  1. Now they've been made cute to boot! Shit! This is the redesign due to public outcry?
  2. Nokia cocked by N-Gage rage

Maybe they're used to a different kind of software development. I wonder if Nokia drivers and firmware and such are made in much the same ridiculous secrecy.
  3. Cleaning software

I have some programmes that won't uninstall (Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich, to name but one) and I have some files downloaded from p2p places that are corrupt beyond all reckoning -- they don't want to be accessed or erased and they claim they're being accessed all the time. I tried to deal with these in safe mode, which occasionally helps, but didn't. Do you know of any good cleaning programmes that can sort this out or a way to go about it that I am failing to consider? Anyone is welcome to chirp in.
  4. Cleaning software

    Heyheyhey! It worked. Awesome.
  5. Let's hope he drops dead before he gets to make more. Like so:
  6. Random Psychonauts Tidbits (possible spoilers)

I thought you were supposed to do that...
  7. Guess Which Movie

Tried to do it twice. Was annoyed by the knowledge of crappy movies this required. Gave up. Generally I am really good at recognizing a movie from a few frames.
  8. Batman Begins. Verdict:

Have any of you looked at the toys made "after" this movie? I did at my local HEB just a few hours ago and was freaked out how little any of them have to do with the movie itself. They all look hellishly bootleg. Case in point: Deep sea exploration suit? No self-respecting comic book artist would draw this. Also, heh, this shit doesn't appear in the movie. What the hell does that golden thing with purple cellophane do anyway? Far more over-the-top than anything in the movie. Holy batshit, batman! URL
  9. Star Wars vomit bags

    NoooooooOOOOOoooo¬¬oooOOOOOOOoooo!
  10. Batman Begins. Verdict:

I thought it was the best comic-to-movie ever. I liked it more than Sin City, in fact the two cannot really be compared, even though both have Frank Miller in one form or another. I wouldn't call it 'your basic action movie' because there is something more to it than that. I haven't enjoyed an action movie this much since I was twelve. The only thing that bothered me was that Gotham looked more like Houston than NYC, but that is really a cosmetic issue.
  11. San Andreas (PC)

For Vice City I completely remapped controls. I hope they're not as bad in San Andreas...
  12. Birth of a Clown - animation

It is not bad. It was just thicker in person than I expected it to be. I blame his good control of the written language for these expectations of mine.I have a fairly ridiculous accent myself, not a typical Serbian accent, it is somewhere between generic Yankee English and Ukrainian.
  13. Tough customers

    Adventure games are better. ¬ ¬ ¬
  14. Tough customers

America is awesome because you really don't have to learn the language of the land to live here. Your ability to do stuff is limited, but hey, not as much as it would be elsewhere. You can be a longshoreman or a garbage man or a gardener or a fruit picker or whatnot without ever saying a word of English. The traffic signs are all written out (as opposed to symbolic as they are in Europe) to force you to take the bus, although you can always fake it by looking at what other people are doing and follow suit. At the store you just pick what you want yourself and hand the dude the amount of money written in green numbers on the register. You may watch TV when you come home from work, but that shit is generally so moronic that you really don't need to understand the language to follow it. Before you know it, you will have a house in the suburbs and little retarded first generation American children who will when they come of age gently break to you that ever since you came to the states your favourite crackers were in fact dog snacks and that you've been washing your hair with tanning oil.

  16. Vin Diesel brings Agent 47 to life

Bald John Malkovich would be perfect for the role. I never imagined Hitman as a guy with no neck, which is what Vin will give to the role, absence of neck... somebody more spindly, quiet and calm and not a war mule of sorts would be better.
  17. Birth of a Clown - animation

Did you voice it as well? You sport a pretty clean accentless English... unlike, say, Marek, the creator of Voot. ¬ ¬ ¬
  18. Tough customers

Best Buy motherfucker tried to persuade me there was no way of hooking up a PS2 or an Xbox controller to a PC.
  19. Tell Us About Yourself

    DoW?
  20. San Diego Comicon

Man, I derailed the thread just like that... We had Knorr soup cubes as I was growing up in Belgrade. Pronounced it kh-NOHRrr in Serbian.

  22. Tell Us About Yourself

I used to live in Gaithersburg. I could actually claim to live in DC and not be lying too much cause, shit, the last station of the red line was there! I went to Frederick once to take some SAT test or something. The place looked kinda deserted. I never had to go back or had a desire to.
  23. Nerd Shirts

I don't own many logo t-shirts. I proudly wear my USA ARMY OF ONE t-shirt because is it is a totally ludicrous thing one would never suspect me to wear.
  24. Favorite Psychonauts level

I think all minds have redeeming qualities, save for the brain tumbler experiment which I felt was too generic and straightforward. It began well (with the caravan and the egg) and it ended well (with the blueprint boss fight), but everything in between was meh. They could've done something more immediately weird with the level like with Fred's, Nein's and Boyd's minds, but they didn't.
