I missed this subforum for a bit. Couldn't figure out where my thread had gone. How is it that only 1 other person is playign spore?

In each stage there is 3 paths you can take e.g. In the cell stage you can be a Carnivore, Herbivore or Omnivore depending on what you eat through the stage, and in the Creature phase you can make friends or kill other species or a bit of both - leaving you with Predator, Social, or Adaptable. These then determine what skills you get at each stage and also shapes your future path a bit. The number of parts on your creature doesn't matter so much as which parts you have. These let your creature do different things and better parts have higher levels of these abilities. You find better parts by finding bones or by defeating or making friends with other species. As you do this you gain more DNA points that you can spend to 'evolve' your creature by adding or changing/upgrading parts. After the creature phase there is a tribal phase and then a civilisation phase, then you finally get into the space phase. The space phase is absolutely fucking massive and not particularly easy. The only real issue I've found is that your planet gets attacked all the time, which is apparently going to be calmed down with a patch. Along the way you have to not only design your species, but also their ground, water, air and space vehicles as well as buildings. You can even give them clothes and a national anthem. The whole thing is pretty big and takes a little time to realise how much is actually in there. I think I probably missed something. Limb placement does make a difference on your character. If you make a short creature then it wont be able to reach fruit in high trees and also the shape changes the way they dance etc (not really gameplay but still it has an effect). Multiplayer is just races being transfered between everyone.

OMG SO AWESOME! http://uk.gamespot.com/video/945727/6193807/videoplayerpop Also an interview and some gameplay footage is out recently showing off Eldar, as well as the previous Ork and Marine footage. This game looks like it will easily be a favourite of mine. Huzzah for DoW using the CoH engine.

I was a little disappointed with the magic at first but it gets better. The higher level you are, the more magic attacks you have. So you end up with RT+Y, RT+B, RT+Jump and magic imbued on the end of some combos. I would agree that melee seems a bit stronger though. Freezing enemies as Ice was pretty useful later on and it looks like the others are just as useful for their secondary effect.

Konspicuous Konsumption: Eat 100 sandviches. Don't Touch Sandvich: Kill 50 scouts using Natascha. Seems you are correct sir.

Lmao! The tags sum up this thread entirely.

Awesome point, I didn't notice it at first. I really like steel, the new payload map seems like it'll be a winner (I don't much care for Gold Rush, although it's better than some) and if we get a new style and/or game mode then the maps will be the best thing about this update. I'm not impressed with the weapons so far, I still think my canon idea was better than Natascha. Slowing people down for less damage? Meh, would have worked better on another class such as the Sniper. KGB are ok, but again nothing brilliant. I hope they have something good to replace the shotgun.

I like it But there's a trick. The front of each icon forms a small point of pixels. You move your mouse towards that point and the image is always in the correct position, with a little rotation needed occasionally. If you could somehow prevent the icons from being broken up to always have this small cone at the front, it would be harder and more awesome

I hope they give the Spy some love next. The Spy lasts roughly 0.5 secs against a Pyro If I wasn't so lazy and had bothered to make a suggestion for new Heavy weapons, I would have gone for a cannon. Have it shoot canon balls that can hit people standing in a line, perhaps pushing them back. Great for corridors or pushing that Pyro away.

I'm in. UK will win hands down though. Because I would be on the team

That would be Sonic 3. If I remember correctly, you just get 50 rings and jump in Sonic 2. Still, it's possible to get all the chaos emeralds by about half way through the game and then play the rest as Super Sonic. Be careful on Wing Fortress though, lots of falling off to be done there as Super Sonic.

And they all lived happily ever after.

He was probably high On topic - aewsome

Had a bit of a research this afternoon and ti be honest, it looks like after a few weeks of practice it could be awesome.

Sonic 1, 2 and 3 + Knuckles are all awesome. like Dan said 3 + Knuckles is wicked as one, however there are small differences in playing them seperately. If you become in insane 16-bit Sonic fan then you may want to play them seperately and together with all characters in order to see various endings, changes in levels and also music I believe. 3D is a bit poor really, but not completely shite. Sonic CD is a bit odd but very good. Sonic Spinball is good IMO.

It does look like a grapling hook game.

So, I suppose you've all heard about the pyro news...
Nick replied to Scrobbs's topic in Video Gaming
