  1. Happy Birthday!

    Happy birthday Mr Tpeel!
  2. Well, Thumbs

Why is facebook constantly tracking this thread?
  3. yeah, I still also have not received mine. You probably started from the highest tiers first, right?
  4. The Walking Dead

This might very well be the biggest and most successful project for Telltale so far? I don't remember hearing this big numbers from even Sam & Max? I wonder did the numbers came mostly from which platform and how many of these were season purchases and how many episode purchases? Congrats to Sean and Jake & the team! I hope someday in the future Sean and Jake will make an original ip game series for Telltale, but Telltale as a company still isn't ready to take the leap of faith away from licensed properties.
  5. Jane Jensen's Pinkerton Road CSG Kickstarter

Yeah, the game will be available most likely everywhere in digital marketplaces. Just that the price will be higher I presume. I still have to read through their pitch and the updates, I'm thinking about pledging in an amount, but haven't had time to really familiarize myself with Jane Jensen's project.
  6. Favorite early cancelled TV series

Thanks Thunderpeel for explaining all that. Nice to hear some interesting details about those shows. I didn't know much of the small details.
  7. Dishonored - or - GIFs By Breckon

Yes, but the hole was my hole in the schedule, it doesn't need to be a hole in general for everyone. I should've stated that more clearly I suppose.
  8. Beyond Better & Evil!

Well, even the first teaser with the broken vehicle, Jade and Pey'j hinted that things would get yellow and brown at least at some point of the game. But anyways, this kind of desert town is only going to be one planet in the game, didn't Ancel say already ages ago that he wants BG&E2 to be what the first one never could be, so different planets and space travel etc.
  9. Favorite early cancelled TV series

Hmm yes, but the dvd releases say Fox, so Fox was the parent company yes? WB was just the channel showing it? Or did I get something wrong?
  10. Dishonored - or - GIFs By Breckon

Release date was announced today. Is going to come in October 9th. Maybe this will replace the empty hole that was left by Chris Remo's Ken Levine's Bioshock Infinite.
  11. Jane Jensen's Pinkerton Road CSG Kickstarter

Wow that's a lot of DF related posts that I had no idea about until now. Better start checking that DF forum then in the future. I haven't really been checking the backer forums there.
  12. Somebody deleted one of my posts in this thread? Oh well... This is almost as weird thread as one African bible email from Nigeria that I got in my Gmail spam folder last week.
  13. Hmm, there is however no mention when that press event will be. I like the two headed babies skeleton!
  14. Survey

Answered, those were good questions. Good luck on the project!
  15. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

Doesn't show much yet, but looks interesting in any case. Looking forward to hear more Scoops about this one in the future.
  16. Carmageddon: Kickstart

Is this Tim Schafer? EDIT: And I didn't yet watch the video when I posted originally this so apparently it is.
  17. Alan Wake

Just couldn't resist buying it now. Collector's edition is 15.99€ in Steam right now and in GoG $14.99. GoG version is missing the soundtrack. I originally wanted to get the retail version with the real Alan Wake files book, but I'll have to settle for the pdf now, that will be nice to read with my tablet anyway.

To me the army season was the worst season of Buffy, didn't like much of it. Every else was really great. It's really finely built show, except for the preparation for cancellation at the end of 2nd season. Still somehow they rebuilt the story arcs after that really nicely with the entrance of Faith. At least I remember reading stories that Buffy was close to getting the axe during the second season. Whedon shows seem to always step on the edge. That's one thing that has always been strange to me, Joss Whedon probably already new after Buffy and Angel that and especially after Firefly that Fox is an ass of a network. Why again go with Dollhouse to them? Of course if no other network was even slightly interested then that tells everything.
  19. Neither have I, but I presume they are sending out the surveys in batches so we'll receive those at some point in the near future.
  20. Ar there any news regarding when the names and addresses will be asked from backers?
  21. Post your face!

Don't care for Finnish university student overalls in general, but you get thumbs up because of that DF doubleheaded baby patch.
  22. Deus Ex 3

It's a reference to Paul Verhoeven's classic movie Robocop.
  23. Stacking

Hmm, what the hell? I thought that I bought Stacking already when it was released on PC, but I apparently still don't own it. I had to double check all my email accounts and my Steam account history to be sure. I have to fix this error.
  24. Hot Scoops, Inc.

Awesome! Great to hear again good news relating to Thumbs guys. I really need to play Minerva's Den someday, I just hope the main game would get cheaper in Steam. Isn't it so that Minerva is only possible to be bought through GFWL?

Well, Firefly and Dollhouse were already said, so other shows I remember that were cancelled: Tru Calling, another show starring Eliza Dushku, had a bad start, around 10 episodes from the beginning was just the same, but when they introduced Jason Priestley's character the show started really getting interesting. They had a full first season and were greenlighted for a second season, but after they had filmed five episodes of the new season and getting ready to broadcast it in tv, suddenly the tv channel pulled the plug on the show. I have the whole show on dvd and the second season felt really like that season they would rrally made it great. another show I remember was MTV's Downtown, there are only 13 episodes of that show. it was an animated show with a guy who looked a lot like Guybrush in Curse of Monkey Island, but with glasses.
