcome back Jazhara!
  10. The Walking Dead

I have made a decision to buy Sean's and Jake's The Walking Dead, but only after I've read the comics. I have so far only seen all episodes of the tv show, but I have made a conclusion that I shall read first all the comics before diving in the game, I hear that the comic is already in it's #76 issue? I read today the first one today so project has started! Wot, is it so that you get a Steam key even if you buy from Telltale shop? Is that also for the older games that I already own through Telltale's pages or only for new series or just special occasions? Why is the game still available for pre-order $22.49 at Telltale's webpage if it was released on the 24th already?
  11. The Walking Dead

Ahh, if only I could get a Steam key for all the Telltale series and games I've bought from Telltale's shop and vice versa. It annoys me in certain way that Telltale's games are now for me in two different places... I have everything from Telltale's own shop except Puzzle Agent 2 and that I have just in Steam. I just noticed Walking Dead pre-order started in Steam.
  12. Doom The Roguelike

http://doom.chaosforge.org/ I was playing Legend of Grimrock and bunch of other games, but I had to just stop when a friend sent me a link to the website of Doom The Roguelike. Doom played in the way of Nethack. Oh hell yeah! I haven't been able to play anything else today really, this is too addictive!
  13. Wasteland 2

hmm, yeah I forgot how that worked, sorry about that. Also you are not forced to give 5% of the profit even if you pledge to do that originally with Kicking it Forward, but that will make the dev look like an ass if they don't give 5%.
  14. Doom The Roguelike

My friend has been going at this at even crazier pace than me. I think he didn't sleep for four days or something because he keeps posting me updates on how the game is going. Next he will probably go with higher difficulty.
  15. Wasteland 2

2,933,147 dollars from Kickstarter plus over 100 000 dollars from Paypal. Quite nice budget for the Wasteland 2 guys. So about 150 000 dollars will go to the Kicking it Forward initiative. That's very cool.
  16. BioShock 2

I desperately want to play Minerva's Den, but I'm waiting for the main game to drop in price. I'll gladly pay full price for the DLC in this case even if Hot Scoops doesn't get a penny about it anymore, but for the main game I really don't care at all.
  17. The Walking Dead

So I was right, now I can go to sleep in peace, it's 4:00 in the morning here.
  18. The Walking Dead

Hmm, could be as I haven't listen to Irrational podcasts in quite a long time, but I still think it's some generic ESRB voice.
  19. The Walking Dead

I think that voice is some default voice used for these ESRB notices, as I remember hearing this same voice always in the beginning of the Irrational podcasts for example. Also, yay for Doug!
  20. http://steamcommunity.com/id/kolzig/ Here's mine, I'm boring. I play mostly single player games.
  21. Fez

I just have to keep on playing Sky Island while I wait for the MS exclusivity deal to end. I guess it's one year of waiting like usual? http://www.kongregate.com/games/Neutronized/sky-island
  22. Epic Mickey

Eurogamer's preview about the so called main game: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-04-13-epic-mickey-the-power-of-two-preview-back-to-the-wasteland I want a similar big preview about the 3DS game!
  23. I was ready to post on the other very recent thread, but I see we have this one now. Downloaded Grimrock yesterday and started playing immediately. Feels like a very solid game. i only played around 30 minutes as I couldn't stay up the whole night due to starting really, really late... I don't have past experiences with Dungeon Master or Eye of the Beholder so this feels totally new to me.
  24. Putt-Putt on the... iPhone?

Yes exactly. That's the game and Shelley Day was the person.
  25. And Pandora's Tower is finally coming out this week on friday in Europe. US release probably happens later as the other two huge rpg releases also have found their way to Nintendo of America release schedules. Can't wait for Pandora's Tower also. Really great that US isn't left out of experiencing the two (and hopefully also the third) last great rpg games on the Wii. I hope a lot of people buy these.
