For a short time today, on this page was the final(?) name of PoP 2 revealed. http://www.us.playstation.com/games.aspx?id=SLUS-21022 I guess Ubisoft Montreal told them to remove it or something? The name was Prince of Persia: Warrior Within This was reported in Blue's news and Shacknews.

No, it's the opengl+windows support to Duke3d. It does not contain the actual game, at least it should not.
-
Cool, thanks. I'll check that tomorrow.

Fucking hell... Mafia was much better than that damn Hidden&Dangerous franchise! Well I hope they still continue the project someday in the future, because it doesn't say cancelled, but indefinitively postponed.

Nah, DNF uses the super secret 3d Realms Dukengine. It will blow everybodys mind away.

Was Duke3D's code released a couple of years ago? If so, has anyone done any interesting projects for it, like Doom has jDoom, Doom Legacy and zDoom.

This is MY thread! Three consecutive posts in a row in 9 days time... I just completed DooM3 about 20 minutes ago and I have to say that this is most likely the best game this year in my opinion.

Adventure thoughts by someone whose 'heart is not in it'
Kolzig replied to Intrepid Homoludens's topic in Video Gaming
At the moment I've advanced quite a bit in the game, and it just keeps on surprising me, and the art design is just unbelievably gorgeous, and when you get to *19th level* Your jaw will drop. I know mine did. I can't even imagine what id has in storage in the next levels. The pda does a lot more than just gives you codes, it gives you more info about the story, all the scientists and marines are shitting in their pants and telling what they've heard or experienced. and then there's the video discs. I would've never thought that the guy who made the story for 7th guest and 11th hour could do a plot as diverse as this, there are small details everywhere and also some easter eggs. This has been one hell of a year for fps games, first Far Cry came from the bushes and surprised everybody with the superb engine, now DooM3 delivers more technologically advanced game (although Far Cry is more superior with outdoor locations, maybe) that has many times better plot in whole than Far Cry. And if Half-Life 2 is truly coming in September AND it is as good as the hype says, then I can only say: "Wow, this is one unbelievable year for fps games, three superb A class games in under 6 months." -

DooM3 has a story, a even greater one than first expected. -
The movie looks really weird after seeing that trailer. But the cast is totally superb, Bill Murray (one of my all time most favourite actors), Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett... I'm definately interested on seeing this movie.

And if you do buy Outlaws, remember that there is a Direct3D patch also available for the game, it will look quite sweet after that.

A superb game I tell you, a superb game.

http://www.cube-europe.com/newsgfx/DSopen_final.jpg http://www.cube-europe.com/newsgfx/DSclosed_final.jpg http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=6784 In preparation for the launch of Nintendo DS in North America and Japan later this year and Europe in Q1 2005, Nintendo today announces major global developments for the innovative dual-screen, wireless, hand-held video game system. Nintendo DS, originally chosen as the code name, has been selected as the official product name. The Nintendo DS name evokes the idea of a portable system with dual screens, providing the rationale for the final name. The hardware also has been redesigned to sport a slimmer, sharper look. The retooled Nintendo DS features a thinner, black base and an angular platinum flip-top cover. The face buttons and shoulder buttons are larger, and some have been reconfigured for optimum use. The unit includes a new storage slot for the touch screen's stylus, and the speakers now broadcast in stereo sound, with or without headphones. EDIT: Sorry, couldn't find smaller pics

It's working now.

It's from planetdaikatana's report of the Daikatana launch party back in the Ion Storm days. I agree on this.

There's just something magical in this old picture.

Well in 28th of October 2004 he is turning 37, according to his own webpage.

Yeah, and Romero's got two kids. Wasn't there a joke sometime in the net that Romero's wife Raluca/Rhaluka is old enough to go to the same school as Romero's kids? btw, am I the only one who thinks that Romero has a giant head?
-
Heh, because I don't have the game yet, I can't be 100% sure, but I've got my hands on couple of reliable tweaking stuff. It doesn't matter "that much" what graphics card one has (at least GF4Ti4200->), what matters more is how much RAM you have in your machine. Like I got GF4Ti4200 with 128 MB and 1024 MB RAM. That *should* do the trick.

I was actually worried for a second or two that I had done the famous misspelling of the name and you mocked me because of that...
