  1. Some free advice to Peter Molyneux...

I think most of us feel that way. There's so many let downs when it comes to games with a lot of hype, I usually just expect the worst and feel nicely surprised when something turns out good.
  2. Another World - Comic Book!

I have to agree that this was a large part of what made the game great for me. However I do really like the idea of the comics, they look pretty sweet. I'd be worried though in case it wasn't good for some reason, like Star Wars 1-3.
  3. Some free advice to Peter Molyneux...

If the dog acts patially as some kind of interface, replacing the minimap or whatever, and you can leave it behind hten you just lost your map. So basically he's saying "you can do this! It might be something you really wanna do because you wanna be a cunt, but if you do it your gimping yourself." I had a point but I forgot
  4. NTL are poo

I never had problems with NTL, got Virgin installed in my new flat a couple of weeks ago and haven't had any disconnects. I think it's probably just you downloading too much Pr0n.
  5. Some free advice to Peter Molyneux...

lol women I think Molyneux is alright, it's good that he's passionate and excited about the games he wants to make. If he wasn't, they'd probably be shit. Also it's good to have characters like him in the industry, I'd rather laugh at the rantings of a complete nutter than listen to some boring twat that has no charisma at all. Until I read this thread I thought everyone liked Pete.
  6. Reh Dogg

Genius, legend. Reh Dogg's music may just change your like. Some choice videos And And Myspace goodness here.
  7. Happy Birthday to Nick! Also Evildonut!

Stop now. You ruined my birthday thread, I'm devestated
  8. New people: Read this, say hi.

Indeed, I believe my statement still stands true.
  9. Heroes in a half shell

I had a play of the TMNT demo and it's actually really good! The demo has some crap time limit that I haven't quite figured out yet, but it seems the faster you go through the level the more time you get ¬¬ Has a nice selection of moves, you can switch between the 4 characters and there's some cool team moves for fighting and getting about. Also a nice bullet time mode that triggers when you beat lots of people up. I suggest giving it a play if you've nothing better to do, I think I may get this game
  10. My mouth tastes of petroleum

How do you know what petroleum tastes like?
  11. Happy Birthday to Nick! Also Evildonut!

Cheers all 'twas 1984. Lots of things happened in 1984, like... the TMNT were invented and also there was a book called 1984 and other stuff. And March 1st! Wow March 1st, remembered by everyone as the day that in 1966 the Chancellor of the Exchequer, James Callaghan, confirmed the "historic and momentous" decision to change over to decimal coinage! Hurrah!
  12. Heroes in a half shell

Skip to the end, omg! What is that singing about? If you can call it singing
  13. Command & Conquer 3 demo

I didn't have the videos de-syncing at all Also the Left/Right mouse click seemed fine to me. I think it's the standard for most RTS games lately. Maybe I'm wrong, it seemed right to me though.
  14. Heroes in a half shell

Lies! Raphael ftw! Also it's worth leaving the demo for a bit to see the rolling demo thingy
  15. Command & Conquer 3 demo

Ok, so capturing the enemy construction yard allows you to build all the NOD stuff too and have a look at it
  16. Command & Conquer 3 demo

W00t! It's totally awesome! Just played thruogh the Demo. That's the tutorial, campaign mission and a skirmish game. If you've played any RTS ever then the tutorial doesn't tell you much you don't already know, although there's a couple of UI things that it may be worth knowing. The rest of it is amazing, the cut scenes, the gameplay, the UI. Love it all! Very nice feature is that you can cut individual buildings from the power grid, freeing up the power that it uses and preventing you from being out of power whilst you build a new power plant. Shame you can't play NOD in the Demo, although I'll go back and see if I can capture some NOD buildings with an engy Definately getting this game on release.
  17. Hahaha so no backwards compatability and a "new (cheap) chassis" and they'll probably charge more for it too.
  18. Super Mario Bros

My dad maxed out the score counter on columns on the Mega Drive.
  19. The Movie "Children of Men"

Good flim, Clive Owen's acting was utter crap however. He wasn't the only one though, there were a few quite bad actors in there and I'm not usually one to care. To balance it out there were some good characters and actors in there also. The film itself and the camera work was ace
  20. GameLife! I thought there was something missing from my internet viewing recently, I think catching up on a few episodes of GameLife was what I needed. I was atually quite surprised at first that the quality really hasn't improved a great deal at all. I still can't help but laugh the whole way through every episode though.
  21. Wow, 'research' shows that moving burns more callories than not moving! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6376637.stm
  22. This thread reminds me of how the internet used to be.
