  1. Awesome, that means that I will be taking a day or two off from work in January. I'm going to dedicate those days for The Cave.
  2. I can't wait for the release of this! Is it really coming already in January? So close, so close...
  3. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

I'm pissed that the Finnish toy company Amo hasn't provided any demo machines of WiiU. And they should advertise more also. We don't even have proper Nintendo involvement in Finland or Club Nintendo presence... I would like to test Wii U somewhere, but I don't see myself buying it in the near future. 3DS XL seems more likely at this point.
  4. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

I think they will change the account behaviour in the future, because the 3DS will be tied to the Wii U account so that they are one and same. Just in the start it seems like it's quite shitty and limited. Future system updates will fix this.
  5. Your first gaming device...

Poster wasn't done by me, but I loved it! I spread those around in the town. Hopefully people saw those and actually decided to come along and check out what was there. There was a lot of people, more than there was in spring about half year ago. I was supposed to test all the devices out there, but "got stuck" playing Commodore Amiga 1200 modded with turbo and 64mb memory and playing Sensible World of Soccer and Skidmarks with a friend who was there for the first time. We sat in front of the mighty Amiga for like three hours so that took most of our time. I managed to score 99690 points in Nintendo World Championship and got the fourth place in a traditional competition they have there. It's was something like played with a euro NES console and US Nintendo World Championship re-issue cartridge. They told me the time is shorter and the game has some graphics bugs and you can't score as much points as people normally would. I anyway got about 18000 points more than at spring so that was cool. I'll attach some nice pictures that one guy took there. I'm the guy with the blue t-shirt in the last picture who's face is not completely visible due to the huge television in front eating my face off, we are just in the middle of Sensible Soccer game there I suppose.
  6. Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight 2012

Brazen was quite nice, they should you know... Kickstart it perhaps? I really liked the monster animation style. Really, really reminded me about the old adventure movies of Harryhousen. I too remember seeing those as a kid. Three of the four I voted for got picked in the final four. At this point I don't get why Hack'n Slash got so many votes, but it will be a blast to see how the prototypes will end up being in two weeks from now. I doubt I will be checking the live stream that much. Is it going to be on all the time or just like some hours per day?
  7. VALVe money grab #134: Autumn Sale

Damn you Gabe Newell, damn you. Too many games bought now again, but I also stayed away from Dishonoured as it will surely go on even bigger sale at Christmas.
  8. Your first gaming device...

Ahh today is again the mighty retro event. I was last night putting the machines and televisions with the guys from the club. Can't wait, a few hours anymore and it starts. I'm such an apprentice when compared to the masters who are in the club.
  9. GOTY

My GOTY is Sean & Jake's The Walking Dead. It was just such a thrill ride and for me the countdown to tears is now over. I should've know that it's the Idle Thumbs guys who would achieve that.
  10. Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight 2012

I voted for seven games, but I first voted for only four as I thought that was the point. Silent But Deadly needs to be one of the four. Shine Run is like Shine Runner which has been already done for at least Android. That's strange. The concept is almost exactly the same except the vehicle is different. Not surprised to see that hasn't gotten votes. I didn't vote that.
  11. The Walking Dead

Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin. You damn guys made a fine game! You better be proud of the hellish ride of emotions you have created. My GOTY.cx of this year. Without a doubt and clearly the chosen one.
  12. Telltale Expanding in 2013

Hmm yeah, I can't see anything there at least now that would've lead to it being locked.
  13. Telltale Expanding in 2013

multimillion dollar Poker Night at the Inventory sequel confirmed. http://www.northbaybusinessjournal.com/64865/telltale-games-plans-major-expansion/
  14. The Walking Dead

Achievements for last episode are live in Steam, not checking those out closer as I don't want to get even a hint about spoilers, but yeah season end coming up real soon. I assume Sean is writing the last episode as he wrote the first and third also? Countdown to tears is reaching zero soon.
  15. New people: Read this, say hi.

    Welcome to the forums!
  16. Gone Home from The Fullbright Company

Phaedrus caught my eye immediately as well.
  17. The Walking Dead

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-11-15-the-walking-dead-concludes-next-week-on-all-platforms 21st November, bring it on.
  18. The Walking Dead

By the way, I started thinking about the competition Telltale had around the time the first episode came out. Did they announce at any point who won "the become a character in the game and then you will be zombified also"?
  19. How far will you go for a scary game?

I recently got Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth from Steam and I've started to replay it. Originally I had this as a physical copy, but I too got stuck somewhere in the middle of the game. I think it was due to some bug so I just forgot the game. Amnesia I also have in my Steam library, but I haven't had the courage to start it yet, I've heard that it is the scariest new game in a long time. Still my worst memory of playing a scary game is when I played Doom3 after it was released in 2003. I was playing it in the winter darkness period of Finland and I had my headphones on so I was totally immersed in to the world of Doom. While I was sneaking around in the dark corridors of Mars, my mom decided to pay a visit, I was at that time living at the family house, but in a separate downstairs apartment. She decided to walk slowly and silently in the darkness behind me and tap me on the shoulder without turning the lights on or shouting or anything. I seriously almost got a heart attack when she touched my shoulder. She said she had knocked on the door, but as I had not replied and she saw the light from the monitor through the window, she came in using their spare key. I did yell at her quite a lot because of that.
  20. Curiosity – What's Inside the Cube?

In the center of the cube is the true Secret of the Monkey Island.
  21. I believe it was Kangaroo Jack.
  22. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I have quit all the Zelda games I've ever played. I always get stuck in some part and then just can't find a solution on my own so I forget about the game. Also I quit Gabriel Knight 3 and have not completed it to this day. I played it back in 1999 and sometime after that and the game destroyed my save files twice so I said fuck this game. I should play it some day I suppose as me and couple of buddies of mine are still dreaming to some day go to Rennes-le-Chateau for a trip and just imagine we are still young 20 year old guys adventuring even though in reality we are all over 30 already.
  23. Snap! The funniest part about all this is that the text had to be removed in iOS store, but in Google's Play Store it has been since he first released it there and still is. https://play.google....re.dontlookback
  24. Curiosity – What's Inside the Cube?

This is exactly what is happening every day that I've tried in random to see this Molyneux hype engine extreme social experience extravaganza test. Got to admit, if the game is *really* being played by so many people like dear old Peter is hyping since the release, then people truly are monkeys I suppose. And I also have to admit that I am kind of curious to hear what is in the end. I'm sure it will be something that will be a huge letdown, like a picture of dog having a shit break or a text saying "Congrats, you made it to the center of the cube, now try my next awesome incredible test game when It's released on 1.3.2013. It will change your world" But I wouldn't pay for this and from the looks of what I've seen in screenshots I would test this only once if it would actually even start beyond the intro hype texts without crashing the connection. Also if you need to connect some Facebook account or something to this, I'm deleting it immediately.
