Nothing wrong with xbox loading times though. especially if you put a... uhhh... back up of a game on the hard drive and... uhhh... remember to delete it after 24 hours... or something similar I'd say xbox just for the overall usefullness of the thing. Who cares if it's big and ugly. It can do more, or it can do it more easily anyhow. Decide what games you really, really want to play and then choose a console based on that. I haven't gotten around to playing the single player demo of DoW yet but as I mentioned before I played the multiplayer beta a fair bit and I can honestly say that the multiplayer in DoW is absolutely brilliant in my opinion. The sheer size of some of the battles and the animations and... well... everything. The game looks stunning and for me plays the same way. Yay DoW, yay

For some reason after seeing the new slim PS2 which costs about £99, I'm actually really tempted to get one. I've made a point of hating the PS2 for ages and don't have one and never planned on getting one, but this is... slim and... not too much moneys. WHat's the score people? Anyone else out there interested by the new PS2?

Ok, I went to thorpe park at the weekend, I've never been to a theme park so it was something new for me. I have to admit I had a great time and most of the rides where pretty good. Being the uber manly man that I am of course, I hardly flinched on any of the rides and just ahd a slight smile when getting off each. Apart from The Detinator! This ride actually made me scream, andscream I did like a little girlie, and then laughed histerically after for a bit whilst my bollox sank back down out of my chest. The site says "Detonator: A forged titanium bolt casts the riders groundwards. 75 kph dials up 5.5; the most G' s the body can take. Supermagnets stop the plunging riders inches from impact. The fear smells rancid." Well to honest the whole place smells rancid so I don't know wat they're on about there. But this ride is proper brown trouser business. Good stuff

Anyhow, the speed could easily be different depending on the weight of the ride machinerismics's See, you get pulled down by the big lump of metal you're attatched to, so surely if one was heavier, it would go faster, right? well... yeah, it is. But I feal as though there's alot of good games I have probably missed out on by not having a PS2, and this is an excuse to get one. Looking around the net today though made me think a bit more as I went to liksang and thought 'mmmmmm that gba sp looks mighty tempting right now' and then realised that the DS is comming and so is the PSP. Maybe I should hold out for the new handhelds.
