  1. Hot titles you're waiting for

All of those would be in my list. Also: Children of mana - as stated in the other thread Loco Roco - the odd PSP tilting thingamy Spore - ah yes, Spore
  2. Children of mana

Sorry my bad. Children of mana is the next in the series of mana games and it's on the DS. Secret of mana (or Seiken Densetsu 2 in Japan) was a hugely popular game by Squaresoft for the SNES and was kind of the alternative root to Final Fantasy. Seiken Densetsu 3 was also brilliant but never made it out of Japan. All the other mana games that they made after were pretty rubbish from what I've heard but Children of mana goes back to the original style of the SNES games which is what I think pretty much all of the fans wanted. It's an RPG, you go around smatting stuff up hack and slash style, get better weapons and armour etc and get magic. In the Secret of Mana there were 3 characters - Fighter, Offensive magic user and Healer basically and you could play it 3 player if you had a multitap. The story line is usually something along the lines of 'The mana tree is in trouble, you're the chosen one so go find the sword of mana and kill all the mad evil you encounter to save the day whilst lots of other stuff happens along the way.' One of the great features was the circular menu thingy (dunno exactly what it was called) were the game would pause and a circular meny would pop up and you could select your magic or to use an item etc. It worked really well and kept the gameplay fast and flowing. Anyway Children of mana looks amazing and it was released in Japan along with the DS Lite, now we just need to wait for them to release a localised version in the US so I can import it here to the UK And Yufster, I don't think you can play it Wi-Fi unfortunately. But I might be wrong.
  3. Sonic X-treme demo!

w00t! The game was going to be made for the saturn and was going to be the first True 3D sonic game. It was supposed to be SEGA's Mario 64 if I remember right. I can't believe that there's only one demo disc in existence. I mean why would there be? They surely would have made more than one and it's not as if they would just throw them away. In any case I'm looking forward to that gameplay footage.
  4. Just how awesome is the DS Lite?

You would? The Lite looks supurb and I'll definately be getting one. Not until they sort out some decent colours however, as whilst I don't really care about the colour the current ones make me want to empty my stomach each time I see them. A black or red one is what I'm waiting for. This is why I'm glad I have my oldskool DS though, as it means I can carry on enjoying all the amazing games until they do bring out new colours.
  5. Your Animal Crossing Town

Bwahahaha that's nice. What if he is? Now he won't give you any oranges as all!

  7. Your Animal Crossing Town

  10. Castlevania DS

I went for 100%map, I haven't gotten into the lucky 7 room yet. For the Iron golems I'm pretty sure the dead pirate soul worked for extra damage from behind and I got behind him with the barbariccia soul then got out the scorpion tail. As for getting 100% souls I don't think I have enough patience.
  11. Castlevania DS

It's true, the Euro boxes are rediculously big, I much prefere the black US ones on me shelf.
  12. Castlevania DS

I say lies also. Mainly because I don't want it to be true.
  13. Castlevania DS

I have the Euro version, I'll be vaguely annoyed if I now find out there is a difference and that the Euro version is worse somehow
  14. Your Animal Crossing Town

I'm in two minds over whether to get this game or not. I'm not sure if I would enjoy it, or if I would get bored of it because nothing actually seems to happen.
  15. Headsmiley contest, post 'em here

Stop that, there's a perfectly good smiley for that :shifty: :shifty: :shifty:
  16. Sonic the Hedgehog's week off

I kind of got the impression that he wished for SEGA and it appeared. A 'POOF!' would have been a better onomatope to put in the pic but perhaps SEGA fell from the sky? In any case the artist may have been worried that people would get the wrong idea and think he was calling all SEGA employees poofs
  17. Welcome (back) to the forums!

    Duck and cover
  18. Sonic the Hedgehog

Some nice screeans over at UK:R of the latest Sonic game for the XBox 360 and PLAYSTATION3. If I needed a reason to buy a next gen console, this would be it.
  19. Sonic the Hedgehog

Completely agree, you can't make a 3D game flow as well as the old 2D sonic games. The side scrollers where set up, as in you'd be speeding along and see an enemy appear on the screen, you'd jump, bounce off the enemy, soar over some spikes and land on the other side still speeding along. With a 3D game it's too difficult to predict the players movement. *cough* enough of that. I LIKE THE SCREENS!
