Who the hell is Legsie? -
For a second there I thought that was linking to Captain August.

Stop it. You may create another awesome obstacle course.

No, not AdventureGamers, no one is a dick at adventure gamers. AdventureGamers is the land of unnecessary IMHO qualifiers and s. I thought you were from either AGsland or Mojoland because you fit in with the crowd rather quickly. I thought you, like Huz were someone we knew under a different name.

That was beautiful, Jake. You brought tears of joy to my eyes. If only you didn't end this blurb of transcendental insight with an @ and so many !s.

I think in my case it was either Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail or Commander Keen 1. The very first game that I ever played was Tetris, however, and I sucked so very badly. I remember I turned on my father's computer when he wasn't around and typed tetris in the command line (which I saw my father do earlier). I didn't really understand what the point of the game was, so I spent all my time creating nice colourful arrangements that were covered with a line of "game over" very quickly. I cleared my first line entirely by accident and it took me a few more plays to realize clearing the falling clutter was the point of the game.

That's what YOU think, you punk-ass nigga foo'!

IF THAT SITE WERE A CHICK, ID TOTATLY DO IT!

Also worth adding that we are easily enamoured with good syntax, diction and grammar in general. Bad grammar makes us judge you with extreme prejudice and say things like, "Oh, GAWD! :( :(". It is very shcocking* to realize that the forum is populated exclusively with assholes as big as myself. *) Sic. A typo. I like how it sounds.

Didn't it close, like, a year ago?

I think my computer is dying. Some programs started acting up a week or so ago, so I shuffled the disks around, formatted D, set it as C and installed Windows again. The other day I installed Doom 3 and played a little bit of that. Then I grew bored, tried to install System Shock 2, it didn't want to be installed, so I gave up. I tried to install Uplink, but it short-circuited my on-motherboard soundcard, gave me a lot of static and restarted windows. I installed Grim Fandango, ran the patch, copied some savegame files from the game my friend was playing, ran the game, and the fucking thing started freezing in the weirdest of ways, a small loop of the music repeating ad nauseum. Or the music would die when I loaded a game and I would be forced to play without. If I don't turn on 3d acceleration, all the models are split into junk artifacts and scattered all over the rooms... It may have shit to do with Service Pack 2. Any ideas what is going on here? I ran GF just fine on the last incarnation of this very computer.

Technical difficulties with Grim Fandango, life
MrHoatzin replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Video Gaming
Oh, yeah, and I had copied all the lab files to the disk. I don't know why the sound card would be fucking me now, and it wasn't before... I think it may be Sevice Pack 2. Anyone else with that service pack have trouble running GF? Alternatively my motherboard drivers may be out of date or however wrong. -
Now, that is what I call a bouncer: a judge, jury and executioner all rolled into one.

Man... I totally didn't register it until he was playing. I would grab one of the barrels and crouch and then hold the barrel between myself and the gunner fellow until I got to where I could just drop the barrel and shoot the fucker.

I've been watching ma main homie punk ass fool nigga playing it and I swear some of the maps have changed slightly since last I played. As if they've been adding new shit in some bits and pieces. For example, one of the bases in the channel, the one where you had to blow up some barrels to release some debree to break through a wall... this place... I could swear that the first time I played this portion, that orange cart -- the one on the right, far away, by the door -- I could swear it wasn't there!

God has no soul. Man, that sounds profound.

It is true, however. That was her job, getting everything back on track. Why should she be falsely modest or veil her purpose in coy jargon?

It will be something small, it has to be. This whole seven years between games doesn't work.
-
Oh, man that is a hell of a game. Never beat it though.

Whoops! How big a chunk of that was picked up by Majesco and how much did Microsoft spend?

It had some really awesome music.

Me too! It is the best Tim Burton movie in the past ten years, which isn't saying much.

My desktop wallpaper is the end all be all of desktop walpaperdom. It has everything -- suffering, death, bunnies, cars, lego and a fully-functional anal door.
